My husband went here for a knee surgery and that went fine but they really push a lot of PT and lie about how much they charge per session. He had gone in to pay the bill in person and their system was in the middle of being updated to a new system so he made a payment and left, when he tried to call and make a payment it didn't work due to the "new system" - ok fine. Then within 8 days of making a payment he got sent to collections which we paid off in full once we got that call. How insane that we attempted twice to pay within the same two weeks, given the run around about the system, then get sent to collections within days of making a large payment. Their prices seem extremely high compared to other practices. My husband did like the doctor so he decided to go back for another knee consultation where they told him he needed more PT, told him the price per session based on his insurance would be $15 per session. We got an $1500 bill with the PT sessions being anywhere from $68 to $135. They lie. Will never give them any business again. Avoid. read more

Be very careful. I received a random phone call weeks after applying for a position there. I went to the interview, and they expected a person to travel to 5 different locations. I said I am able to do most of the 5, just not Elgin since its far for me. Her face changed. Absolutely disgusted. That is how you lose a good, hard worker. Not a lot of people in today's era will be even willing to travel to all the locations for your demands. Be respectful of hard working people. No where in the application itself did it say "MUST travel to ALL 5 locations". And very unprofessional to not even email a rejection in today's era. It left such a bad, unprofessional taste in my mouth as a hard worker. That is truly how the company loses good dedicated hard working people. read more

This place is unethical as is their billing for Dr visits when patients only see PA's. The Drs don't actually care. They don't do any virtual visits cause they can't make you wait two hours on the phone like they do in the office or use their PA to fill in for their appointments instead. My elderly mom (age 85 with early Alzheimer's) rolled her ankle a few weeks ago. I took her to the emergency care and she was given a boot to wear. Well, it pumps up with air and then you release the air with a button to take it off. It was too confusing for her to use it so she just stopped! I took her in for a follow up appointment and told Dr. Peterson that this boot was too difficult for her to use. He said he would give her an ankle brace so she could still wear her shoe. Dr Peterson did a thorough exam and we felt like he listened to our concerns. We then we're handed off to an assistant who fitted an ankle brace on mom. It had shoelace ties that you didn't have to tie (thank goodness) and multiple Velcro straps that wrap around under your arch snd back to the ankle area. Ok, we'll give this one a try. By the next day it was clear that this ankle brace was too difficult for mom to put on herself as well. I ended up going to a medical supply pharmacy and buying one off the shelf that is a little easier for mom to manage. At least she will wear the over the counter model, which is better than not wearing one at all. We have a follow up appointment in a couple of weeks so hopefully the ligaments around her ankle have had time to heal. Overall we had a good experience at Suburban Orthopedics. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Freedburg for nearly 20 years. Upon reflection I wanted to post a review. I have never had a doctor who included you in the full process of treatment and recovery by way of full disclosure, explanation and choice. Even if he didn't fully agree with my choice, he always made it work. I never felt pressured or made to feel guilty. I trust him implicitly, as do other family members who continue to see him as well. So far, I have had 2 complete knee replacements and I move better now than in my 20's. I would give zero stars if possible. I saw Dr. Chhadia for excruciating pain in my left hip from a dance injury. Showed him an MRI showing I had bursitis. He said I did not have arthritis, which of course, I did not have. He told me to see a general practitioner and made me leave with no relief of my suffering. He has no compassion. I went to a sports medicine doctor who gave me the shot immediately upon seeing the MRI results. I got the medical record from Chhadia and all sorts of things were wrong. He wrote it was my right hip and that I should see a PT and have a follow up visit. What a joke. read more

I went to Dr. Freedberg at Suburban Orthopedics for several months for a frozen shoulder. Dr. Freedberg was very confident, knowledgeable, professional and personable. He's got a great bedside manner. After he examined me, he explained the issue in easy to understand terms and recommended physical therapy. I took PT for several months at the same facility and found the PT environment to be professional and easy going. It's a great positive, we'll get through this place and I can't think of a better place to go for PT. Dr. Freedberg and the PT team got me through the worst of my frozen shoulder and I wouldn't hesitate a second about recommending him and his staff. read more

