We have had Alhambra water service for about 6 years now. We have always had wonderful, friendly delivery driver's and service. When calling customer service, it has always a positive experience. Hours on the phone couldn't get the account straight but an honest Yelp review resulted in the reply below. The account was then solved in a day and the equipment the next day. I'd been a customer of Alhambra Water before for more than 15 years, with great customer service, and never had any issues or anything. But when Primo Brands Water took over Alhambra, everything turned upside down. During the period that Primo Brands took over Alhambra which was around March-April 2025, there were problems with their website that would not work like not recognizing my account that caused me couldn't pay my bill on time. I called customer service, they answered and said they wouldn't recognize my account from my phone number either. So, I had to wait for a period of time until a couple months later their website was working after the Primo Brands could complete updating all Alhambra's customers' account information. After their website worked I think around sometime in April 2025, I found that they charged me late fee of $10 on 04/30/2025 and another late fee of $20 on 05/02/2025 for the period when I couldn't pay my bill because their site wasn't working for almost 2 months for Alhambra's customers. Later, I tried to call Primo Brands for the issue, I was on hold for more than an hour and no one talked or helped me. So, I ended up paying my bill with the late fees they charged. I didn't want water from them anymore. So, I ordered to skip the delivery, but once I forgot to skip it, they delivered 6 bottles of water to me. This time I forgot to pay the bill because I didn't mean to order them. So, they charged me a late fee for $20 a month for two months. It's fine, and I paid for it since I forgot. However, they shouldn't charge the total of $30 late fees for 04/30/2025 and 05/02/2025 when their website wasn't working and no one could be reached over the phone. Moreover, after I paid everything for whatever balance on 10/04/2025 on their site, later I found out I have a new balance for next month of $1.17 for credit card fee after I paid all balance. No notice ever for credit card fee. This is unreasonable! I just need my $30 back, dispute the $1.17 credit card fee, and cancel my membership! read more

Zero stars, do not recommend. This company is so poorly run, I don't blame the drivers for how terrible the experience is. The website is trash with "bots" that go nowhere, deliveries get canceled or are incorrect, communication is nonexistent. You can't trust any information provided for deliveries. If you have another option in your area, even if it's buying a dispenser and refilling bottles yourself (many options for this in Sonoma County) please do that instead. My service has been terminated and they picked everything up, four days after the window they provided. Again, no shade to drivers or staff, I can't imagine what it's like to work there. read more

Alhambra merged with Primo brands last month, complete disaster. We haven't had a water delivery since 4/3. Have been overcharged and have spent over 2 hours on the phone trying to sort things out. Still no water. Takes forever to get someone on the phone and they have no way to contact drivers. I cancelled its just ridiculous. We have crew that needs water for their trucks and had to go out and buy eslewhere while paying for this service. read more

The only reason to have any stars at all is cuz our original delivery guy, Howard, is a fantastic guy! He delivered for us for years...but ever since Nestle took over earlier this year...we had to stop using them. Inconsistent deliveries if there were deliveries at all. Since Alhambra was taken over by Primo we have not had a water delivery since March 2025! We have had 6 missed deliveries since May. Each time I spoke with a customer representative and was assured we would get the next delivery. NO DELIVERIES! Just spent 20 minutes on hold waiting for a "supervisor" and then the system hung up on me! Apparently the only way that Alhambra actually responds is if you give them a negative review on Yelp, noting all of the terrible things about their service, so here goes: My biggest issue is that when scheduling a delivery, they CONFIRM that the delivery has been received, follow up with an email saying you have a "last chance" to make changes to said delivery, and then when the day comes, checking the portal, it indicates that your water is en route and on its way, when that's a complete falsehood. At no point after scheduling a delivery was I notified that my delivery could not be completed. In fact, I had no idea I wouldn't be receiving my water until the delivery day came and went without any water. I had a scheduled delivery for January 3. No water arrived. I called to complain and ask for expedited delivery on January 4. The person I spoke with indicated that there were "delivery drivers in my area that might be able to service me today, but if not they had me scheduled for Saturday, January 7." No water was received on January 4. No water was received on January 7. I checked the portal on January 7, and again, it indicated that my water was "en route." Lies. On January 7, they changed my delivery date to today, January 9. I checked the portal today, and that delivery date was deleted and instead replaced with a new delivery date of SATURDAY JANUARY 14. THAT'S NEARLY 2 WEEKS AFTER THE DATE I INITIALLY MADE MY ORDER. UNBELIEVABLE. Possibly the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. We're changing service immediately and I highly recommend you never rely on this company for your drinking water needs. read more

