At the time it really never occurred to me to do a yelp review for an auto mechanic. This is long over due. We would always take our cars to the dealership for any type of service. And never thought twice about it. In September of 2022, we had an issue with our Lincoln MKC where the engine light kept coming on. Like clockwork we took it to the local Lincoln dealership in Westlake , where we purchased it from in 2016. At the time this was happening there was around 60k miles on the car. After doing some initial online research about why the engine light would come on, the thought was something that it could be fixed with it not being too costly. After going to the dealership to diagnose and attempt to fix the car, we got an astonishing diagnosis. Per the dealership the engine needed to be replaced!!! Upon getting this news I was stunned. How in the world a car that was maintained well with only 60k miles need a new engine that was 6 years old??? Expressing my frustration with the dealership they did not offer any alternate solutions except to give a "discount" on being a valued customer the last 6 years. The original quote for a new engine was close to 8k and with our "valued customer discount" they took it down to 7k. Still digesting this information I was in shock that this was the only option or having to get a new vehicle. Now, the good part. Once I came to the realization of this, I started asking family & friends about any local mechanics they use that are trustworthy & honest for a second opinion. I got Willie's Garage information and made an appointment for them to have a look. Around $800 total the car was fixed!!!!! Ever since that , we do not take our cars anywhere else for service. Today we sold the MKC. It was bitter sweet as it was a reliable vehicle for the 8 years we had it. Thank you to Willie's for having an alternate option on repairing the vehicle two years ago. In today's environment I find it challenging encountering businesses that have their customers best interest in mind and not their profit. Willie's has made a life long customer out me & my family. Good work, honest service and more than reasonable prices for repairs. If you are looking for a good mechanic I highly recommend going to Willie's!

They put the donut spare on for her and since they didn't have her tire in stock they would mount it on the rim when it came in the following day, call her when it was done, and she could stop when it was convenient for her. They showed and explained to her why her tire wasn't repairable. We left my truck for a tire repair, an hour later I was called and the tire was repaired. I went in to pay, and they did it at no charge. Apparently their policy is if the tire is repairable they repair it for free. They have definitely won my business.

I decided to wait on the repair as I considered how to pay for it. After a couple of days spent pondering what to do, I decided to get some other repair quotes for comparison. My first stop was at Rick Yusi Automotive, who was referred to me by a friend plus their reviews were impressive. Not only was the repair quote less than half the cost of the original quote, but they did an amazing job replacing these critical safety parts. Additionally, while researching a check engine light warning, they discovered my gas cap was defective. Rocky called to tell me it might be the reason for the warning and asked if I wanted him to replace it. I told him to replace the gas cap and sure enough, no more check engine light. I expected that it would be an overnight turn around for the repair, given how busy they were, but imagine my surprise after dropping my car off in the morning to receive a call that it was finished by early afternoon. It's very hard to find service like this at such a great price. This will definitely be my new auto repair shop. I highly recommend Rick Yusi Automative for any and all repairs! They Rock!! The son Rocky does what is quick and will only put a Band-Aid on the situation but won't keep your car in good shape. I am very disappointed to have been a customer for so long to now having to find another mechanic. Rocky had just completed a brake job a few months ago to tell me that it needed it again. Rocky told me something on my car was damaging the brake pad but couldn't/didn't tell me what. He did replace the brake pad but did not correct the issue. I don't have confidence anymore in the repairs that this shop does. I will not be returning to this shop.

I needed an oil change and a few other small things inspected, and had some free time on Christmas Eve before the family festivities, so I decided to stop in a little before noon. The guy at the desk greeted me and asked what I needed done. I told him, and he said even though they were attempting to close around noon, he would fit me in. I sat in the very comfortable waiting area (plush leather couches, nice rugs, a couple TVs and tons of magazines) for about 45 minutes total while they worked on my car. The guy I had checked in with made sure to come out and update me that my oil change would be a little more than expected due to some fancy Honda oil my new car requires. I am no car expert, so I had to trust what he said, but he seemed to be very genuine and earnest. I also appreciated him checking with me rather than just doing it and billing me more later. When my car was ready, the same guy checked me out and gave me some helpful information on the other items I needed inspected. He could have just tried to sell me things, but rather, he told me to check in with my dealership first and if they could not help, to come back and he'd give me a good price. He also gave me a customized Rad Air chocolate bar made by Olympia down the road - silly, but nice touch! I left feeling satisfied and positive.
