This is the 1st time in about a year or so since I have been on this site, I was surprised that they only have a 2 1/2 star rating. First I would like to say that Neil and Bette are the owners then you have pharmacy technicians like Debbie, Vicki, Jody ,( pharmacist) who are also very helpful when you call in. Since my last post on this site there has been a couple of Customers Servive people have been replaced. I have been with this Pharmacy for 20 plus years, so I have seen alot of Customers Service people replace, new pharmacist brought in, and for the most part it has been better with the customer service people with the exception of 1 or 2 of them who just have an attuide, like they are being bothered by you calling, of course I let Neil know about it, unfortunately I did not know the girls names . However, there are a couple of girls who have been with the pharmacy for a year or so that are great and do as much as they can to assist you. As for the pharmacist, as I stated Neil and Bette, Debbie, Vickki, Jody always take your questions and help you & great at their job which is extremely difficult since they also have to deal with people who think they are always right, and want medication that is way too early to fill due law's in this state and others states too and then if that person doctors makes a mistake, that person should contact their doctors and get it fixed, and at times the pharmacist may do it for you. Then at times the pharmacist has to deal with various insurance companies which is always a pain in the ass! Customers should remember that, since there are some medication need prior approval which is more phone calls for them or for to contact your doctor themselves to get it done. About a year ago, I was very disappointed that I had reccomend several new customers to the pharmacy, and when I asked these people why where they upset with pharmacy, and I was told by them, that the people answering phones where rude, and refused to put a pharmacist on the phone when they had specific questions and the side effects,in addition to see if the pharmacy carried a certain brand of medication or a certain genetic medication since they where allergic to various types of medications and if it would interact with the 1-0 presently on they customer service people that answered the phone refused to put a pharmacist on phone that they were all too busy and wouldn't even take their name and a phone number. I really felt bad about this and let the owners know about it. I believe those girls are now gone. Since the covid-19 epidemic, I have seen an improvement in the customer service, and the pharmacist are return phone calls to those people who could not speak with them when they called. The wait time for prescription have been filled quicker then 2 years ago. Also due to this electronic script sending by doctors, is a good and a bad thing at the same time. The patient doesnt get to check what the doctor wrote out on a script, this is all do to the stupid people who think it's a good idea to try changing the paper script so now most things are sent by computer, and mistakes get made then that patient gets mad and reaching doctors at times is hard, because they have patients. Or in my personal experience the doctors office staff doesn't get the message to the doctor until too late in the day or the next day, which is not fair to either the patient or the drug store. As I previously stated I have been going there over 20 yrs, and still reccomend customer to them. There has been alot of improvements made at the store. This is why I have stayed with them. read more

The pharmacist (who I am most certain is the owner) is dishonest and makes up falsifications when presented with the truth. He outright lied about my order delivery for fulfillment when my interaction had been with others, not with him! I get notification of when my order will be ready and then he offers continual excuses for why it wasn't filled which means it is late and I need to go without the medication. I can not deal with someone who alters the truth. That is unacceptable! read more

