Super fun place for my 5 year old, he requests to go to this park specifically :) There are also tennis courts attached so bring your racquets. Parking is designated on the side, and free of course which is great. There's also a wooden seat around a big tree and a gazebo for parents to relax. Wonderful park! Take your kiddos!

It is already shaded by big trees but they also have large canvas shades for added coverage. The equipment said ages 5-12 but there was only one part that was too advanced for her (climbing). They have benches throughout the small area and some really pretty flowers. After playing at the playground for a little bit, we walked across the street to Hampton Park and walked around for a little bit. Parking was free on the street in front of the park. Will definitely be back when nearby. If you get hungry when you leave, hit up Rutledge Cab Co., it's not far from here and they have their own lot (that's what we did).

I have been trying to go on a walk every day. Most days, I just walk around his neighborhood. However, I was excited when I heard the parks reopened. I made a venture to Gahagan Park the first time almost on accident. I needed somewhere to go to get signal, as I don't get good phone service in Lincolnville. So I went to Gahagan Park for the phone signal, but after my virtual appointment, I decided to walk around this park. I found a track wrapping around a football field. I headed towards this because I assumed this would be the best place for walking. I passed a few baseball fields on my way. When I got to the track and started to walk around, I noticed that part of the track veers off. I followed this path to see where it lead. It went by some more baseball fields. It also lead to some public bathrooms and a picnic area. At the end of this walking trail, there is a graveyard. It is fenced in, and I couldn't get in. This is the point where I turn around, as the park ends and the walking path turns into a road. I like coming to Gahagan Park for my daily walks. I have a friend who plays ultimate frisbee here! This is a cool, fun, and relatively safe place to hang out. I definitely recommend checking it out!

There were kids there from the camp being held at the rec center next door, but they were very polite. There are three playground sets, two adult swings, two baby swings, a basketball hoop, large field area, hopscotch and rocking horses. The equipment was hot since there isn't a whole lot of shade, but it didn't stop my kid from going down the slide six hundred times. There were quite a few ant hills around the "wall" of each jungle gym set, so be cautious. I got bit a couple times. I didn't really see any bugs in the mulch. I'll probably come back here with my daughter sometime since it's not too far away.

This park is located in a neighborhood. I wasn't too sure when I first turned in, but it was an okay spot. (Kinda felt like I was intruding with the people across the way eyeballing us). There are 3 different playground sets that will work for a variety of ages. They also have some metal "rocking" horses, swings and a nice big grassy area for running around. There are trees, but not enough to shade the equipment. Unfortunately, no toilets. Absolutely no kids anywhere to be seen, not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Overall it was just okay. It's not worth going out of your way for, but if you live nearby I think it's a good hidden spot.

It also looked like some terrible person decided to brush their dog out at the playground because there were no less than a dozen clumps of long black dog hair mixed with bark littered all over the playground. I like that there is fitness and exercise equipment and stations throughout the park and even has an outdoor stairstepper machine which I have never seen in a park before. I like that there is a basketball court here too which is nicely maintained and painted. This park seems to have it all and it never seems to be too crowded which is nice if you want some fresh air and peace. Overall this is ab awesome park.
