First, each said that as a new customer, I was a low priority and they would schedule me 2 or 3 weeks out. Give me a break. I hired a plumber from Glens Falls area who was here in a few days. I gladly paid travel costs because of the prompt service. In the end I thought the total bill might be high but I'm really not up to date on plumbing charges. No other equipment such as a shop vac or a safe way to handle the sewage water. No tarps to protect the rug, curtains, or furniture. In an effort to find the pipe opening, they removed 10 buckets of sewage water, carrying the sloshing filth through the room and hallway and dumped the stuff in the street. Someone called the police after stepping in feces. Sing never found the opening to the pipe. He charged $400 and departed. Later he came back to clean up the sewage he had thrown in the street. The next day a different plumber used a crowbar to find the opening to the pipe and inserted the snake. Once the clog was cleared, all the sewage water went down the pipe. He then used his shop vac to thoroughly clean the area.

I called him on a Saturday and left a voicemail not expecting a call back until Monday, but I was pleasantly surprised that he called me back just a few hours later and apologized that he didn't call back sooner. We were able to schedule an appointment for the next day, we texted some photos and the clear description of what the issue was, and he came with all the parts to fix the issue in a single visit. While he was not cheap, it would have saved money if we called him first instead of calling and paying the two other plumbers for their attempts. He's our first call going forward for any plumbing issues