Dr Peterson did not fully inform me of the risks of cortisone injections. Second experience, the procedure was not complete. I asked for follow up. I was informed that I would have to again pay for another encounter. Nice enough personality but there are more qualified doctors out there. read more

My mom came here and it was clear from the onset that this was not a good practice. The doctors rush through incomplete appointments, the quality of care is inconsistent and the lack of manners by staff and the doctors is shameful. The only thing they do on time is bill you, which is rarely accurate. Its really unconscionable to operate this way with people that come to you for help. I wish we had read the reviews before we came here, it would have saved a lot of time and money. I can see that our experience was hardly unique. A few months back, I went to Suburban to have some x-rays done on a certain area of my back which had been giving me on and off pain for a long time. I was then scheduled to see Dr. Novoseletsky for him to go over my results and for a general consult. At the start of my consult, Dr. Novoseletsky walked in the room and did not even introduce himself, smile, say hello, ask how I was doing, or any of the usual customary intro stuff (especially for a new patient). I said "hello" and in just a monotone voice he said, "what can I do for you today?" The tone had no personality or care, and almost seemed as if I was some solicitor who rang his doorbell and interrupted a family dinner. Is he not a medical specialist who sees and speaks to patients for a living? I was taken aback by this. I thought to myself, "um - perhaps you tell me, you're the doctor and I am supposed to see you to go over my results of the xrays?" I didn't say that, but simply said that I was scheduled an appointment to go over my xray results and get some advice. To this, he then replied verbatim, "Well what would you like me to do...do you want to get surgery?" Again, I was floored and tried to even make sense of this reply. Dr. Novoseletsky then went over my xrays and more or less recommended I get some injections at some other office location "in Lagrange." The response almost seemed run-of-the-mill, and he didn't even explain to me what I had or if my condition had any medical name, but truth be told I was so unimpressed by his monotone personality and lack of bedside manner that it did not inhibit me wanting to sit around and try to engage in conversation any longer than I had to. I got a second opinion at another doctor out of Delnor who was 180 degrees opposite (giving me a bit more evidence that most of my back issues were due in part to my fibromyalgia) than the experience I had here with both personality and results. Many of the other doctors here have much better reviews and I would probably recommend seeing them before I would recommend Dr. Novoseletsky. read more

I've been here three times and every time I have arrived early but waited collectively over two hours. I'm actually writing this review in the back room waiting for 46 minutes now and still no doctor. Today there were two people total in the waiting room as I arrived at 2:22 for my 2:30 appointment. It's now 3:17 and still no doctor. My time is just as valuable as the doctors here. I don't believe they see it from my point of view. Unacceptable and poor service. I even asked the lady politely at the front desk at 2:55 when I should expect to see someone. She told me at 2:58 it'll be soon. It's now 3:21. 51 minutes past my scheduled appointment. Dr. Freed berg is the worst, most arrogant doctor I've met to date. I came in for a shoulder tear (already had an mri showing the tear). He blew off every question I asked saying "it's not his wheel house". Then orders an unnecessary MRI of my neck which showed nothing. His PA is nicer, but I left feeling frustrated with zero answers. His entire staff said his bedside manner is terrible, and a completely different doctors office who new of him said he is rude. He must be known in the industry for being pompous. He may be a good surgeon, but he is atrocious at communicating and makes you feel like a piece of crap. I would much rather drive further and see someone who cares, and wants to actually help people. His staff was nice and helpful, but he is the worst ever. I will never step foot in here again. read more

I was suffering from a bone spur for 2 months, I tried every home remedy I could. I finally gave in and went to see Dr. Peterson. First I saw his PA Lena who was amazing! Then Dr. Peterson, who was just as great. They were very helpful and didn't waste any time with a remedy since I had already exhausted the options. One more visit back 3 weeks later, this time only Lena was there, she was awesome! Both times I was seen right away, very professional front office, and LOVED both doctors. Would highly recommend Dr. Peterson and his PA Lena. Thanks to them I can walk pain free again. read more

