Haverhill VA Clinic

Haverhill VA Clinic

A Veterans outpatient clinic that provides primary care and specialty health services, including…read moremental health services, laboratory services, and more. This is a great location compared to its previous with plenty of parking and a large waiting room. Only major negative to this clinic is the wait time for appointments. I always have a first appointment at 8 AM and I always have to wait. I can be the only person in the waiting room, and have to wait 20-30 minutes for lab work or to see the doctor. I don't understand why the hold up if I am the only one in the office waiting area. There are not enough doctors here permanently as they rotate every couple years or they are only here a couple days a week and it is hard to schedule regularly. But where else can you get a fast appointment with a primary care physician outside? At least here you can call and schedule and then plan to see a doctor sooner than outside VA healthcare. This clinic is affiliated with the Bedford VA Hospital so you can't be a patient in Manchester VA. The two systems don't match which is dumb. This location would be very convenient if yes. When you do get in after waiting, the nurses are awesome. They are very helpful and are able to answer any questions. That is the same with the doctors. So the medical staff for this clinic are amazing. I have yet to have any medical staff issues at any VA facility. I might run into someone on admin staff from time to time who might not be helpful, but in my experience, it is a rare occasion. Back to this clinic - medical staff are awesome. If getting labs, the nurses are always helpful and educational. They know medicine quite well and it's amazing how well. Overall, great clinic that I recommend to any veteran.

Accustar Labs - Radon test device

Three years ago, a professional inspector for my house used a different laboratory to measure the radon levels in my basement. That level was 3.3 pCi/L (picocuries per liter of air), which is below the Environmental Protection Agency's action level of 4.0 but can still increase people's risk of developing lung cancer. That lab recommended that I retest the radon levels in my house in 2-3 years and that I "consider" installing a radon mitigation system. This year was three years later. I have not yet installed a radon mitigation system, but I found AccuStar Lab's radon test online. The test is sold through AccuStar's website as well as through other retailers. I purchased my test through Home Depot. To perform the test, I placed two open canisters 4 inches apart, 2 feet away from the floor or ceiling, and 3 feet away from doors, walls, and windows. I left the canisters there for 72 hours (48-96 hours is acceptable) in Closed Building Conditions (no open windows or doors except for normal entering and exiting). After the 72 hours had passed, I put lids and special tape on the canisters, and I filled out a data sheet with information about the location, time, and conditions. The test kit had come with a box and a no-postage-necessary First-Class USPS label, but the instructions advised against using this label! They said that the USPS often experiences delays that can invalidate the test. They instead recommended using UPS or FedEx. Well, I decided to print a Priority Mail label from the USPS website, and my package arrived at AccuStar Labs in just under 2 days. Two days later, the laboratory emailed me the result of my radon test. The result was 3.0 pCi/L. The laboratory recommended that I retest my house in two years to ensure that my radon levels are still under the EPA's action level. In two years, I will be happy to purchase another AccuStar radon test.

I believe it's a scam. You buy the kit, send it in using the prepaid first class box/postage…read moreprovided. Needs to be processed within a certain timeframe...apparently it took my kit 21 days to be received and processed & therefore there are no results as it say too long. Spent $15 for nothing. Many radon companies will provide the test for you for free - they get their money only if the results fail & you choose them to remedy the situation. Save your money

Their billing is overly aggressive and you never know what anything is going to cost until after the work is done. You could wallpaper your house with the multiple bills they send, and the phone calls start pretty much one second after the due date. I put their bills at the bottom of the pile and wait until the last possible second to pay after about the 3rd voice message, just as an act of defiance because they are so annoying. Eventually, you do have to pay because they've turned their poor phlebotomists into bill collectors; who can't draw your blood until your $30.00 past due is current, even though they probably overcharged to begin with and already got $150.00 from your insurance company.Just another greedy company that is typical of everything that is wrong with our broken health care system.

They didnt take my car in til 830 1 hour goes by now they say its going to be 2 hours 2 hours go by still not done. Then they say Its the wrong part and they cant finish today cause they close early so they just assumed I can leave my car there til sometime next week for them to finish. I told her I cant I have to go to work. I need my car put back together so I could leave. I literally had to argue with her because she wouldn't give me my car back then had the nerve to say I still had to pay almost 200$ til I said I'll call my attorney funny thing how I got my car back faster. Do you know what they doing while you're paying for labor? First they had to go get breakfast eat then the one working on my car thought I left and came out and sat at the desk holding the dog he sees me he leaves with the dog. He's walking around with him he looks under my hood while holding the dog I've never see so many incompetent people in my life . Been there twice they always had a attitude Prices you charge should be friendlier. The guys here look like they just stumbled out of the bar and as for her I could go on and on. Ever hear if your cold your pet is cold? No heat in that place you got a dog in there all day. Just another unfit dog owner
