It's small park but it has a nice little kids and slightly older kids play area. There is nice shade from lots of tall trees.

Splendid little park with 2 free public BBQ grills with about 5 picnic tables, and a fully equipped playground with slides and swings. Plenty of parking on the street. Nice green landscape with plenty of shade from the trees.

Current challenges of this lovely park is the high school kids who like to leave trash on the ground after 3pm.

We walked to the Pier, they have 1 pit toilet we used. Had tp and hand sanitizer. Lots of folks fishing at the pier around 1pm. I asked one guy catch anything he said No. Then we hiked Bull Valley Trail, Carquinez Overlook Loop and back to car. About 2.02 miles. Nice views and about 4 benches I saw and 2 picnic tables at a view point.

Over the past year, I've been walking my way along San Pablo Bay first around Point Pinole and most recently the San Pablo Bay Regional Trail from Richmond to Rodeo. I've made my way eastward and found this area between Martinez and Port Costa. The centerpiece is the fully paved, car-free George Miller Trail. It winds its way along the hills that hug the coast of the Carquinez Strait. The bicyclists sped by but not that many, and foot traffic was fairly minimal. The views were quite pleasant with Benicia and the Benicia-Martinez Bridge in constant view. I walked further on Carquinez Scenic Drive, a real road but remote and quiet, in order to get to Port Costa. There was a nice short-cut through some pastoral hills where a cow or two would occasionally show up on the path. Definitely worth finding your way here. RELATED - Up for a hike? The dancing sprinkler play stations accompanied by the foam bath was fun for the big and little, part of the Dinosaur Event. The various activities for the Dinosaur Event, spread throughout the day, kept the littles engaged. What a great event and time had! Our little lasted the entirety of the event time 12-4p ending it with a bag of popcorn and an ice cream from the truck.

The entrance is like walking through a castle to a whole new world gated inside. It was clean, grassy, huge and open spaces with different areas to play for the kids. There are benches and picnic tables everywhere too. They also have restrooms on site too. Lots of grassy and shady areas to hang out as well. Our grandbaby had a great time running everywhere to her hearts content and she cannot wait to go back again with her parents.
