Dr. Rezai saved my life/mouth by executing a long and careful retreatment of a root canal and placing a post in another tooth so that I could have a new bridge constructed instead of the awful prospect of upper implants, beneath the sinus, which would have involved a bone graft, as well. He worked carefully and painstakingly and expertly to make sure that I was a candidate for the bridge. He could not have been more conscientious than if my teeth were his own. He is also very kind and very patient and is great at putting the anxious patient (me) at ease. The office has some glitches with access and scheduling, likely a function of multiple offices in various locations, but it is worth being persistent if you want the very best endodontist on the planet. read more

I had a very bad infection in a molar, along with a lot of inflammation on another branch of the root in the same tooth. I had not come in for treatment for about a month after the pain started and I was in a lot of pain. Dr. Rezai first addressed the infection, and then did the root canal. He had a very good manner, and explained everything that was going on. When I went back to my dentist to fill the hole that had to be drilled in my crown, my dentist exclaimed over how clean the root canal was and what a good job Dr. Rezai had done. I appreciate how quickly I got in to see him, how much attention he gave me, how he listened to me and addressed my symptoms, and what a good job he did. His staff is also very nice. read more

I typically do not write reviews unless something is truly fantastic or the provided services have exceed my expectations to the point that I cannot stop talking about them to my friends. I am happily joining other yelpers in singing accolades to the Rezai, Kim and Shuster practice. Dr. Shuster was AMAZING!!! I went to my dentist for a regular cleaning and told him that something was wrong with my wisdom tooth. He checked everything and then, he kidded me about needing the root canal procedure. I was already scared hearing about it, but I thought he was joking. When he finally told me that he was serious and was referring me to this group of the dentists, I was really scared. But I called and made an appointment for the same day. From the moment I entered their Alameda office, I was treated kindly, warmly and the staff tried to reassure me. During the consultation, Dr. Shuster explained everything clearly and he listened to my fears and my perhaps ignorant questions. He was patient and did not hint anything negative; he was not judgmental or critical about my fears. Instead, he was attentive. On the day of the so dreaded root canal procedure, Dr. Shuster and the staff members of this office were supportive, reassuring and just plain sweet. Dr. Shuster was gentle, caring, and he worked very hard to make me feel relaxed and at ease. And...he was SO attentive that the moment I slightly flinched, he added another anesthetic. He really wanted me to be very comfortable. The procedure did NOT hurt, at all! Therefore, I am recommending him without any reservation. If I need another treatment, I will return to Dr. Shuster at the Alameda office without hesitation. In fact, I hope that he will stay at this office for a long time. Thank you Dr. Shuster. First and foremost, when you walk into an office and staff is welcoming, funny and attentive (thank you Michelle!) it sets the mood for the rest of your visit. I am not a fan of intense dental work so I was a little nervous going in. When I sat in the chair the Dental Assistant was awesome and caring. Dr. Dudum is what shall I say? THE BOMB! Talk about gentle dentistry! Sitting in that chair and still a bit stressed about the work that was to be done, Dr. Dudum got in there and got the job done sans stress. Asking how I was doing every few minutes he made me feel comfortable and was very clear in explaining what he was doing and what may need to be done in the future. The follow-up call from Michelle the next day was even more endearing. I definitely recommend this office for your dental work or just to listen to some good country music :) read more

Apparently they read my review and was not happy with how the situation was handled and had been trying to get in touch with me to rectify the situation. Still a one star but thanks for the response to make yourself look better. They explain to me what I already know. Obviously as a working woman I can just take off on the drop of a hat. My appointment day shouldn't determine the type of service I recieved. You receptionist or whoever obviously don't communicate and aren't organized. That it took 3 days and still got no response. As I said I called in the am she had 2 full days and I recieved nothing. I've worked with many offices i know how it works and the insurance. I was referred by them and my referral was sent to you. You had all the info my social and everything you need to determine cost and coverage. There is no excuse for poor service. read more

First off, I would give Dr. Rezai more than 5 stars if I could... Last week, I was at a different dentist's office receiving a traumatizing and painful partial root canal that was performed by someone who was completely incompetent. This resulted in an infection and landed me in Urgent Care over the weekend. Desperate to not be seen by this same dentist to finish the job, I called Dr. Rezai's office at the Alameda location and spoke with Theresa (Sp?) who by the way was so super nice and sympathetic to my situation, scheduled me right away with Dr. Rezai the very same morning (which was yesterday). He had done a root canal for my husband in the past about 4 years ago at the Orinda location and that went very smoothly and painlessly according to him. All I have to say is my visit with Dr, Rezai yesterday went exactly the way it was supposed to. He is experienced, extremely efficient, fully capable and knowledgeable of his profession. I felt like I was in very good hands and felt that my well being was of his highest priority. The tools he used at this Alameda office were modern and sophisticated. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Rezai for root canals and trust him implicitly. What a relief and wonderful ending to my situation. He is HANDS DOWN the specialist to go to. Period. read more