I saw Dr. Ankur Chhadia in Dec. of 2014 for a torn meniscus in my right knee. He told me I needed to have my knee scoped to take care of the meniscus. I had it scoped on Jan of 2015 and when Dr. Ankur Chhadia scoped my right knee after he told me he found a lot of arthritis on my knee and they scraped off as much as he could. A normal scope for a torn meniscus I should have been able to walk with no pain. Since I continued to complain about my pain after the repair of the meniscus from Jan to April while going through 2 days a week of PT at Suburban Orthopedics Dr. Ankur Chhadia finally took an X-Ray of my right knee only to find that now my right knee joint was bone on bone. How did my knee go from not being bone on bone to being bone on bone in a matter of 3 months? I believe Dr. Ankur Chhadia scraped away too much on my knee joint when he scoped and repaired my meniscus and when he did that, he must have stripped some of my cartilage away for me to be bone on bone so quick after a meniscus repair. At that time in April of 2015 Dr. Ankur Chhadia told me that now there was no other alternative but to have a full knee replacement. So, I had no other choice but to have the full knee replacement done with all the pain I was experiencing. Dr. Ankur Chhadia came recommended to me by my Primary Care Doctor that I had been going to for almost 20 years. Therefore, I trusted Dr. Ankur Chhadia being he came very highly recommended to me by my longtime Primary Care doctor. Now comes May of 2015 and Dr. Ankur Chhadia now gets me to agree to have a full right knee replacement. So, I scheduled the right full knee replacement with Dr. Ankur Chhadia and while in the Operating Room I was given a twilight for anesthesia and I happen to wake up with my eyes closed during surgery hearing pounding. Just like someone pounding a hammer on a tabletop. When I woke up during the surgery I was trying to figure out where I was and still with my eyes closed, I realized that I was on the operating table having my right knee replaced. I still kept hearing this pounding noise and then since I was still awake with my eyes closed. I then once opened my eyes only to see the blue sheet operating covering in front of me and I could not see past my collar area. Before anyone realized that I was awake I continued to hear this pounding noise and then I hear Dr. Ankur Chhadia said to the staff in the O. R. that I know he will not like this. This is not going to be a good fit or good for him. Just at that time I think the anesthesiologist realized I was awake they immediately gave me more sleeping medicine and I was then back to a sleep and the next thing I remember I woke up in the recovery room. I went through 4 months of physical therapy at Suburban Physical Therapy center in Bartlett and still with pain in my knee I was finally released with hopes my knee would get better. When PT released me, I saw Dr. Ankur Chhadia and he said good luck we will give you a call after 1 year to recheck your knee. One year goes by and I am still having a lot of pain and still trying to do my job requiring me to walk large department stores and go up on roofs and climb roof ladders. I was having a lot of problems and walking with a walking cane yet. Finally, after not hearing from Dr. Ankur Chhadia's office after they by past my one year recheck on my knee surgery called Dr. Ankur Chhadia's Office and I made an appointment to see him. He took X-Rays and he told me he does not see anything but he understands that I have a lot of pain. Additionally, I could not squat on my legs with my right knee because it was so wobbly and very tight after probably 16 moths out from the replacement surgery. Dr. Ankur Chhadia recommended that I see another doctor in his practice who was a pain Dr. Dr Novaslesky. So, I did. Dr Novaslesky recommended that I have a temporary set of shots in my right knee that deadens the 3 nerves in the right knee temporarily for a week. He said that if that would work, he could do a surgical procedure under anesthesia to deadened the 3 nerves in the knee permanently. So, I had the temporary shots done and it deadened the pain in my knee for 2 days during that week and the rest of that week I had pain. Dr Novelesque then said since it worked or even 2 days the permanent shots would work and deaden the pain in my knee and that should take care of that. So, I had the permanent shots done and after a month I was still having pain in my right knee that was very uncomfortable and a lot of clicking and wobbling in my knee which was right from the get go after I had the full knee replacement done with Dr. Ankur Chhadia. So, after a month I go back to see Dr Novaslesky and he tells me there is only one other thing he thinks they can try was to send me to another doctor in their practice who would cut my back open and implant a stimulator devise in my back where they cut a small piece of my spine out and implant his devise to mask the pain. read more

