From the outset, Victor impressed me with his knowledge and professionalism. They cut down about 10 very tall cypress trees and 5 huge overgrown trees that hadn't been touched in 15+ years. They also demolished an old shed anchored in concrete, graded the area, put in grass and planted 7 new cypress trees along the border. In addition, they removed an old non-functioning BBQ structure and cut down about 5 palo verde trees in the front yard. All of this was done in just 2.5 days, and the results exceeded my expectations. These guys know what they're doing and have a lot of experience. Victor and I first verbally agreed on the scope of work and price, and he followed up with a contract that reflected exactly what we discussed. I asked for severe trimming of an olive (they are quite resilient) and moderate trimming and thinning of our Live Oak in Altadena so as not to overhang on the neighbors and backing them away from the main house for fire mitigation. We are also planning on a new roof and solar installation. Ivo Navarro came on time to meet with me. Very courteous, professional, informative and answered all of my questions. He was very particular about the live oak and ensuring to not harm it in anyway (this is an exceptionally old and large Coastal Live Oak). It is very evident that he cares about trees and wants to ensure the trimming leaves the trees healthy and with a natural look. The crew arrived on time. They all had their safety equipment on. They were very careful to ensure your property is protected by removing (and later replacing) things on the walls, potted plants, patio furniture as well as protecting the chicken coop! Then they placed boards against the nearby windows to protect them. The crew used manly manual tools (which I like - so did the dog and the neighbors) and did use a chainsaw a few times for bigger limbs. There were a total of five men (including Ivo) and ALL were professional, courteous and seemed like happy employees. The end result WAS AMAZING! Natural looking oak and a trimmed up reduced olive. Ripped off. Hired them to repair/replace and do maintenance on my backyard sprinkler system. They…read morenever added one sprinkler, just uncovered and unburied the old ones, put a few new caps on them, and pretended they installed them. when I questioned the placement of a few, Salvador lied and told me that he put the sprinklers right where I had told him to. Lied to my face right there on my property! Those sprinklers have been there for 26 years! I asked him why they had not installed a sprinkler in the middle of the area where the lawn would be, it needed a sprinkler there, and Salvador stated that the existing sprinklers would reach that far. When he turned the sprinklers on to show me, they were not working and the water just shot straight up in the air like a geyser! No way it would water more than 3 inches past the sprinkler! I pointed out that a few sprinklers were too close to the pavers and stone and he told me they could be moved, he would move them when i hired him again to put sod in. Then he left, with 650.00 of my money, saying over and over that he could always fix it, that he would fix them later, he could move them around if i wanted, he would do it later, and my sprinkler system DOES. NOT. WORK. He never installed one new sprinkler. Ladies, beware. Salvador is the owner and he has no honor, no integrity, and will lie while overcharging you. He's fine with that. It's how he rolls.