We've had several missed deliveries. Each time I call I get told they'll be out in about 2 weeks. This has happened 6 times recently. I finally cancelled after the last no show and fully expect to have them take weeks and weeks to come pick up their cooler and the small recycling plant worth of empty bottles I have. I got hooked up with Alhambra because Costco recommended them but I'm going to be calling Costco to suggest they stop recommending them. Here's the thing, we've had issues long before Covid so they really can't blame it on the pandemic or low staffing. Alhambra is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. It has been over a month since we have received a water delivery. I have called 4 times and had to wait on hold all 4 times for over an hour to speak to someone who has no idea about anything. No one can tell me why we haven't received a delivery or when we will ever receive one again. I have been told each time that my complaint has been escalated and that a manager will get back to me within 24-48 hours. 3 times in 10 days I have been told this, and not once has anyone gotten back to me. Literally the worst company I've ever done business with. Deliveries were never reliable and spotty at best. Funny bill always arrives but service doesn't. Since June 2021 we've been trying to cancel service. Customer service says........but it never happens. Been sitting outside for months and months. It's February 1 2022 and customer service says that have sent escalated emails to Santa Rosa branch manager. In my option he is collecting a paycheck for nothing. While I understand the company has a staffing issue, I have called a few times inquiring about my home delivery. First time the lady just said yeah we're not delivering on your route as we have staffing issues. And that was pretty much the end of the call. Called again 2 days before next delivery. Great - I went online and set up auto pay like i do with all my bills. Well they opened up 2 accounts - without my knowledge - Coffee and Water - The Coffee account went severely passed due , Several Hundred dollars in 3 mo time - and we only had 2 bottles of Water and a few coffees? Come to find out they were charging my mystery account $100 per month Keurig Rental - Wait cant you buy a Keurig for around $100 - Plus that was not what the deal was supposed to be --- Several Hours on the Phone was able to get the accounts merged - but the Credits they said they would apply never posted !!!! and They threatedned to take me to collections -- Worst mistake - Complete Nightmare !! Add my name to the list of people that are unhappy with Alhambra Water. I want to make sure and state that the water is good. I believe the biggest problem is with management. I made my initial purchase through Costco in 2016. After a few years of use the water dispenser started fouling the water. In late 2018 I called Customer Service and told them what was happening. I was told that the dispensers needed to be replaced every few years. I guess the way you find out is when you begin to taste foul water. A replacement dispenser was ordered. The delivery kept getting delayed and delayed and delayed. I was told Alhambra was having trouble getting them from their vendor. Why should that be a customer's problem? I waited over a month for my dispenser to be replaced. Many times when I was promised delivery, I waited, but no one showed up. The replacement dispenser lasted about two days. I woke up to a small lake in my kitchen. I called and ordered a replacement. This one took about two weeks. Again, I had waited several days when I was promised delivery, but no one showed up. It was defective right off the bat. It makes a loud grinding sound when it dispenses water. So...I called for another replacement about a month ago. I'm still waiting. Once again I've been told there is a shortage of water dispensers. Seems to me Alhambra needs to find another vendor - one that makes dispensers that work and can ship them. Again, I want to emphasize that I waited several times for promised deliveries and no one showed up. I wasn't even given the courtesy of a phone call. I wasted days of my time. Customer service has been friendly and have done what they could to help. I can't blame them for anything. They are on the front lines. However, I do want to put the blame where it needs to be...on management. The Branch Manager and Regional Manager are the ones that aren't handling escalated cases very well. Alhambra has neglected to make two recent water deliveries to our business yard. Our are employees depend on water as they perform heavy work in the hot sun. I have had the hot and cold water dispenser from Costco for about four years now. I recently had a back procedure which will prevent me from moving anything heavy, including the 5 gallon bottles, for up to a year. I had intended to stop the service until I was healed and then resume it. After speaking to Gladys in account retention, I am going to finish the four full bottles I have and then cancel the service permanently.I explained the situation, told her I lived alone, I told her I had no friends or family to transfer the service to, as she suggested. I explained that due to a medical procedure I could not lift anything heavy for up to a year. Including the four full bottles that I had. She explained that although the bottles were two weeks old she could not give me credit for them as they would have to be disposed of. I clarified: we're in an excessive drought and you're going to pour 20 gallons of water down the drain; she stated yes. I stated that was just not a responsible policy. On 7/19/2019 I placed an order and was sent an email saying my estimated deliver was 7/29/2019. I emailed to confirm and ask a question, never received a response. On Monday 7/29/19 the day of delivery i called the customer service phone number around 11AM and spoke with a rep. they said the driver will be delivering today and not to worry. Mind you since they do not give you a time frame my wife had to stay home all day to await delivery. 3pm rolls around still nothing. I call for the 2nd time and the customer service rep said they called the driver and they will be there today. 4:50pm rolls around and still nothing so I called the customer service number for the 3rd time the rep said the driver went home for the day. I was as polite as can be since it's not the rep. fault however I said no one notified me she said she will have a manager call me back today and have the delivery placed on the schedule for tomorrow and she said she still can not give me a time frame. 7/30/2019 10am no call, so i called the number they said deliver would be Wednesday 7/31/2019 not 7/30/2019 and that they will have a manager call me back. Still no call back so I called again 4pm and requested to speak to a manager and explained my frustration they said they will have a manager call me back i said i wanted to sprak to one now they said they would have to email them with my # to call me back. We have some Wonderful Delivery People! These gentlemen always courteously knock or ring our bell, ask how many bottles. The bottles are then unloaded and brought to the door, always with the offer of help to bring them in the House. The cooler unit works great, and having piping hot water for tea and cooking is a dream. We have undrinkable water, so Alhambra makes drinking fresh, clean water a Treat again! read more

Called them again 12 days ago for pick up of equipment/water and they said a route manager would call me back...no call. I called them again 8 days ago and was told a branch manager would give me a call...not surprised, no call from anyone!!! During the last call, a rep NOW tells me that my equipment will not get picked up until after I make the final payment. They're making up the rules as they go along. When I closed my account, the account person never mentioned this nor has all the other reps I've talked to since this whole ordeal. Our dispenser started squirting water all over, an equipment failure, left unrepaired and postponed for three weeks. I'm not going to take it anymore.
