Kate D.

Just ordered the u bake got two pizzas a garlic bread sticks and cheesy bread which apparently is slices of bread with garlic spread and cheese on it! I could have made that at home and saved myself $7.99!!!!!

Has not been good service for years. Always tough to get prompt friendly service. I have quit ordering from Alfys.

I have been to many other Alfy's in northwest Washington and none of them compare to the pizza in Granite Falls.

At first, you could tell that this is a loved environment as they seem to have their regulars (they…read moreknow them by name & order). We came in and waited up front for a few minutes while the lady at the counter was finishing up with the orders she was handling. It seemed to have only been her and the man in the kitchen working at that time. We were greeted nicely, and seated at a booth. The waitress took our drink order and returned promptly with them. After we had reviewed the menu she was more than happy to take our order! The food was delicious and exactly what we were expecting to receive- if not better. We had many requests as we have a toddler and she showed no issue with completing them promptly and with a good attitude! (keep in mind it seemed like it was just her on the floor) Overall, service was great, food was amazing with large portions and great flavor. Hubby and I are already planning on coming back soon!

Long hike up to Lake 22 then back into Granite Falls for a little something to eat…read more It was about 2:30 PM on a Saturday afternoon- there was another couple in the restaurant when we got there- and only one server, I think. Jenny? We sat and checked out the extensive and impressive menu. We were both really tempted by the pasta dishes, but opted instead for a shared large pizza, and we each got a diet coke. We got mushrooms, pineapple, pepperoni and jalapenos. Took about 15 minutes- not overly long. The pizza was awesome. Perfectly crispy crust- flavorful toppings- not greasy. We were super hungry (and the two of us have been known to throw back an entire large pizza) but we had 4 slices left when we were done, to take home. For a large pizza, 4 toppings and 2 soft drinks we paid $47. The drinks were $7.50...I'll never understand how a soft drink is $3.75...the markup is just tremendous. And the pizza was not *cheap* but damn, it was good. Really good. I look forward to going back and trying out the pasta dishes, though since we don't live close by it'll either be a road trip to get there or it'll be on our way to or from somewhere else. I'd make that stop though, it's pretty good.

Okay I was reminded why I gave up on Subway yesterday. I decided I would give Subway another try to…read morerise up out of mediocrity and impress me but sadly that did not happen. The ladies working the counter were great. Very friendly and helpful. My problem was with the quality of the ingredients. I had a cold cut combo which is my favorite there. The "Italian" bread was stiff and stale which caused it to crumble around the sandwich hence making it difficult to eat. The cold cuts seemed sparse and slightly greasy, slipping out of the stale bread and making a huge mess. I finally gave up and ate what I could using my fingers. Not optimum to be sure. Who knows ? I may try again if a quick sandwich makes a difference in a hostage crisis or something but there are plenty of other options out there for me personally.

I eat at Subways in MN and IA 3 to 4 times a week when I travel. I visited this Subway and ordered…read morea steak and cheese sub and the guy started making a Subway melt. I explained to the gentleman I order a steak and cheese. The guy got all huffy with me and said no you didn't! Then the cashier (a very rude girl) said I heard you say a Subway melt. I politely said no I ordered a steak and cheese. This girl kept arguing with me about what I ordered! I said to her don't you know the customer is always right and she replied back saying no the customer is not always right. Now I've been in customer service business for over 20 years and I've never had a cashier argue with me and reply back to me in this way. She even went as far as saying I'll pull it up on camera and show you what you ordered. The cashier kept arguing with me and I pointed out why are you still arguing with me with customers in the store. She basically told me I was wrong! The store did finally make my steak and cheese sub after 3 minutes of listening to the cashier argue with me. So I did a survey on the receipt with my complaint and I received a generic/company reply back saying that the store is sorry for my experience and appreciates my feedback! No owner contact information at the bottom of the email with a phone number or email address. What kind of business does this! See the reply below! I'll never eat at this Subway again! Dear Brian, I want to take a moment to thank you for contacting me and to extend my apologies for the less than ideal experience that you had in my restaurant. I understand that my staff's behavior during your visit did not meet your expectations. I know that we have let you down, and for that, my team at this Subway® restaurant is sorry. We are dedicated to handcrafting our meals in a welcoming environment. I am always looking for ways to improve the restaurant experience for my customers, so I shared your feedback with my team to prevent this from happening in the future. Thank you for choosing Subway® and we look forward to seeing you soon. Courtney Emkes
