Claims the burners would not work correctly whatever that means. Offered up a replacement furnace for $5K. Dad needs heat because after all he is 90. I set up an additional service provider as anyone would to get a competitive price and additional opinion. After their review they concluded that Polar's tech did a very poor job of cleaning and even worse job diagnosing the issue. It needed a thermostat...a G D thermostat and not a new furnace. Well the new company replaced the thermostat and all is well. Except for the epic miss for a seasoned veteran HVAC tech from Polar....one that should not occur. Makes me wonder if he was trying to take advantage of my 90 year old veteran father. That could never happen could it??? Seems odd though. This just reinforces my belief that there are very few service providers that can be trusted. Beware and stay clear of this hot mess of a company.

I have changed it before (over 20 yrs) but couldn't get the screw out and now the cartridge had slid around to where cold was hot and hot was cold. Didn't have the stones or parts to just start cutting things off and i live with 3 women who weren't going to put up with the only shower being out of order for long. Called Szabo plumbing around 5 pm on a friday night. The next morning Joe, from Szabo, sent me a text message and told me not to fear. No walls were going to be opened and he would take fine care of me. Even sent me pictures of other jobs he had done. He arrived about an hour later and had me kill the water to the house. About 45 minutes to maybe an hour later, I not only had a new cartridge installed, but also a new escutcheon plate, pull handle and a new fully functioning shower diverter. I paid for the work done, you can't get quality work and expect to pay discount prices. Joe's work was professional and beyond and trust me, Szabo plumbing and Joe's contact info got saved to my contact list. I now have a recommendation if someone asks me: "Do you know a good plumber?" With that said, the crew didn't take any shortcuts and made sure that the task was completed properly and in a very timely manner.
