Dr. Venugopal is a warm, caring doctor who has treated me for stress, anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD and clinical depression. She refuses to call in scripts and makes me call my pharmacy and make the pharmacist call in ALL requests to the doctor. I've never dealt with an office who won't give the doctor a script request. I find the receptionist lazy and very inefficient. Often, I have to keep calling the office and asking if the refill was called in. I've been told by the receptionist that she will NOT contact me when the script is called into the pharmacy, and I can just "keep calling your pharmacy until it gets there." HUH??!! When I tried to explain to the receptionist that this is a very inefficient way to know when I can pickup my daughter's meds, she replied, "it's the only way, because I don't know when or IF scripts are refilled." Then, "sleepy sounding receptionist" hangs up, and I spend the next 5+ hours trying to guess when to pickup my daughter's meds, and if they've even been called in at all. The receptionist also blames ME when she never returns my calls. When I finally get upset because I can't get the office to call me back, the receptionist says, "I left you a message. You must not have gotten it." This excuse worked the first and second times, but by the 3rd time, it's just annoying. Even when I explain that I don't have any missed calls from the office and NO messages, the receptionist than blames my phone and says "something must've happened." Huh??! No, nothing "happened" other than I can't seem to get returned calls from this office. Today, after waiting for 2 days for a return call, I was told "sorry, the doctor already left for the day, so you will need to wait another day before she can call in medicine for your daughter." So, tomorrow will be DAY THREE that we wait, when this should really take 5 minutes. It might be time to search for other options in St. Charles. As I mentioned, Dr. Venugopal is a great doctor, but if you want to see her, be prepared to fight with her receptionist to get refills, appointments or returned calls (and be prepared to be blamed too). I've had experience with other psychiatrists' offices with my daughter (in different places we've lived), and this office is definitely one of the worst to deal with (because of the staff).

One day I was in Panera Bread in Schaumburg and saw a flyer on the wall with an advertisement for a…read morebook called "Stop the Thyroid Madness". Since I had a growth in my thyroid, I was intrigued. It was very Susan Pewter "Stop the Insanity"! I thought it was humorous, but also hit a chord with my beliefs to find "nontraditional" ways to treat illness. It summarized the book, which was about treating the thyroid in an unconventional way -with natural supplements and herbs instead of drugs so commonly used. On the back, it showcased Dr. Fred Schultz, M.D, who practices an integrative approach to healing -using "traditional" methods as well as herbal supplementation, nutritional recommendations and a "healthy living" approach. He has successfully treated a variety of patients with multiple sclerosis, cancer and chronic fatigue syndrome to name a few. I took the flyer off the wall and kept it for reference, planning one day to visit. As I continued on my mission to heal myself from several serious issues, I found it was the right time to pay a visit. Even though Dr. Schultz is booked 3 months out, I was put on the waiting list and got a call a few days later. It was fate! It was a 6pm appointment so I would be able to go after work. He is located in Wheaton in a very nice professional building, right off Roosevelt Rd. My appointment was approximately an hour and a half! Dr. Schultz spent the time necessary with me to go over all my records and discuss, in detail, what my symptoms were. We put together a plan and I will go for a follow up in several weeks. What I liked most is that his approach is to find the root cause of why I'm having so many issues. It is easy to say, "You have 'xyz', here are some drugs." He actually pointed out things in my records that no one had addressed. I was actually embarrassed I had not seen those red flags myself. I learned it is important to be an advocate for your own health and READ your own records! I am very grateful for the experience and am excited to update this review with good news to a speedy recovery!

Her family had taken her all over the Chicagoland area...the next step would have been Mayo Clinic. No one was able to diagnose her correctly much less treat her and to the point of complete recovery. She was fourteen then and this May of 2017 she graduates from college. After that, he straightened out her thyroid problems. Since then, both her mother and I have been treated for Lyme disease and thyroid issues. Her mother also has other issues having to do with sclerotic inner tissues. He's the best and so are his staff. In my case, I travel a considerable distance for his services. Now my GP asks me when he wants me to run something by Dr. Schultz.... not because my GP is incompetent, but because he, too, has come to have great respect for the diagnostic skills of Dr. Schultz.

Well, it pumps up with air and then you release the air with a button to take it off. It was too confusing for her to use it so she just stopped! I took her in for a follow up appointment and told Dr. Peterson that this boot was too difficult for her to use. He said he would give her an ankle brace so she could still wear her shoe. Dr Peterson did a thorough exam and we felt like he listened to our concerns. We then we're handed off to an assistant who fitted an ankle brace on mom. It had shoelace ties that you didn't have to tie (thank goodness) and multiple Velcro straps that wrap around under your arch snd back to the ankle area. Ok, we'll give this one a try. By the next day it was clear that this ankle brace was too difficult for mom to put on herself as well. I ended up going to a medical supply pharmacy and buying one off the shelf that is a little easier for mom to manage. At least she will wear the over the counter model, which is better than not wearing one at all. We have a follow up appointment in a couple of weeks so hopefully the ligaments around her ankle have had time to heal. Overall we had a good experience at Suburban Orthopedics.

The practice has a 15 minute grace period yet I still called to tell them I was 5-10 minutes behind. They said that was fine. Then as I was already on my way, they called me to tell me to reschedule. I had broken my toe since my last appointment and my visit was probably going to take longer than expected. Would I have been thrown out if I had taken the extra time? It's hard to imagine that quality care can be given if they are counting the minutes that way. I understand the need to be on time. However as a long time patient, I would think that some grace can be given. Also, why have a policy at all if the practice doesn't abide by it ?! Extremely angry and annoyed.

The billing practice here is to contact you shortly before an appointment and tell you that there's a balance due, and you need to pay it before your appointment. It was enforced in an overzealous way that was difficult to not take personally. I was recently contacted about a balance and I gave them my husband's contact information. They refused to contact him and called and emailed me again until we spoke with the doctor.