I was left on hold for 17 minutes, told they'd return my call 3 times over 2 days and never did. when I asked to speak with a manger I was told by him that if they don't need my business and hung up on me. If I could give negative stars I would. I had a prescription for my ADHD and was told a shipment was coming in yesterday (Monday) I understand there is a shortage and was understanding of that since I've been trying to find pharmacies that have it. Monday comes and he said he doesn't have it and to try again tomorrow (today). So I had my prescription changed to a higher dose and that's the dosage they had in stock and they confirmed over the phone the dosage and that it'll be ready in 45 mins (which would be 5:45) and I thought perfect I'm on my way home from work and go pick it up and it's not ready so I wait and they give it to me and I get home and notice it's the wrong dosage after telling me TWICE over the phone the correct dosage. My mom goes in to pickup the correct dosage for me and they say they need the one I took so they can swap it and I'll get the right one and they get the wrong one. So my mom comes home takes the wrong one to them and they say "we can't do exchanged or swapping of medication". And she's like you just told me not even 10 minutes ago I can and to go get it to switch it out. He then said he'll give me HALF of my correct dosage and half of the wrong one and my mom asked why and he said it was because he wants to save it for the little kids that actually need the medication.... What??? My prescription from my doctor isn't proving enough that I need it? I understand people abuse it - making the shortage an issue for the ones who need it, but does NOT give you the right to assume or say anything at all. Let alone openly admitting to withholding MY prescription so you can save it for someone else. To me, that's like coming in for depression meds and saying you're not going to give me my full medication so you can save it for someone who fits the image of a depressed person... AWFUL. They all back each other up in there making the workers who stay silent, just as bad as the owners. His name was Joe and he said "why don't you take down my information and report me to the board" and that's was a fantastic idea. Do not EVER EVER EVER go here if you can help it. If I wasn't able to find my medication and this pharmacy and another one 20 states away had it, I'd drive 20 states away before EVER going to this place again. Had such a terrible experience today that I felt compelled to write a review and vent. TERRIBLE PHARMACY! DO NOT go there! The owner Neil and staff are so unprofessional it's unbelievable. As a chronic pain patient who has been on the same types of meds for years I rely on meds to get me through the day. When Rite Aid didn't have my med in stock, I asked Neil if he had it and he said yes. When I brought the script to him he treated me like a drug addict criminal saying he couldn't fill it because I went to Rite Aid first. He said he would have to call my doctor because it didn't sound right and I said GO RIGHT AHEAD! He then said they probably won't call him back until after 5pm. lol. At that point I knew he was purposely giving me a hard time. I said I'll call them too if you want. He then gave me back my script and said "take it in case they tell you to go elsewhere like a ToyrsRus pharmacy." Really? Wow, very professional. Not to mention, he said this out loud in front of customers and employees. I was very patient, nice, and willing to wait or do whatever he asked of me while he verified but I guess he was not expecting my response and lost his cool. I used to get mine and my family's meds filled here. NEVER again. I will not be treated with disrespect and a as a criminal when I have legitimate prescriptions. I never asked to fill anything early. I do not think it is wrong to go to a different pharmacy if one doesn't have it in stock. I don't think I should be disrespected or my character attacked because Neil was having a bad day. Also, there is also a lot of people waiting in a tiny area to get meds filled and there is absolutely NO privacy. I can hear whatever type of med a customer is trying to fill. I've given this pharmacy 4 months to prove itself and every prescription has been filled wrong, not at all, or with significant difficulty mismanaged by a hapless and inconsiderate staff. Staff have a complete lack of respect for their customers, the business lacks any level of customer service and all have an obvious disregard for customer satisfaction. In the face of their own blatant mistakes, the staff actually have the audacity to make derogatory comments to their customer. The owner is as guilty of all this as his employees and does not follow through on anything he says or promises to handle. Unfortunately this is one local small business I can't recommend and will not support. read more

I don't normally write reviews of businesses online, unless something exceptional happens during my experience - unfortunately, my experience was exceptionally bad. In an age of mailed-meds and big chain pharmacies, you would think the smaller "mom-n-pop" shops would try even harder - not the case at Alexanders. I dropped off my prescriptions and I was initially happy with the customer service. They took my information and told me I could either wait 20 minutes or come back in one hour. Since I had my baby with me, I opted to come back. I came back after 1 1/2 hours (figured the extra time wouldn't hurt) and was told the order would be ready shortly. 25 minutes later (isn't this the reason I opted to come back later in the first place?), they started to ring up my order and I remembered I had a discount card in the car. I returned in less than a minute and had to wait another 20 minutes because one of the medicines wasn't mixed yet. This begs the question, why did that start to ring me up in the first place? Only after they rang me up, they mentioned that they couldn't fully fill one of the prescriptions. At this point I had been waiting over 45 minutes, so I asked if I could just take that prescription off the order and have it filled elsewhere. The very exasperated answer I was given was, "Well, if you take it out, you'll have to wait for us to remove it from the order and re-ring it." Really? Sadly, I held my tongue and took my partially filled order - which came with no apology of any kind - No "sorry for the wait," or "sorry we couldn't fill this completely" - not a single word that even resembled any kind of apology or pleasantry - nothing. There were other people waiting (3-4, a few of them also only received partially filled orders), and none of them received a kind word or apology either. A single "sorry" or "we apologize for the wait" - or even any explanation as to why this process took so long and I wouldn't be writing this review. read more

