Small cafe/bar near the Santa Justa train station. There's only 5 tables inside but they have twice as many outside on the patio (however it was too cold on this particular evening for outdoor seating). They have a "specials" menu with 5 items as well as a list of tapas offerings (unfortunately only the specials menu was in English, so we ordered off of it).
We had the "Special House's Plate" which was pork loin, tomato, egg, bell pepper and bacon and also came with an order of fries. The pork was dry and overcooked but the runny egg yolk helped with this and the charred pepper was delicious. The fries were crispy but needed a lot of salt to give them any flavor. Overall a decent hole-in-the-wall spot for the cost - it certainly looked better than most of the places we saw in the train station. read more
