My son and husband got lucky and didn't have to wait for a half court to play one on one. The other half of the court was being used by a quad skater. My toddler enjoyed this playground. It is already shaded by big trees but they also have large canvas shades for added coverage. The equipment said ages 5-12 but there was only one part that was too advanced for her (climbing). They have benches throughout the small area and some really pretty flowers. After playing at the playground for a little bit, we walked across the street to Hampton Park and walked around for a little bit. Parking was free on the street in front of the park. Will definitely be back when nearby. If you get hungry when you leave, hit up Rutledge Cab Co., it's not far from here and they have their own lot (that's what we did).

My daughter in law and I took the children to Saul's Park and "bam!", before we knew it he was using his right arm, climbing, swinging and playing the steel drums on the decorative, bright colored "flowers"! This park has a lot of cool flowers and plants and is a nature and garden place that is fun to smell, enjoy, and be around. I was able to find a few surprises at this park and had a really fun experience here as there is much that this park has to offer. I am happy that there is so many cool parks in Charleston and this is one of my new favorites that I look forward to being able to come back in the future and enjoy some more.

Super fun place for my 5 year old, he requests to go to this park specifically :) There are also tennis courts attached so bring your racquets. There were kids there from the camp being held at the rec center next door, but they were very polite. There are three playground sets, two adult swings, two baby swings, a basketball hoop, large field area, hopscotch and rocking horses. The equipment was hot since there isn't a whole lot of shade, but it didn't stop my kid from going down the slide six hundred times. There were quite a few ant hills around the "wall" of each jungle gym set, so be cautious. I got bit a couple times. I didn't really see any bugs in the mulch. I'll probably come back here with my daughter sometime since it's not too far away.

This park is located in a neighborhood. I wasn't too sure when I first turned in, but it was an okay spot. (Kinda felt like I was intruding with the people across the way eyeballing us). There are 3 different playground sets that will work for a variety of ages. They also have some metal "rocking" horses, swings and a nice big grassy area for running around. There are trees, but not enough to shade the equipment. Unfortunately, no toilets. Absolutely no kids anywhere to be seen, not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Overall it was just okay. It's not worth going out of your way for, but if you live nearby I think it's a good hidden spot.