I would love to give this place a good review. I worked with them several times and they did a good job at a low price. Here is where there leader Neil made a bad mistake. My doctor ordered meds on Friday I needed for Saturday - the Pharmacy told they did not have a courier. I sent a private courier (at my cost) to pick up the package to be delivered to my work. This was thousands of dollars worth of medication. I was not in the office when the package arrived, so the staff signed for it and put in in my office. What was so shocking was that the brown grocery bag of all my medicines was completely wide OPEN. The bio hazard container, the needles, the medications that were totally private - open for all to see. This was so surprising that it was not packaged correctly for the courier to deliver discreetly. So when I alerted the specialist - he told me this: I am so sorry that the courier left your package unattended at your work place. Unfortunately, the issue seems to be with the courier service you selected. I am very surprised that the courier service you used would not have made sure the medication was delivered to you and have you sign for the receipt. If you had chosen the courier we use,(which I understand was very costly) the package would never have been left unattended. They would have ensured that you personally would have received the package, it would not have been left on your office chair. If we had shipped to you, which is the regular procedure, it would have arrived in a box. Neil Not taking responsibility for their mistake - and putting it on the courier. Is it the couriers responsible to properly prepare a package with confidential medical information? I just wish he had sincerely apologized for their mistake instead of putting blame on someone else. Very good service. Very convenient if you work as they have extended evening hours and open Saturday. Owners put in a tremendous effort to obtain a hard-to-get medicine, and then assisted further by contacting insurance company to lower co-pay. Another time they helped my 90 year old mother with her incontinence issue which was never discussed openly before as she was very embarrassed . The pharmacist spoke to her like family, and helped her to feel comfortable, discussed various products, and spent time with her to decide which would work best for her. read more

Alexander Twin Pharmacy is an extremely reliable and convenient store. I ran of out medicine while doing my IVF cycle and contacted them on Saturday after hours for assistance. They were so kind to offer to come in on Sunday and meet me at the store to make sure I received my medication. They met and I received my medication to continue my cycle. If you like lack of service, being ignored while one cashier talks on the phone and the other goes through invoice and a pharmacist who finally comes out to help you and sells you the wrong product, this is the place for you! I would not recommend this pharmacy at all. I have always had to wait days for a Rx to be filled and then deal with the rude staff when you call to ask. They have only 1 person who can do compounding and no one can assist you with getting a time frame on when they can prepare your medication if he is out. Transferred to Mercerville Pharmacy and love the service- they get 5 Stars!!! read more

Ugh! This will be the last time I ever use this pharmacy. I called in my prescription. The tech told me that it would be ready in a hour. I get there a hour and a half later and it's still was not ready. The tech told me to come back in ten mins. I went next door and ordered some Chinese food, ate it and came back. My prescription still wasn't ready. Unprofessional IMO. My time is valuable and I have other errands to run. If you tell me a hour then that's what I expect. Get it together! I ordered expensive fertility medication from Alexander's Twin Pharmacy. I ordered based on a few suggestions by others From a fertility board. My Dr. called in the script on Friday, I spoke with Neil on Saturday to discuss a few questions I had about the delivery and payed over the phone. My medication arrived in Michigan over night as promised and came in a sturdy cooler with the ice pack still Cold on a 100 deg day. I never ever write reviews but thought they were reliable and friendly to deal with. Hopefully I will not need an order for more meds :) but I will order again if the need arises !! read more

I am a fairly new customer and after having a horrific car accident being forced to take more meds needed a pharmacy unlike CVS or Walgreens that doesn't have the time to really listen to the customer......I ASSURE YOU THAT THOSE BAD REVIEWS ARE WRONG OR THEY ARE SHADY PEOPLE. Neil (the owner ) has gone above and beyond to help me...I've had huge insurance problems that were always Changing and Drs. He is always patient and will fix the problem...yes they are busy but that's a good thing and if you can't be a little patient I mean there are other people in the world That need help too....he has ALWAYS found a way to save me money and I've NEVER in countered that in my life. The last local neighborhood pharmacy in Hamilton. They learn your name after a few visits they take time to lean you're concerns and are always willing to work with you on the price of certain medications. The store also has a lot of cool stuff inside ..... Definitely worth a visit. They are much more efficient than a typical name brand. read more

A dozen employees and you still wait a half hour. Perscription was dropped off Monday and still not filled by Thursday. This was know fluke, happens all the time. Never anybody at front register for lottery. Neil just keep smiling selling his money making fertilization drugs. I'm changing pharmacy, there's one on every corner so shouldn't be an issue. read more

I would never ever recommend anybody to go to this pharmacy. The pharmacist is very arrogant and rude. When I called him to get a price quote for IVF medicines,he gave me one price and when I placed an order he charged me different. Further the medicines arrived without any ice pack so they were all hot. Certain injections for IVF require to be kept in cool temperature and they send me the injections without any ice pack and these medicines are really costly. read more