Both are extremely competent doctors that I have trusted to repair my knee, shoulder, and most recently my little finger. yes, my pinky. Let me tell you; I brought my finger to Dr. Freedberg after I had seen another surgeon, because my finger had become more damaged and developed a serious infection, and these guys saved my finger! Now that's healthcare. My results are why my wife also trusts in Dr. Freedberg and Dr. Tony with her shoulder injury. I recommend this practice. read more

This was the first and only time I saw Dr Freedberg. Waited over an hour past my appointment time. When he entered the room he did not introduce himself to me or my wife. He manipulated my knee for few seconds. Did not gave me chance to ask any questions, did not make an eye contact. Horrible bedside manner. I had my shoulder repaired in july,and it is still bothering me. My wife had total shoulder replacement 2 years ago. It is still bothering her. now I have to deal with the billing dept. My insurance has paid for everything, except a bill for $1500.00 for a sling. They were supposed to get it ok ed before surgery but they did not. My insurance told me to tell them what to do but they haven't done it. $1500.00 for a sling it was not made of gold. I would think twice about using suburban ortho. joe K read more

The physical therapy team were helpful and polite. However, their costs are extremely high on a per visit basis. They also charge you for a full amount even if they didn't spend the entire time with you. I don't feel like this place is a good value for what I got out of it. Saw Dr. Novoseletsky for neck pain. After the MRI he was very short with his answers and had no bedside manners. I left the office without a full understanding of my condition and the treatment options. Then in his written report he made everything sound great, like he had fully explained everything to me and I had no additional questions. Horrible doctor. Go elsewhere. read more

I love Suburban Orthopedics. I have had surgeries from 2 of the surgeons there. However I was extremely disappointed with there pain doctor. Dr. Novosoletski has no compassion after I was referred to him by one of there surgeons. He was judgemental of me and treated me like I was a drug addict. I was 8 days post op of torn ligaments and tendons in my ankle. He wrote me prescriptions for my horrific pain like I was a child. I will cancel my next appointment and go to a different pain doctor. My opinion of him is he should not be working at Suburban Orthopedics. read more

