The decor throughout is well kept and love the touch of baños and cocina over the prospective areas. One of my personal favorites is the Tex Mex Combination options. You can choose 1-5 items with a side of rice and beans on the dinner menu. If you go during lunch time until 3pm there is a reduced priced Tex Mex Combo menu with the choice of rice or beans. The Tex mex combo options include, but not limited to: tacos, enchiladas, flautas. My pictures show two of the Tex mex options ordered at our table. The one plate shows a Tex Mex 4-item: 2 flautas, 2 soft tacos, with rice and beans. The other plate shown is the pictures is: Tex mex combo 4- item: 4 enchiladas topped with jalapeño cream sauce including rice and beans. My personal favorite is 4 enchiladas: one chicken, one cheese, one beef, and one creamy seafood topped Jalapeño cream sauce. The jalapeño cream sauce is a must try. The sauce does have a jalapeño kick to it and may be spicier at various times. The longhorn colby queso dip is absolutely amazing. I highly highly highly recommend you ask for the queso to be extra hot (temperature wise). Just a tip: just because there is steam coming from the queso at the table doesn't mean it's hot to taste. Test with a chip or fork. The chips are phenomenal especially the saturated seasoned ones. Staff is always friendly and willing to give recommendations. I can say I don't think I've had a server who hasn't liked or been able to recommend a favorite. Panchos Southwestern Grille is a twist on Mexican food. We got birria tacos with beans and rice. I'm a fan of beans and they seasoned theirs well. The rice was a bit overcooked but it tasted fine. I don't 'know what happened in the last two years but the results are tragic. I'll start with the chips and salsa. The chips are pre-packgaged and stale. Not the fresh chips I remember. They are just heavy in your stomach. The salsa was still decent. I ordered the enchilada place, two beef enchiladas rice and beans. The rice and beans on point. Beans are still slow-simmered and yummy. The rice is light, fluffy and flavorful. However my enchiladas were another story. The meat was bland. There were no onions or spices in the ground beef. It was just boiled meat wrapped in a tortilla. The sauce it was downright awful. It was gelatinous and sweet. Enchilada sauce is not supposed to be sweet but spicy blend of saucy deliciousness. It was not. I thought maybe it was just me, so I made other people at the table try it. You know "here this tastes awful try it" routine. They all agreed, no bueno. I couldn't even eat it. Everyone kept telling me to tell the waitress but I felt bad. I mean its not their fault I don't like it. So I ate all my beans, rice and a ton of the mediocre chips and salsa. When the waitress noticed I did not eat my enchiladas she asked why. I told her I didn't like the sauce, so she offered me anything else that I wanted no charge. I got the enchiladas suizas (chicken enchiladas with green chili sauce) to go. Ate them the next day for lunch and they were delicious, flavorful and good. Service still amazing!