I have transferred my grandparents medication from Acme to this place given the fact that I take care of them now and it's 3 blocks from where I live. Their names are John and Maria as I will withhold their last names, but so far so good. I like this place, they have a really nice pharmacist named Neil. He seems pretty knowledgeable. I like that. But I will say, I'm my experience at the Acme pharmacy which has become poor, since their 2 good techs and pharmacist left (to Kmart) it was awesome 5 years ago when a guy Mike worked there. He always had my stuff and my families Rx's ready as promised and was such a nice person as he delivered stuff to my grandparents on several occasions when Acme does not offer that service. He is very personable and was excellent with customers. In fact, which is the reason I am writing this, is I SAW him at this pharmacy. He works up front at general merchandise and lottery tickets. He saw me and greeted me by name. I haven't seen this guy in 5 years and he still remembers my name and even my grandparents names. That amazes me that he is that good. He was really great to me and my family 5 years ago and still remembers us. Why he is working up front and not in pharmacy is beyond me, but he is a GEM with customers as he knew everyones name and was very personable. I expect that everyone else here to do the same that he has for me in the past. I will return to this pharmacy and will bring the rest of my family's meds here as well. Mike is great and I thought I would let other people who use this site that he has helped me for 10+ years of unparalleled service at acme and now he is at Alexander's. I will definitely repeat and comeback here. Mike is here and so my business will transfer from Acme to Alexander's just like Mike did. I will give 4 stars but it would have been given 5 if mike was in Pharmacy. We love that guy. It was good to see him after 5 years. The prices are good here and I like the pharmacist Neil as well. After being in touch with this pharmacy for infertility medication for months. The medications through them turned out to be quite expensive, and I was told by the pharmacist (Bette) that it wasn't them but was my insurance, which it could possibly have been. But I asked them if there were any coupons I could use to get a discount, and at one point she said yes, but still the price was steep ($700 after the coupon.) Then I called a month later to get the medication again, and then they told me the price changed based on my insurance's deductible. I told them how could it go down 1 month and up the next. No response, except that it was my insurance. This excuse just made me not trust them and then they gave me a reason why a coupon wouldn't work in this case either. Lucky I was able to get samples of the medication through my doctor. But I finally was forced to use them for the last part of my treatment this time, so I couldn't refuse them. The only great thing abt this place is that it's right next to my house. So I called ahead of time to ask if I could use a check to pay for the medication and they said yes, but when I went to go pick it up and pay they told me that their check machine "wasn't working." I asked them how within 5 mins could the check reader not be working. Neil the owner gave me some excuse about Chase bank, which I didn't comprehend. But then I asked him if I could use a coupon towards the medication. He told me that coupon wouldn't work, and would charge me more than what he was charging. I asked him can he try and if that's the case to reverse the charges and recharge to what the initial price was, but he said no he couldn't and it wouldn't allow him to do it! If you're the owner what would stop you from trying??!! He then proceeded to tell me about how he learned about this in a pharmacy convention in Las Vegas. I don't care, I just want to get a discount. This pharmacy makes excuses, doesn't help you, and then basically doesn't want to admit to their mistakes. When I was waiting for my turn to pick up, the guy in front on me had mentioned something to Neil the pharmacist, and he basically said he was wrong. So this confirmed that this was not a good pharmacy to work with. There are other pharmacies in the area, Episcopo, Mercerville, etc...which cater to your needs. Just a suggestion as they are not the only option! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst pharmacy and I also support some of the other lousy reviews. I ordered drugs remotely and was told I would receive them the following Wednesday (fertility drugs and were timed). I was told that someone would call me back either that day or the following day to process the order and that I would receive the drugs when I needed them. However I did not receive a phone call. I assumed it was still being processed and called back on Monday to verify. No one had followed up on their end and they were still "waiting" for a prior authorization from my doctor. But had someone actually called me to tell me this I would have taken care of it. When I asked to speak to a supervisor assuming she would have been apologetic and offered to help expedite moving forward she was the worst!!! She defended her employees not calling me back, had a bad attitude, said that she has other customers also and was just plain rude. This is the second time I've dealt with them and both times have been awful. The worst customer service. There are a lot of pharmacy options in ordering these meds and I HIGHLY recommend ordering from an alternative one to Alexander pharmacy. They don't deserve our business. read more