I would give no stars if possible. My son broke his arm in two places, an uncomplicated break, we were told. Our pediatrician referred us to Suburban Orthopedics and were were supposed to see Dr. Chhadia, unfortunately that is not who entered the room to cast my 5 year old son. Instead, Dr. Freedberg is who we were seen by, something we regret deeply. There is much to complain about, and it's a little hard to even know where to start. His entire demeanor is off-putting. He is abrupt, uncaring and rude. He should NEVER treat pediatric patients, as has none of the compassion one would hope for when treating a young patient. Let's start with the casting. My 5 year old son is a bruiser. He is tough as nails and has always been that way. Therefore, when he complains about pain, we take him seriously. He is not jumpy or whiny by nature. After a sleepless night, because we were not able to keep him comfortable enough to rest while his arm remained un-casted, Dr. Freedberg entered the room. My son was terrified and in pain, Dr. Freedberg was unfeeling and never said a word of kindness or comfort. While they casted my son, he screamed in fear and pain, absolutely screamed at the top of his lungs. After the fiberglass was in place, Dr. Freedberg squeezed the cast to set it and I thought my son honestly might faint. All this was done with no pain management, no local anesthetic, nothing. I am not aware of the options that we may have had, if any, for pain management, because they were never discussed with us. My son's pain was entirely ignored and in fact, at one point during the casting, Dr. Freedberg actually looked down at my son and with the most disdain he could muster, said to him, "You are not helping yourself with all that screaming." It took everything to stay focused on consoling my son and setting a good example when I wanted to give the doctor a piece of my mind. Would it have been so hard to say something kind "I know this hurts buddy, I'm being as careful as I can and we are almost done." I mean, c'mon! How hard would it have been to say something like that?! Fast-forward to cast removal - Cast removal went well (Brandon was an absolute delight, thanks to him for being so sweet and kind during the actual removal process, he should give Dr. Freedberg lessons.) The entire time that my son was in a cast (only 4 weeks), I kept telling people that I wouldn't care if Dr. Freedberg was a jerk to us, as long as he did his job and healed my son. Even still, as Dr Freedberg entered the room, I was hoping that, under a different light (more sleep, less pain), he might appear to be different that he was on our first encounter. I was disappointed, as he is still rude. He glances a cursory glance at the new x-rays, squeezes my son's arm (which is crooked, by the way), my son yelps and jumps in pain, and then Dr. Freedberg declares "It doesn't hurt. I can tell by looking at the x-rays that it is healed." Um... again, my son does not self-report pain unless he is FEELING pain. I request that the doctor explain the x-rays to me, considering my son reported pain and has a crooked arm with no forearm suppination, and he, very condescendingly and curtly, gives me a half-assed response about the bones being healed and the crook being something that will go away with time. I am very uneasy but I am not a doctor, so we leave and I try to muster up some sort of trust in this man. After the shocked response at the appearance and function of my son's arm and also the quick removal from a cast that we got from several friends, family and finally, 2 physical therapists, we decided to get a second opinion. Our new doctor was dismayed at the fact that our son was already out of a cast after only 4 weeks (he said 6 weeks is typical for this type of break and his age, 8 weeks is cautious but often better, especially for a child like mine who is "rough and tumble"). In addition, he said that the new x-rays are definitely not what he would like to see. He said that the bones are only about 75% healed (hence the reason he should still be in a cast) and that one of the bones is healing more crooked than is preferred, which is causing the limited motility. While he agreed that the crooked bone may self-correct, he said it will take a watchful eye to make sure that we are seeing the kind of progress that we should and he was disappointed that we were even in this situation. I believe Dr. Freedberg did a bad job and as a result, my son is going to have limited mobility of his dominant arm for a good amount of time (potentially years) and *may* eventually require invasive surgery to fix the bone alignment, if it does not self-correct enough. :( read more

I took my son to see Dr. Freeburg yesterday. Our appointment was for 4:15pm. We arrived at 4:10pm with all our paperwork completed. I told them when I made the appointment that my son needed to have his right wrist, right hip and right ankle checked. He is a level 9 in gymnastics and each of these has been hurting him for a while. Every time he goes to practice he comes home saying they really hurt. They didn't call us to go into the room until 5:05pm. Then we sat in the room for another 10 minutes until the nurse came in. When she asked him what was wrong and he told her, she told us that they can only treat 2 injuries at a time. I asked why and she said it's their policy. Then she said which 2 things hurt him the most. He picked his hip and ankle, even though his wrist has been really hurting him too. Then after another 10 minutes, they took him back for x Ray's. After that it was another 10 minutes before a man came in and started asking us questions. I asked him about the wrist, but he also said it was their policy. Then a man in a suit came in the room and we found out he was the doctor. He looked at him for 5 minutes and gave us a prescription for anti inflammatory and also would not look at his wrist. What kind of place would not treat all the problems because it's their policy? They should have told me that was their policy when I made the appointment and I would have just gone some where else. We ended up leaving at 6pm! read more