Dr. Rezai has been doing all my root canal work since I was in the military. I've never had any post work problems either. The staff is so sweet and have become part of my family, since I've had about 5 root canals now lol. They don't make you feel bad about your dental hygiene and Dr. Rezai is completely honest with you. I've been seeing them for close to a decade now & if I didn't know any better I'd say I am their biggest fan aka patient bc of the many trips I've done here in the past & the many more to come. ... These folks were able to get me in quick, they asked me what station for relaxing music I would like to listen to and the best part was during I didn't feel a darn thing. 2 days later and I am still a little bit sore, but they assured me that is normal. I had never had a root canal before and approached this with great trepidation. Silly me! Dr. Rezai's staff was welcoming, friendly, and professional from the moment I walked in the door. The actual procedure was painless, (OK, slight pinch from the Novocaine needle), and they explained what they were going to do thoroughly. Went here for a luncheon , and their office is niiiiiiiiiiceeeeeee ! comparing it to the one i work at a few blocks over.. but it is really crammed. i like how roomy our dental office is for the patients. I had to have a root canal re-done because it was done improperly, and this place was amazing. Everyone was so nice and friendly. The dentist even called me himself after the procedure was done to make sure I was doing okay. I felt very comfortable, and am not even upset that I have to go get another next year when I have more insurance again. This was my second root canal with EndoCare, but my first time having the procedure done by Dr. Rezai. I've always been impressed with the kindness, professionalism, and high quality of care of this group. Noone wants to have a root canal, but everyone from the front desk to the assistant to the Dr. himself do their best to make you feel relaxed and well taken care of during the procedure. His office is also equipped with very hi-end hi-tech machines/equipment, its more than what I've ever seen. I am absolutely amazed! I just had the best dental experience of my life with Vlad Shuster DMD. I have dentist anxiety as a result of a few traumatizing experiences, which led to me avoiding going for years. A week ago I woke up in excruciating pain and knew I was about to pay for all those years of ignoring my cavities. I scheduled an appointment with a dentist here in Alameda, and after taking a few xrays, she referred me to Dr. Rezai's office for a root canal. I had to hold back tears at the thought of a root canal because I have heard many horror stories!! I was told to head straight over there so they could examine my mouth, and I was secretly hoping they wouldn't have time to do the root canal today just so I could put it off a little while longer. When I got to Dr. Rezai's office the lady at the front desk was super nice to me, I filled out the paper work, and was in the chair in no time. Dr. Shuster came in and introduced himself, simply explained the problem and said he was going to fix it. Like it was no big deal. Very straight forward and confident! I swear I did not feel a thing while he was injecting the stuff to numb me, and I freakin hate needles!! As we were waiting for my mouth to numb the fear started to sink in, but as soon as they got started I almost wanted to laugh. It was so painless and comfortable, I was blown away. I'm also very impressed by how FAST the entire procedure was. I couldn't believe when they were done. Ten times easier than any simple cleaning or filling I've ever had. I'm still not sure if I really had a root canal today! Lol. Dr. Shuster and his staff are amazing and I am so happy I was referred to a competent, gentle, skilled & confident endodontist. From the superb, relaxed front of house folks to the dental assistants to the two doctors, every aspect of their work was excellent. I was referred to Dr. Rezai's office by my "now" new dentist Dr. Alain Montiel (who by the way, is FANTASTIC!). Both dentist's practice in Alameda. I was treated by Dr. Shuster. From the moment I stepped into the office I was greeted and treated like I was a VIP. Talk about friendly and kind?? Excellent! I was extremely impressed in which made me calm and confident about what was about to happen - a root canal! Yes, I know it's silly to make that big of deal out of going to the dentist but, it was remarkable and needs to be shared. From the front desk staff to ALL the "incredible" dental assistants (3rd visit already) to Dr. Shuster - all just great! Dr. Shuster's demeanor, patience, empathy and genuine concern for my comfort (shots and drills) were most appreciated and much needed at the time. It was painless compared to past experiences. Also, great perk - I picked out any type of music that I wanted to hear and then just relaxed! Yes, relaxed! The entire experience "tops" any root canal procedure (this is #7 throughout my life) that I have experienced.
