We had been there once before quite some time ago, and this visit reminded us why we liked it so much. The prices are very competitive, especially for the quality of service you receive. The atmosphere was calm, clean, and incredibly relaxing from the moment we walked in. The massage therapists were excellent, they instinctively knew exactly what I needed. They used just the right amount of pressure and worked through a tremendous amount of tension in my shoulders and neck. I tend to carry stress for long periods of time and live in a constant "fight or flight" mode, so when someone truly works out those deep knots and helps your body relax, it can almost feel like a shock to your system. I was a little nauseous afterward, but that's completely normal when you release that much built-up tension. After a carb-heavy, high-protein meal with a little sodium, I felt much better. The next morning I'm definitely sore, but again, that's expected when you've been holding onto that much tightness. What matters most is that I feel lighter, both physically and emotionally. My circulation feels better, the tension is gone, and I genuinely feel like a heavy burden has been lifted off my shoulders. My husband and I absolutely plan to return regularly. If you're carrying stress in your body and need real relief, Coco Massage is worth it.

We arrived at approximately 7:25 PM, so we were there early and ready for our appointment. We were told there would be a short delay because they were waiting for another therapist to arrive. We understood and waited patiently. Around 7:45 PM, we were finally taken back to the room, got ready, and laid on the massage tables. Then we waited again. The therapists did not actually come into the room to begin our massages until approximately 8:05 PM, which was already 25 minutes after our scheduled appointment time. Before the massage, we were each asked to fill out paperwork indicating the areas we wanted the therapists to focus on. My husband's therapist apparently did not follow his form, because the areas he specifically requested were not addressed. During my massage, I repeatedly asked my therapist to use lighter pressure. Despite asking more than once, the pressure continued to be much harder than I was comfortable with. The hot-stone portion was even more concerning. The stones used on my back were so hot that I was burned, and I now have visible burn marks on my back. Then, despite purchasing an 80-minute massage, they finished at approximately 9:05 PM. Since they did not begin until approximately 8:05, we received about 60 minutes of massage time. Their delay effectively cost us approximately 20 minutes of a service that we had already paid for. The experience at checkout made an already disappointing visit even worse. I had prepaid for the massages online. As we were leaving, I was told that I "needed to pay." When I explained that I had already paid online, I was told that I had paid for the massage but had not paid the tip. I had actually intended to leave a tip despite everything that had happened. However, I do not appreciate being made to feel as though a gratuity is mandatory. If a particular gratuity is required, it should be included in the advertised price of the service rather than presented as a required additional payment afterward. We did leave a tip, but the reaction to the amount we chose to leave was extremely rude and made us feel even more uncomfortable. The morning after the massage, I woke up with tingling and numbness in my left hand that I had not experienced before, visible burns down my back, and significant soreness after repeatedly asking for lighter pressure. In summary, our appointment began approximately 25 minutes late, we received about 60 minutes of an 80-minute service, our stated requests were not followed, my requests for lighter pressure were not respected, I was burned by the hot stones, and the interaction regarding gratuity afterward was extremely uncomfortable. Based on our experience, I would not return and cannot recommend Mint Massage.

For the price, the convenience and how feeling really good transfers into the rest of my life -- it's totally worth it. I like a good amount of pressure -- I always feel a little guilty because it's got to be a little exhausting. But I have a physical job, I'm middle-aged, and I have some pain so I appreciate that she really gets into it. She is super intuitive -- she knows just what hurts and how to work it out. I was a regular here before Covid, and was happy to see that they were still open afterwards. I've had 2 or 3 different massage therapists there over the years, but Emily is the primary (now maybe the only) person I've seen. She's got a great technique of using her knees on your back that I've never seen anywhere else - it's very good for an aching back., and she gives a great overall massage with some Swedish and stretching. The building is a little old, but maintained and clean. The rooms are clean and nice - they use a light disposable sheet with face holes cut into them on the tables. The place has always seemed clean and hygienic. I think their credit card machine isn't working now, and the phone number listed on Apple Maps doesn't seem to work (rings with no voicemail), but she has returned my call from a different number before. Since it's only Emily there most of the time, there have been times that she answers the phone during a massage. She makes these very brief and I never felt like the massage was really impacted. If you are in the DTC area looking for a massage, consider Zen, but call first to schedule.

I was looking for someone good at walking on my back but not someone too big. :) Emily didn't walk on my back but she did use her knees. Sounds painful but it felt very good and my back is much happier this afternoon. Only downside which cost one star is the A/C kept kicking on and it was making the room cold. She turned it down when I asked and I should have asked sooner before getting cold. I'll return again in the future. Its hard to find a masseuse which is able to find the sore spots.
