Soup Flight from left to right, Pazole Red, Albondigas, and Pazole Green
Cheryl K.

Came here on their 4 year anniversary, walked in to a Live DJ and friendly vibes. Our table tried the soup flight, Pazole Red, Pazole Green, and Albondigas. All were good. I'm a fan of Albondigas so I would order a bowl next time. The meatballs were so tender. The Crispy Chicken taco was very flavorful. Crispy Carne Asada Crispy taco was good too. The homemade tortillas were delicious! Looking forward to trying different items off the menu. Awesome service! Happy 4 year Anniversary!

Loved the Horchata and mango Fresca! I recommend their drinks as they were very sweet. Loved the carnitas but wish the beef had more flavor

Right when we walked through the door we were greeted with a huge smile from our waitress. Very clean and pleasant atmosphere. Many customers came by through out our visit. I understand why there are so many coming through. We ordered the soup fight (Menudo, caldo de Birria and another soup) All very delicious. My husband ordered the aguas chilies which has can be ordered with four different aguas . We ordered the mango habanero (alittle spicey, but worth it) my son had the fries w chicken. We all had a few drinks a mango margarita and I had the Michelada. DELICIOUS !!! Yes, I would come back this time with the rest of my family so They can try this beautiful delicious food. The bartenders, sweet and funny.

Ab Shrimp Taco, carnitas, asada, adobado

I was craving some street tacos, so I drove 30 minutes based on a friends recommendation. I tried the Asada, carnitas and adobada each were $3.75. I also had an AB Shrimp taco ($5) and it loaded. Just got done doing an hour of cardio so I ordered 2 more AB shrimp. Overall the street tacos were what I was craving, simple onions and cilantro with a squeeze of lime. The AB shrimp came with guacamole, onions, cilantro, radish and special sauce. I highly recommend the mango salsa for any shrimp or fish taco. Solid 4 stars!!!!

We went here on March 1st for dinner around 7:00 p.m. ish. It was a bit busy when we got there. There were at least six other table seated with at least four people on each table and as we got seated ourselves you could tell that the restaurant was preparing for a bigger party to come in because they were putting three tables together. It took a few minutes for them to give us menus as they were trying to again set up for the bigger party. The waitress that came to take our order was very polite and nice and did apologize for the wait. We asked some questions about the menu regarding some of the specials and ended up choosing to do some a la carte items and one plate. I will say I thought about getting a margarita and I wanted a specific tequila used. The waitress did explain to me that it would be an additional $5 for the single shot which means that the margarita would have been $17. I did choose not to get that after all. The items we chose were two tostadas one that was a seafood mix of fish and shrimp. The other one was a shrimp and mango tostada. The other item we got was a birria tacos plate. For all items they were good but not astounding. I say that because the mixed tostada was missing flavor. I could taste a hint of the citrus that was used but not enough and that was after I added the additional little pieces that were given to me. The mango shrimp Posada was definitely better because the mango sweetness did give it a nice taste and it did need a little bit more spice to it not spiciness but just flavor it felt like I could mainly taste mango. And this next statement applies to all three items. The addition of salt to all the different pieces was necessary in order to give it flavor that was cohesive. Especially in the consummate that was given to dip the birria tacos in. Once you added salt it definitely had more flavor. The reason this was a three and not a four is that the big call out was the rice was a little hard. I couldn't tell if it had been sitting out for a while or had been undercooked but definitely had a little bit of a bite to it that we did not expect. Also the beans had a unique flavor that we couldn't pinpoint. Both those sides were left on the plate and not really touched. Overall the place is definitely popular, are waitress was very nice and polite, and the food was generally okay but definitely needed more seasoning and we were a bit confused with the quality of the sides.

