Their representative came to our house in Coarsegold and helped develop a comprehensive system that included alarm sensors on all doors and windows in our 2400 square foot home including four motion sensors in the house, and 9 cameras around the property for full video coverage of the exterior, a door bell that calls our cell phone and gives us a visual of who is at the door and the ability to talk with the visitor without having to be at the door, from anywhere in the world. They installed four cameras at our shop which is 300 feet from the main house and a motion sensor inside to trip the alarm when anyone enters the building. All 13 cameras are monitored at the main house with a DVR to record up to 3 months before looping on the hard drive, which means we have continuous coverage of any activity on the property at all times. The system was installed professionally by qualified technicians who showed great care and knowledge in their workmanship. Prevention also monitors our alarm system and calls us immediately on our cell phones when the alarm is set off. They also call law enforcement in the event they cannot reach us. I like the "Duress" code on our in house keypad in the event we are being forced to disarm the alarm by intruders, The "Duress" code stops the alarm bell but still notifies Prevention monitoring that we are in trouble and they call law enforcement immediately without the intruders being aware. During the visit, the technician told me the system needed refrigerant and explained that my home warranty policy would only cover $10 per pound. I told them I wanted to do some research before approving any additional charges. That's when the real problem started. The phone number listed for the company appears to go straight to voicemail, and despite multiple calls during the hours they instructed me to call, I never received a callback. After repeated failed attempts to reach them, I contacted American Home Shield and requested a different contractor because I could not get anyone from Clovis Heating and Cooling to respond. I was then informed by American Home Shield that Clovis Heating and Cooling had already closed my claim and classified it as a pre-existing condition. This was shocking, especially considering I had been actively trying to contact them and had received no communication explaining that decision. In the end, I paid for a service visit, got no meaningful follow-up, couldn't reach anyone at the company, and had my claim closed without any discussion. The lack of communication and customer service was unacceptable. If you're considering using this company, be prepared for unanswered calls, unreturned voicemails, and a potentially frustrating experience. I will say their receptionists were great at the initial booking for an estimator to come out. I had to reschedule once due to a work conflict. The estimator was able to come out and take a look at our master bathroom. They had asked what my budget was which I explained was $25K- I understand what I asked for was more than this and they were vocal about that. I asked them to prepare two quotes for me: one for the complete master remodel and then one for the master along with the hall bathroom so I could compare and save up more money. My estimator let me know since it was close to NYE the office would follow up on the 5th to provide me with a quote. The 5th comes around and I don't hear anything back- no worries. I called that Wednesday and the receptionist informed me they were still working on the quote and asked if I could come down in person to review the estimate bc it can be "overwhelming". Understandable, as a sales person myself I would want the client in person to explain and talk numbers to get the project going- I booked a time for Jan 14 to go down in person. Since I am a working mom, I had meetings that overlapped with this last minute and called on the 13th to ask if they would be willing to go over the quote with me via zoom or virtual bc I couldn't leave work. They said they don't usually do that but that they'd talk to my estimator and get back to me the next day. Wednesday the 14th comes around and they called me at 2:11 to say they don't provide quotes over the phone and tried to rebook me to come down in person. I politely declined. If I'm being honest I feel like they didn't even bother to try to accommodate me with the virtual request. If that's your policy then fine but I will say it's hard for a working mom to schedule time during work hours and I wish you would offer options to work with a prospective client.
