If only I could give this place 0 stars. I made an appointment the day before and on the website you have the option to add notes and I said I need my hair a bit short on the back and sides of my head but not too short where you can see my scalp and the top also not 2 short because I like it long enough to style it around and I told the dude exactly what I wrote on the notes for their websites so clearly they don't bother to read them. The person that did my hair was some dude named Andrew and when he finished and finally showed me what it looked like I told him it was 2 short. I told him I can see my scalp which i didn't want and the hair on the top of my head was pretty much gone and i told him I didn't really want it short because I wanted to style it up and this idiota said I still could like wtf lol like 98 percent of my top hair was gone. After that I wanted to argue even more but I just paid and left. They shouldn't have charged me since he fu*ked up. Don't go here y'all there is plenty of other options out there. Or maybe it was just that dude Andrew that sucks and the other guys might be good idk but ik it's the last time I go there. That's what I get for trying a barber shop for the first time and letting a dude near my hair. I'll stick with professional ladies since clearly they are better. read more

I was so excited when I found this place because I've had such a hard time finding a decent barber in Denver. It was great for a little while and I was a regular with Roman who was always awesome. Then he suddenly moved to a different location so I had to choose a different barber. I scheduled an appointment with Mike and when I arrived, he was still working on another client. It was 10 minutes past my appointment time when I finally sat down, which was fine, but then he trimmed and faded about an inch off of the side of my head and said he was done. I told him that it was not what I wanted and he refused to keep going. He said that changing it would require starting a new haircut and he had other appointments even though he had only worked on my hair for less than 20 minutes. He then passed me off to another barber which, in my 30+ years of going to barbershops, has never happened to me before. Mike is honestly a huge douchebag and now I'm back to having to find a new barbershop. read more

I have never been more impressed with how serious and caring a business can be during a time like this.. especially a barber shop. Alfani's has always been on top of their game, but my recent visit exceed my expectations. Upon arrival, I waited outside until someone came to get me. When they got me, they took my temperature with a thermometer that did not need to touch me which I appreciated. Then I was given hand sanitizer and allowed in. I saw my barber cleaning the chair and all the clippers before I sat down. I had to wear my mask the entire time as he did too. Once again, I was provided hand sanitizer before paying (self check out style) and leaving. I hope all other barber shops are doing the same! Having lived in Denver for over 15 years, I've struggled to find a consistently good barber. I've bounced around from fancy Cherry Creek salons, to Floyds, to everything in between. I think I've found my forever home at Alfani's. The guys there provide excellent (and consistent quality!) cuts. They're friendly and welcoming and really appreciate their customer base. I've taken my 7-year old son there, too, and they gave him the same level of service and attention to detail they'd give an adult. Try and find that at Floyds. Bottom line - I would highly recommend them to any guy in Denver looking for a solid haircut. read more

Just came back from getting my hair did and it came out awesome. Best haircut in a long time. Shop is nicely set up and their website is really easy to navigate and book an appointment. Wish I knew about this place a lot sooner because it's walking distance from my house in Cheesman Park. Nice now knowing that there is a great barbershop in the neighborhood. My barber did an amazing job! Now wish we didn't have to wear masks and bars were open so I could show off my new hairdo. Highly recommend this place and I'm def going back for my next cut. I actually live above this shop and it was love at first cut. It's an all men's shop to my knowledge, though I'm sure they wouldn't mind cutting women's hair! The shop was very cozy with nice leather chairs to wait your turn and it's pretty clean. Arthur is the hair genius who gave me my cut and I have to say this man is a master with scissors. He really listened to what I wanted which I feel is rare in barbers these days. I feel like most hear what they want to hear and just start cutting but I had expressed my concerns with Arthur and he listened and executed the cut with ease! The man can fade people... Blended to perfection. When the cut is over you get an nice old fashion straight edge razor and warm shaving cream neck trim. Blair actually cut my boyfriends Jacob's hair and surprisingly he's more picky than I am. He recently had hair past his shoulders and finally wanted to change things up with a more edgy cut. Chopping this much hair off at once could make anyone nervous but Blair was a champ in calming Jacobs nerves. He did exactly what Jacob asked and in my opinion Jacob's hair never looked better. Great job Blair! He even does color! The only negative I can say about this shop is they are closed Saturday's but I can live with this. I get to watch these men cut hair everyday as I walk my dog and I have to say I don't think you can go wrong with any of the barbers. read more

This is the first barbershop I tried after moving to Denver. I totally lucked out, especially getting David as a barber. I ended up arriving early, so I got to see him cut the hair of the guy before me, and that totally put my mind at ease. David is top notch. He works fast, gives great haircuts, i've only gotten great haircuts from him, and I've been going for months now. David's funny, friendly, and chill, and so are all the Alfani's barbers I've met. I've been coming here for at least 5 years and I couldn't be happier. It's usually a warm and humorous environment and the staff is very knowledgeable about many different hair types. While all of the staff have done a great job cutting my hair, David has cut it the most. I've reached a point where I just sit down in David's chair and let him do whatever he wants to my hair. Not only has this worked for me, but I get compliments on my haircut in public (about a few times a month). That's probably the best sign of a good barbershop. read more

If you are looking for a no nonsense, no big frills spot, to get a great haircut (especially men) this is it. This "not so hidden" gem in Denver's Capital Hill neighborhood, has been there for years providing high quality service at a reasonable cost. It is hard to know at first, but there is parking dedicated for this spot in the rear of the building along Lafayette. I've always been a fan of the area, as it is the closest that Denver has to NYCs Village, and Arthur the proprietor at Alfani's is actually a native of NYC. Alfani's was one of the very first places I found using Yelp. In fact this is just the type of place that I believe benefits the most from Yelp. What you have here is a great local barber shop that is owned and operated by Arthur, who I believe named the shop after his father. I feel good about spending my money in local business, especially when it is a service I am going to keep repeating my business. So, the barbers are good at what they do and will do most styles. I keep my appointments with Arthur mostly but you can't go wrong. They can get busy, so it's a good idea to make an appointment. read more