Amazing cilantro lime salsa, salsa verde, and Tapatio Crema salsas along with salt and Tapatio

Tons of parking behind the restaurant. Cute little entrance with garden walks but the bench is hard so be careful when you sit and are expecting the cushion to do something. There is a very long bar with 3 big screens playing your favorite sports. There's about 290 marble top tables inside. We were seated almost immediately on a Sunday afternoon. They serve wagon wheel shaped puffed floor chicharones with Tapatio. Here's what we ordered: Surf & Turf taco Plate - 9 - Taco was amazing as well as the ranch/refried beans but the rice was a little dry and meh. Crunchy chicken taco - 8 - Chicken was super flavorful but the burned tortilla flavor dominated the flavor profile I'd try this again as a street taco AB Shrimp Taco - 9 - A little spicier than the breaded shrimp taco but a touch too simple to be perfect (maybe add cabbage?) Quesa Birria Taco - 8 - Good meat flavor, could use cilantro and onions to add on. Once again the burnt tortilla flavor ruins the finish on this bite. Breaded Shrimp Taco - 10 - Light crunch, lots of cabbage and sauce make this a hit Mulita de Adobada - 10 - Boldlavor and crunchy got texture all in one!!! Great taco spot if you're in the area, worth the drive for the mulita, surf and turf as well as the breaded shrimp taco A definite keeper in my elite taco list!

We had such a great time here! This place is truly a hidden gem. The staff friendly, the music and environment great. These are the kind of locations I love stumbling upon. Ok ok let me be honest. My nephew recommended this place lol but I Sun consider this a stumble because this was such a random dinner date. I can't wait to come back here

Food: 5 mics Service: 5 mics Ambiance: 4:5 mics Food: Hands down the Wet Burrito is the best wet burrito I've had. The layered flavors packed up with a punch. First bite has you wanting more and more. Service: The service is phenomenal. Lots of Aloha her, from the server to Vince behind the bar and the chef! Always checking in making sure everything is good to go. Ambiance: Old school dark feels. Quiet vibe when we went at lunch. Clean and cool little gem. Make your way and you'll be back again and again.

Came here for the soup flight! It was worth it when you can't decide which soup to have. Love it how they serve the pinwheels instead of chips and salsa. There were several soups to pick from. Got the menudo, albondigas, and red pozole.

If you like soup definitely come out here to sample all their offerings. Let me break down everything we sampled and how it all faired. Saw this on a feed on IG and since I got some family that lives out here I figured sure why not drive out 2hrs to sample this spot. All I can say is that this spot is legit. Upon sitting down you get a quick snack of deep fried circle looking chips, hella oily but also good Daughter ordered quesadilla with side of fries all she stated was it was cheesy ( that means she like it ) Son ordered 3 different tacos Asada - safe and delicious choice Birria - heavy and flavorful Their version of al pastor - extra flavorful, extra delicious Wife sampled the soup flight 3 soups Al bondigas - meatball soup - flavorful, almost as good as her moms??? Carne en jugo - steak soup meant to get you better from a cold, heavy soup as in thick soup Lentejas - lentil soup - light be very flavorful Myself also the flight of soups Menudo - hella tripe in this soup, to me it was perfect get this if you like tripe Pollo verde - flavorful but not my favorite Carne en jugo - the soup base again was really heavy, chunks of steak and a slight kick Fish taco - well worth ordering, crunch on every bite, all veggies super fresh order this Side of guac and chips - i think we should have not ordered this cause everything super filling Horchata - standard pipping cold Cucumber lemonade - refreshing and made just right Michelada - large of course with modelo especiale, refreshing and filling Definitely come here to sample their soups and all their other offerings Food ***** everything sampled was delicious Price $$ Ambiance ***** large establishment, clean, decorative Service ***** helpful, friendly

Where do I start for Algo Bueno?? This place is amazing. First you walk in and the decor is awesome and atmosphere is lively, there's lots of seating as well. The staff was very very welcoming, nice, and super helpful! They have a few TV screens inside and one of them was showing a very well produced promo video for all that the restaurant offers - that was really cool to see! So my husband asked for a mezcal and like pineapple juice or something and they amused him by making him one - he loved it. The rest of us ordered drinks and they were so good! We honestly went there because I saw on Instagram they offer SOUP FLIGHTS, yes flights of soup! I love soup. My mother-in-law was visiting from rural North Carolina (a CA native) and all she wanted was pazole, Algo Bueno delivered! Like seriously she came to visit and this was her only request. We'll be back for sure!