I was charged by Dr. Chhadia office for a brace (they should have told me upfront about it), which was more expensive than the whole visit. Moreover, I was also charged for someone's else back brace, by a different doctor that I have never seen before. I called five times to schedule the appointment for the MRI. its been over a month and they seems to ignore my calls, sending me straight to the voicemail. Good luck with reaching anyone. I suffered through chronic pain for 7 years with a condition called, Ankylosing Spondilitis (AS). Besides the fact that there is inflammation throughout my entire body, my right hip and lower back were the most debilitating. There were mornings I could not get out of bed and nights when it took me a long time to fall asleep trying to mentally fight through the pain. Throughout the years, I have seen many professional doctors and specialist without getting the proper help or treatments I needed to feel better. I become depressed and after a while, lost all hope in feeling better again, until the day I walked into Suburban Orthopaedics and met with Dr. Dmitry Novoseletsky. Dr. Novoseletsky is well educated on my condition and immediately focused on my SI Joints, which can create severe painful discomfort issues due to the AS. I went through a series of Sacroilliac Joint injections and treatments. My pain subsided about 85% and I feel fantastic. The first injection gave me immediate relief that I cried happy tears all the way home. I was so overwhelmed, that after all these years I finally found a doctor who can offer a solution to my pain and give me my life back. I am now able to do all the things I never thought I was going to be able to do again. I am currently 37 years old and no longer feel like I'm 90 years old. I feel very blessed and grateful to God for guiding me to this treatment; and to such a good and professional doctor as Dr. Dmitry Novoseletsky. He is one of the few doctors I've seen who takes time to listen, answer questions, and care about my well-being. I can say the same thing about the entire staff that stands behind hm. I am now enjoying my life with my two little kids; and being as active as I once was. read more

I'm in law enforcement and Dr. Peterson repaired my ankle and overworked Achilles' tendon caused by the nature of my job. He's a God because now after surgery I'm feeling so much better from my symptoms. Yes the surgery is hard at first but I'm not complaining because I know I have to go through this to be free of the everyday burning and tenderness pain I was experiencing. I'm now in my second month since surgery happened July 31 and for the first time EVER in a long time I don't have pain, I'm free! :) Thank you Dr. Peterson you are awesome! read more

This has been probably my 20th visit at Suburban Orthopedics. I would like to thank everyone on that staff, and I will truly in particular would like to thank Dr Howard Freedberg who performed my surgery. I had never had surgery before in my life, and I was totally terrified make no mistake. The staff, and Dr. Freedberg were outstanding, as well as courtesy to my needs as a patient. The experience was one of the most gratifying I have ever experienced, although I was a little terrified, however if I had to make a choice to be in anyone's hand during my surgery it will be the staff at Suburban Orthopedics, and Dr Freedberg. My surgery was performed September of 2015, I've visited Suburban Orthopedics, and Dr. Freedberg since the surgery. I must say every visit has been truly wonderful, very comfortable I really truly appreciate the staff, and Dr. Freedberg courtesy, professionalism, and the warm nourishing during every visit since the surgery, in September of 2015 what a wonderful staff. I wish i can give negative review for their MRI service, here is what i went through them to just schedule appointment. On may 25th 2016, I try to schedule the appointment for my hand MRI via phone they said they need prescription from my doctor by mean of FAX even though I had written prescription. I called my doctor and have them fax it. Then i call them again on Tuesday 31st May to schedule the appointment and they said they did not received it yet even the doctor said they faxed it. So i call the Doctor again and have them Fax them again on 31st May. Then i call suburban MRI to see if they have my prescription they said they have it and call me again by EOD to schedule my appointment. however on 1st June at 6 PM she call me again saying they did not received and can not schedule my appointment on 2nd June as they promises. So i am still in excruciating pain and lost 7-8 days without appointment. Without MRI my doctor won't give me appointment as he need that MRI to diagnose and give me treatment. read more

