They are efficient and they are even courteous. After I paid for the job, I was warmly thanked by the owner and founder. Every employee was warm and friendly. They valued the fact that I chose their company. They finished the job the same day. When I first asked for an estimate, the owner came out to see my driveway and talk with me, a few hours after my call. He scheduled the work in two weeks. I have a number of houses and this is the second time I hired Austin Conrete Construction. Their work was done without any problems or mistakes. If I had a hundred properties, I would hire them for every one of them. Their price is also reasonable.

Recently completed the build of a new house but realized after the build, we had additional needs…read morefor concrete; we wanted a pad to build a shed and another pad for a generator. Along with that, we widened parts of our driveway the original builder didn't take note of. I had seen them working in my neighborhood so I figured they would be dependable and do a good job. And as a Veteran, I prefer to work with other Veterans. The day I emailed, I received a reply and it was easy to set up an appointment for someone to come out and assess what I wanted. I received the bid and after approving the job, the very next day they were out and going to work! They come with a team and immediately went to work marking out the areas. All in all, I had six separate concrete jobs and they worked day and night the first two days to get it all set up for the concrete pour. I have conduits running through my current driveway to run electrical and some landscaping irrigation and they were great about making sure to extend the existing conduits with the new concrete so I could still use them. And for the shed concrete pad, they put in a conduit so I could run electrical underground into the shed instead of through a wall or the roof. The day of the pour, they arrived early and went right to it. It was a full day of work for the multiple projects but they managed to get it all done. And after the concrete had set, they came back and took away all the framing, cleaned up the area and aside from the new concrete pads, you would never even know they were here. Fast, professional and amazing work. Easy to schedule and keep in touch with. While others might tell you they are booked out for months at a time, I was able to get mine done relatively quick. I HIGHLY recommend them. I tried contacting the original contractor who did our driveway, but even after talking to the builder, they wouldn't return calls. But with Cogbill, they are great at communicating with you and will do whatever to make sure you are satisfied. If you are in need of a concrete project, you glad you contacted Cogbill's.

I called Todd to build a cement block wall based on a recommendation from a neighbor. He was responsive at first and started quickly, but to my detriment I ignored a few red flags, including dodging my direct question before signing about the footing depth by telling me to read the testimonials on the website. I don't think Todd has ever done masonry. He seems to be a shrewd business person who connects customers to subcontractors without holding them to any uniform standard. The footing for this 57-foot long, 8-foot high wall was excavated and poured in a single day. It was 9 inches (yes, 9!!) out of level, not stepped but following the grade of the lot, and sloppy. When I confronted, Todd referred me to the heads of the crew. With some language barriers, they described only minor adjustments to "level" each block. They must have planned to lay them in snaky courses, either hoping the stucco would hide their sloppy work or not even having that much of a plan. Keep in mind we are talking about isometric, rectangular cement block, not natural stone. Furthermore, the footing was only 12 inches wide and went about 11 inches below grade to support a straight, heavy, 8-foot tall wall. I believe that I prevented a catastrophic failure down the road by cancelling the whole project. I'm out $6600 for the footing alone, as that was the best offer I got from Todd to cancel the whole thing. Now have a cedar fence where my sound wall was intended to go, after paying to core into the footing to set posts. To his credit, Todd did offer to demo the footing and start over. I was afraid to go forward with that approach for a host of reasons. It was going to be disruptive, damaging to my property, and time-consuming, all to the end of letting the same crew that screwed it up in the first place have another go at it. Sometimes you just have to suck up the sunk cost and move on. My biggest mistake by far on this project was hiring Austin Stucco and Masonry. I took a video of the footing against a level line, but Yelp is no longer allowing videos, so these snapshots are taken from the video and are not as clear as they would be otherwise.

In addition to stucco repair work, they installed new stucco on a wall that had siding that was in need of repair. At the end of the job they confirmed with me that all work was completed to my satisfaction before considering the job done. Everyone I interacted with was very pleasant. All-in-all a great company to work with. I will absolutely use them again for future projects.