Algo Bueno is hands down one of the best spots in Sacramento area! The food is authentic, fresh, and absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality--from the perfectly melted cheese to the fresh ingredients in every bite. Everything we tried was packed with flavor and clearly made with love. It's that kind of place you try once and immediately start planning your next visit. Service is great , and ambiance transported me in Mexico! If you're in Sacramento and craving something real and yummy, this is the spot. Can't wait to come back!

This is the entrance to the speakeasy. In prior years the club was open only to members but it is now open to the public. Ambiance: I visited post New Years so they still had some holiday decorations up but really enjoyed the upper class feel. It really doesn't feel like any of the speakeasies I have been to before as it was much brighter and more open space but enjoyed it nonetheless. Food/Drinks: I strictly stayed with Espresso Martinis but they were prepared pretty well. The flatbreads also tasted amazing! They also had a list of different holiday themed drinks for those inclined for some holiday cheer. Service: The service here was super quick. The server came to our table so we did not have to head over to the bar. They came a couple of times to check on us but were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the drink options! We also all tried the shooters, I had the Nesbitt, and he got the Perry. Every drink was delicious, no complaints from any of us. The lady helping us with our order was super sweet, patient, and friendly, and the guy who seated us deserves a shoutout too. There was a small mix-up, but he made it right and got us that perfect fireplace seating. Gold star service. Overall, I'd rate the experience a solid 9 out of 10. And can we talk about the bathroom for a sec? A black toilet paired with deep green walls? Obsessed. Trophy Club is absolutely becoming one of my favorite spots. Now I just need to check it out when it's not in theme mode... but let's be honest, I live for the theme nights.

They have a great selection of gin, rum, champagne, and whiskey, and I often lean on the staff for drink suggestions because they're really good at recommending something you might not normally order. A few times now they've pointed me toward a drink that ended up being a hidden gem. I've been here a few times and it's always a great time whether you're catching up with friends or doing a date night. The food is also surprisingly good and pairs well with the cocktails. It is definitely on the pricier side, but that's part of the experience. Also, because the space is small and intimate, reservations fill up quickly and they do require a deposit, which goes toward your final bill. Helpful tip: make a reservation ahead of time and don't be afraid to ask the staff for drink recommendations -- they're excellent at guiding you to something special. Final verdict: absolutely worth it.

Next up, 30 second sugar scrub and then a hot towel. Fresh polish and no lotion massage at all. Also, tech doesn't clean under the nails either. The service and food quality have always been excellent. They have a huge menu, a friendly staff, and a relaxed atmosphere that feels a step above a typical taqueria or fast casual spot, with solid table service to match. It's about time I gave them the credit they deserve because their food is consistently great. Historically, I've loved their enchilada plate, especially the mole enchilada. It's one of my favorites. Today, with the sun out, I was in more of a mariscos mood, so I ordered the shrimp ceviche and the fried tilapia plate. The ceviche is very bright and fresh, with mango mixed in, which adds a really nice layer of flavor to the traditional combination. It comes with freshly fried tostadas that are crisp and flavorful. I'm not personally a fan of the white crackers on the side, but they also bring complimentary chips and salsa, so once the tostadas run out you can use the tortilla chips instead, which works just fine. The tilapia was excellent. It's hard to go wrong with a well fried tilapia, and they do it right. The guacamole and pico on the side are great for building tacos, and the beans and rice are both perfect. You really can't go wrong coming here, especially with the variety they offer. Sitting outside on the patio is nice, though this particular location can feel a bit sketchy at times since a few odd characters often cut through the parking. It's mostly fine, but if you're looking for a more relaxed patio vibe, the other location might be a better option. That said, this spot also has a comfortable indoor dining area.
