Their process seemed a little too good to be true. After getting various quotes from a range of others, the price was all over the place from too cheap to extraordinarily expensive. Dr. Wheel is on the lower side of the equation. The other thing, they come to your house. Say what? Got me wondering how solid of a repair we were looking at. Well, once I dug into the process, saw that the work is warranted for a year, I figured I'd give them a shot. First, we had them do two aftermarket wheels which relatively minor damage. The result was pretty incredible. The wheels looked good as new and honestly, I couldn't remember where the blemishes were . Months later the wheels looked great. Today, we got four wheels on my wife's car done, all with curb rash to a varying degree and the result was great. The challenge today wasn't the damage, it actually wasn't super complex or extensive. It was the color. From the factory, the color is pretty unique, but the Dr. Wheel team got it pretty much exactly. A special shout out to Jonathan, who came out to our house twice and did a great job. Friendly, professional, thorough, and just an all around solid dude. Not that I hope to get more curb rash on any of our wheels (nor do I wish that for you!), but if we do, we will definitely go back to them. We've already referred them to a few neighbors.

Tesla's response? Blame the driving conditions, even though the tire itself had no damage and it was pretty clear the crack wasn't new. Then they quoted us over $600 for a replacement rim with mounting and balancing. Ouch. Thankfully, Salinas Tire pointed us to 1-800-EveryRim, and I'm glad they did. Ralph was outstanding. The repair came out great and it took around two days. Tony came to my house and picked up the wheel. Unfortunately the paint correction did not match the rim and also my tire was leaking where the repair was made (it wasn't leaking even when the rim was dented). So I contacted Tony again to see what he can do. He said the paint came off the machine and that's what it analyzed it as and was willing to do it again so I said sure since the paint came out black instead of blue. He also offered to check on the tire and rebead the seal. So he picked up the wheel again, and this time it took almost two weeks to be done with the repair and this was only the tire portion. He advised that the paint correction would take another couple of days. Honestly just wanted the wheel back since I was out of a car for two weeks already and who knows how much longer it would take to get the wheel back. He came and dropped it off and installed the wheel and the tire is holding air for now, but he did recommend me to just get a new tire if it leaks again which I will do. This time though, when I got the wheel back, it had a new chip near the center which wasn't there before from the original pick up nor the first repair. As far as value and convenience of picking up and delivering goes, I'd say it's fair and beats the competitors. Otherwise, I wasn't too thrilled about the repair. Remember to always ask if bringing in your own parts is okay, because not all shops will allow it and not all shops will warranty the part/labor either. You must respect what the shop says/does.

I had been looking to fix the TPMS on my 2012 Toyota Rav4 for over a year and had been turned off by the estimates I received from the Toyota dealership and Pepboys, my two go-to options for the maintenance and repair needs for my two old cars (I also have a 2008 Toyota Yaris). I felt the price quoted to me was not worth the value of having working TPMS sensors, so I was just resigned to having the TPMS lights turned on for as long as I had the vehicle (which I intend to keep for life). For some reason, I thought I'd give it one last try and I found GTS on Yelp. They were very responsive when I first asked for an estimate and it was much, much lower than what Toyota and Pepboys quoted. So I went ahead with the service, and when they found out that one of the sensors was still working, they told me it didn't need to be replaced and thus brought down the cost even more. They worked on it very quickly so I was able to just wait in their very comfortable and air-conditioned lounge until they were done. I was extremely happy with my overall experience! I believe they also do other auto repair and maintenance work so I will try those out in the future. Not only did they fix the rim (any shop can do that) they rechromed it so that you couldn't tell where they had fixed it. Seriously, the rim looks brand NEW. And, ladies and gentlemen, the price...oohhhhh wee, the price is what will keep me coming back for more. One hint. If you're gonna take them a rim, make sure you take the tire off. They don't have a machine to so that and the people around them will gouge you to take the tire off. One guy wanted twenty bucks to take off a wheel!

I was told one wheel needed a125 reseal, and another just needed a 25 corrosion cleanup. A few days later, I got a call that the second wheel also needed a reseal. During that phone call, I made a mistake. It was early, I was taking care of my baby, and I quickly said, so it's gonna be 300. He agreed. Later, I realized that didn't match the original pricing. Two reseals at 125 each should have been 250. When I picked up the wheels and brought this up, instead of a professional conversation, I was met with hostility. There was no written estimate to reference and rather than discussing the misunderstanding, I was argued with and spoken to disrespectfully in front of other customers. I was basically told they didn't want my business anymore. I own a business myself, and when misunderstandings happen, I focus on resolving them respectfully, even if I think I'm right, because customer service matters. I paid the 250 because that's what I understood to be correct based on the original pricing. My issue isn't the 50 dollars, it's how I was treated. Respectful communication goes a long way. I won't be returning. Update: When I dropped off the wheels, I watched him write on a notepad125 for a reseal and 25 for corrosion cleanup. Later, when told the wheel didn't need corrosion but wheel needed a re-seal, I mistakenly said300 on the phone.