(I'm still in the long process of waiting and jumping through hoops for Suburban Orthopedics to find relief for my pain, numbness, and discomfort)... I hurt my back back in July and went to my regular doctor who did little more than prescribe pain killers, exercises, then recommend a chiropractor. After over a month of little improvement, on the recommendation of my chiropractor, I visited Suburban Orthopedics to see Dr. McNally. On the day of my "appointment," I filled out paperwork for a half hour, waited in the waiting room for forty-five minutes, and then waited another twenty minutes in a treatment room. Finally, a nurse came and took basic vitals and asked me questions about my injury. I was then left alone for another fifteen minutes, when an assistant of some sort came in and asked me essentially the same questions and did some basic test of reflexes. To no surprise, I was then left alone again for another ten minutes before Dr. McNally came in and asked me the SAME questions that I had just answered twice. He met with me for maybe five minutes before referring me to schedule an MRI and an EMG test. The MRI test was a week later, followed by the EMG test a week after that. The next appointment that I could make was SIX WEEKS after my MRI! At no time did I get a call or any contact about the results of my MRI, rather, I had to wait the weeks in pain and discomfort. Thankfully, the time for the appointment came, and I waited this time for forty-five minutes to be moved to a treatment room, where once again I sat alone for long periods of time and was visited by two assistants. All in all, I waited for two hours and talked to Dr. McNally for under ten minutes...only to be told that based on my MRI results, I was referred to ANOTHER doctor in the practice to discuss scheduling an epidural shot. So now I have to wait two weeks (they cancelled my original appointment that was to be in a week) to see this new doctor, most likely take yet another day off of work and wait for hours to be seen...only to see a doctor for five minutes and finally schedule the epidural. THEN, I'll most likely have to take another day off of work, wait for hours more, then finally get treatment. Talk about an aggravating process to seek and receive treatment! Why on Earth couldn't Dr. McNally simply LOOK at my MRI results and contact me to let me know my options and get the ball moving to help me, rather than making me wait six weeks and jump through all the office visit hoops over and over?? The treatment and tests that I have received up to this point have been good, don't get me wrong, and I'm hoping that EVENTUALLY, I'll get relief for my pain, numbness, and discomfort. When that happens, I'll revisit this review and perhaps give higher marks for good treatment. I cannot, however, give a decent review for how patients are over-scheduled, and treated like a number while visiting the office. read more

I LOVE Dr Kyle Peterson but I just don't know if it's enough to keep me coming back and having to deal with the poor staff. The woman who escorted me to exam room and subsequently interviewed me about the reason for my visit, did not greet me nor pay attention to the answers I gave. She kept bringing up my "right heel" which was in my file from previous year. My appt this time was for a broken toe! She ordered an x-ray and took me to that room. When the x-ray tech began her verification, her instructions were to x-ray my HEEL!!! It took some time to convince her I wasn't an idiot and I was there for a broken toe. Two days later I called to get a copy of the xray. I was transferred to MRI, made the request and was told I could pick it up in "48 hrs." It was a Thursday so i asked her if that would be Monday. She instructed me to wait until Tuesday and added, "we will call you if we get it done sooner." I went in on Tuesday and they had nothing for me! I knew it!!!! It is almost laughable if it weren't so inconvenient all the time!!! I told the girl at the front desk that I had been transferred to MRI to make my request and she said, "yeah! Why don't you go over there and see if they have it!" (Why wouldn't she KNOW who does this and why didn't she just call MRI and ask, though it is only out the door, into the foyer and thru door to next area) I walked over to MRI and the only person there, who spoke like I was SUCH A PROBLEM for her (absolutely ZERO personality), asked me who I spoke to when I called as she searched for my disc. What? You have dozens of employes in this tiny MRI office who would be answering the phone and taking requests for x-rays? Of course, there was nothing for me. I went back to the office front desk and informed the first girl who offered to burn me a copy. This took her a few minutes and I was finally done. (Funny though, when I got to my car, I saw it was labeled with my name and the word, "ankle!" LOL Later that day I got a voicemail from the grump in MRI, who said something about, my "inconvenience," and mumblings regarding my xray while asking me to call her back. I'm SURE there is evidence of further incompetence, but why torture myself? read more

A friend of mine recommend Dr. Howard Freedberg, he's great ! I had to have surgery on my foot. It was a redo from a previous doctor who didn't do the surgery right the first time. Dr. Freedberg took care of my foot and I haven't had any problems with it. Now I'm seeing him for my knee. read more

I tried to return the phone call to the number Dr Freeman left to discuss the issue. As always couldn't get through to anything but voicemail. I left a message, if someone is willing to talk about this I would be more then willing. Just so you know because of the lousy care I broke ribs with no trauma finally leading to a diagnosis of osteoporosis and I got treatment. Dr. Freedberg was able to arthroscopically repair a complex tibial plateau fracture when two other orthopods recommended an open reconstruction. Since the surgery, I've been able to return to skiing and running. As a physician myself, I can appreciate the skill and experience that Dr. Freedberg brings to the table. His PA, Tony, is also excellent. read more
