The facility seems nice but the staff is all over the place. After waiting 1.5 hour in the lobby room, they told us to go to the rooms which were not yet cleaned! We told them that they were used and they took another 30 min to clean and set up. Then when we laid in the room, we waited for another 30 min for a total of 2.5 hours. We had a dinner reservation for mother's Day and had to push it twice to fit this booking in. The worst part is we got zero apologies and when I complained the representative told me to stop asking and go back in the room. They didn't seem to care about our bad experience being so delayed in the least. Totally appaling experience.

The scalp massage itself was great--the staff member who worked on me was skilled, and I felt relaxed throughout the entire process. I also really liked the bathroom decor, which added a nice touch to the overall experience. However, communication was a challenge. None of the staff spoke strong English, and there wasn't any visual guide or video to help explain the scalp analysis. It made it difficult to fully understand the results and recommendations. I ended up purchasing a scalp spray for $40, which I was told was 50% off from $80. I'm not entirely sure how accurate that was, especially after noticing the expiration date is October 2026--it left me a bit unsure about the value. In total, I paid around $180 including tip, which feels quite expensive for the experience. Overall, it's a relaxing treat, but probably more of an occasional self-care splurge rather than something I'd do regularly.

Ok I've seen these negative comments and I had a gift certificate from the previous owners who sold like 2 years ago (2017) and 6 months after the new owners opened a NEW spa they honored my GC which quite honestly they didn't have to. They didn't collect the money for the services I was gifted. The previous owners were well aware of their dishonesty they sold GC that they were not going to be around to honor. They took they money and left. That the current spa honored these GC for 6 months after the previous owner took the MONEY was a choice and a sign of goodwill. After my initial visit I have gone back many times and Lena and Alex are great!!! It's unfortunate that the previous occupants took the money and ran but seriously how is this the current occupants fault?? I have had GREAT messages by Alex and will continue patronizing this establishment. It is serene, clean, and they are highly professional. I also gifted GC this past holiday 2018 to my friends and they have all been happy with the services. To use YELP as a platform to hurt a business that has shown goodwill towards a situation that they did not cause is not only unfair but misplaced. Is anyone going to former Waldbaums locations trying to redeem rain checks? Same thing. Seriously people should take a look at what their issue is and get over it. These people at Alex and Company are providing a great service in the community are an independent small business we should support our small business not try to tear them down. read more

Alex and Co Massage Spa is THE PLACE to go for all your health and beauty treatments here in Whitestone/Bayside! I have been going since last fall and averaging about once a month for a deep tissue massage. Each time I go I am 110% happy with their services. Alex, the masseur, is excellent. I have enjoyed his massages. He really helps me loosen up my lower back pain and has resolved my neck and shoulder pain that I have had for a very long time. I truly feel rejuvenated and completely recharged after having a massage there. The spa is immaculate, the staff is amazing, Lena, the receptionist, is very pleasant and is accommodating to my busy schedules, but most importantly, Alex is THE ONE that can help you feel re-energized. He can really help anyone with back pain. This man really listens to your concerns and is so dedicated in making his customers happy. Not only does this spa offer facials and body scrubs, but botox, microblading and velashape. They now have become a boutique spa. I am very pleased to have them in my neighborhood. It's definitely worth a try here. You're not going to want to go anywhere else. read more

Just want to share my wonderful experience at Alex & Co Massage Spa. As soon as I walked in the door I felt a sense of peace and serenity. Their beautiful hostess, Lena, welcomed me with a big beautiful smile. The spa is so clean with a very aromatic scent. I went for a 1 hour massage with Alex and he is the BEST. My stress melted away and I felt like a new woman upon leaving. I have also had facials there, which are just as awesome. Some people even commented on how good I looked. That's always nice to hear!!! They have many other services as well. And they are always running specials. Christmas is right around the corner and what a great gift to give someone you love. I know because my daughter always buys me gift certificates there. Always my favorite gift. If you have not been there yet, you really should try it. 10-28 154 Street in Whitestone (718) 767-7049 Margaret read more

I just left here not more than an hour ago and had to compliment the staff and the spa. First off, Alex and his wife are the nicest and friendliest people. I was relaxed from the moment that I walked through the door until I left. I was given a "mini-vacation for him" package. So we started with my facial. The technician was very sweet and my face came out feeling like silk. Magical. Alex is quiet an awesome masseuse and also very friendly. My body felt like a million dollars after he finished. Before me my wife received a pre-natal massage, and Alex just did the trick, making her feel so much more comfortable. I plan on coming back soon! read more

I had a gift certificate for the previous spa at this location, Body & Mind. I was never impressed with B&M bedside manner. However, the new owners are fantastic. They let both my mother and I use our B&M certificates at Alex & Co as a kindness, they were professional and friendly. The spa is clean and welcoming. I had gotten my massage by Alex, a true pro!
