It costs you time, stress, energy, frustration, and eventually you find yourself paying to fix the same problem all over again. At this point in my life, I'd rather pay for premium service and get premium results. I brought my 2003 H3 Hummer, to Alonso Transmission, and that's exactly what I experienced. Excellent work. Excellent hospitality. They went through my truck and actually found things I didn't even realize could become problems. What impressed me even more was that they didn't use those things as an opportunity to run up my bill. They explained everything, took care of what needed attention, and on other things told me not to worry about it. That's how you earn somebody's trust. Anyone can sell you a repair. Finding people you trust enough to hand them your keys and know they're going to do what's right for you is something completely different, and now that they have a full auto repair shop on the same block, I feel like I finally found something I've been looking for for years in South Florida: one place I can trust and rely on for all of my vehicle needs. Could I possibly find somebody somewhere to do something cheaper? Probably. I'm not looking for the cheapest anymore. I'm looking for the best value. Because I've learned that price is what you pay. The real cost is what happens afterward. Alonso Transmission earned my trust with my Silverado, and they've earned my business going forward. When you finally find people who do great work and you can actually trust, you hold onto them.

When I brought it back once again still shifting terribly, Ralph then said he'll put me on "a list" if I didn't pay for more "repairs". Huh? My experience was an entire scam. Had a burnt clutch on my Mustang, told them I wanted a Mcleod Clutch and they told me to order it…read more I did, dropped it off and they said they would take care of it. Got my car back and it ran like crap. Felt like a cable was slapping around, back up lights did not work (They did prior) and the clutch chattered a lot. They told me to let the clutch slip and it would wear down. Brought it to Bob's Automotive in Sunrise. They told me the transmission mount was ruptured, the transmission was only held in with three bolts, the throw out bearing was never changed and my clutch cable was extremely loose. The pressure plate was warped and the back up switch was damaged. Had to re-pay to have the transmission done again. Car runs great now. I also paid less for a new clutch and labor then Gold Coast charged me for just labor...so not a good experience.

Yesterday, my car's transmission got stuck in second gear and the check engine light came on. I took my car back to the same shop, not under warranty, so they could tell me what was wrong with it and how much would cost to fix. I was preparing myself to get the bad news. They check my car and found they only had to replace a sensor and a fuse. They quickly fix my car and charged me under $40. Nice to know there is a mechanic's shop that is honest and knows what they are doing. If you have a problem with a transmission, I would highly recommend this shop.
