The environment is welcoming, and they have made significant progress since the pandemic in attracting and featuring an inclusive and diverse slate of theatre artists. Wellmont Theater is a great concert venue if you live on this side of the river and don't feel like…read morecrossing a bridge into the city. It's a manageable size, there are parking garage options nearby, and plenty of food within walking distance. The venue is small enough that there really isn't a bad seat in the house -- unless you end up next to a bad patron. Sightlines are solid throughout. Sound quality was good, and security did a great job managing the walkways and handling crowd surfers when they were dropped up front. A couple downsides: there are not enough bathrooms. During breaks, the lines stretched out the door, down the hallway, and across the width of the theater. The seats are also extremely tight. Tickets are reasonably priced, so next time I may just buy two per person for a little extra space. They do have adequate bars, though drinks are pricey. Bottled water is $4, and they won't provide a cup of water (I had to buy one so my daughter could take medicine). Overall, still a really solid venue and one I'd return to -- just plan ahead for bathroom lines and tight seating.

Briana was so kind and wonderful on the phone. I called on a Sunday and she pulled the potential sizes ahead of time. Originally, I was not going to bring my son. Briana encouraged me to bring him in order to have him try them on in person. I am so glad I listened! My ETA was 12:01pm and the store was due to close at noon. Briana said no worries, she would stay in order for me to try the shoes on. WOW! By the time we found parking it was 12:05pm we scored a great spot a block away) and we called Briana to advise we were walking up now. She was so sweet; so personable and assured us that she would stay open for us to arrive. Turns out my son was a larger and wider size and Briana had just the size and width that we needed! She was absolutely lovely! We plan to enroll in a class because she is amazing and the school is wonderful too! Thank you Briana for your exceptional customer service!

When my daughter wanted to start tap lessons, she was a little older than most kids and she didn't want to be in a beginner class with all 6 year olds.  BPA had a beginner adult/teen class that was perfect.  She learned so much with Mark in one year she skipped a level the next year. My daughter loved it here so much she would get up early on Saturdays to help out as an assistant in a dance class for the little kids before her own ballet class. Elisa and Mark are professionals from Broadway, TV and film so they are very talented and are excellent teachers but also have a warm and fun environment.   My daughter is in college now training to be an actor and I know Elisa and Mark's teaching and encouragement helped her make it to college

Our personal concern--and this may not matter to other parents--was that my daughter spoke less about the class itself and more about why some of the male instructors were dressed in ways that confused her at her age. Explaining to her why males were dressed as women was not what I wanted to do at this age. While I respect personal lifestyle choices, I personally prefer an environment where my young child's focus is fully on the class and music rather than these kinds of distractions. Overall, the teaching quality seemed good, but this particular aspect made me realize the school may not be the right fit for our family
