I tried the Brunch Burger with no aioli sauce, and it was so good! It came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. I also got a flight, and it was really good, especially on a hot day. One thing I really liked was that it's within walking distance from the train station, which made it super convenient. Overall, we had a great experience, and I'd definitely come back.

We still wanted to at least try a slushy to go. The slushy service was quick for it being so busy, we got our slushies pretty fast and headed to our next stop, but the slushes just weren't our favorites either. The Honey Lavender Lemonade flavor had no other flavor than just vodka. The Strawberry Amaretto Shortcake was ok, it was just so sugary that there wasn't much flavor other than overpowering sweetness. The price was definitely a little high too for what we got in the end for two medium-sized slushes. The vibe seemed cute, so we want to come back and give it another shot one day for the food at least! Maybe some different slush flavors too.

We had the cream spinach, Brussels sprouts and salads. Everyone raved. The pork chop had the perfect amount of fat and it was just amazing. I picked up my bone and chewed on it. The brussels sprouts were remarkable as well. The wedge salad was great. The drinks were great. The service was great. I look forward to going back! I have to be honest I know it's a steakhouse, but I highly highly highly recommend the bone in pork chop.

Good experience but a little underwhelming given hype and price point…read more My husband and I had been excited to try Hamilton's given our love of steakhouses and interest in trying some special bourbons. Service: We were sat in the Bourbon room, I'm not sure I'd choose this again. There are 6 tables in there and the waiter has to go very far to get to the kitchen. We never saw him not moving but it seemed that all 6 of the tables were in a similar place of ordering good and drinks with two large groups. This meant we often had to wait awhile to place orders, get food and drinks and bread, had to ask a couple time for somethings. Perhaps better experience in main dining room where the waiters may be less hard worked or better if they staggered out the reservations in this room more. Our waiter was nevertheless very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Drinks: We were very excited about the bourbon list, particularly the reserve bourbons. First, husband got the Garrison Brothers Single Barrel and me an Old Forrester 1920 in a mint julep. One disappointing thing for that was that the reserve bourbon pour was served in a huge glass with full to top with several restaurant standard ice cubes -- this meant the first sip was fantastic of this great bourbon but very soon the bourbon was very watery. We were shocked for a place like this to serve a high quality bourbon this way, often we enjoy this with one large square ice cube. Our next pour we got neat, which is what you need to do here. My mint julep on the other hand was great! Next we tried Blanters neat and Duckhorn from the Coravin system. Food: For the food we ordered the scallops to start, Hamilton farm greens, wedge salad and porterhouse to share with twice backed potato and seasonal vegetable. Potato bread was also provided with a garlic butter, it was delicious. Finished with a cheesecake. Everything was pretty good, nothing blew me away. Bread may have been my favorite given its uniqueness as a potato bread. The porterhouse was cooked fairly differently throughout the meat ranging from medium rare to well done, may be a challenge inherent to porterhouses. Twice baked potato was good and reminiscent of home cooking. Cheesecake was a nice finish with Dubai chocolate inspired toppings.

One example - they update their extensive wine list on what seems to be a frequent basis. Another thing I appreciated was that the wait staff explains each special including the price. That is the way it should be. Don't the customer ask the price (esp if you are in business of customer service). When the hostess seated us she wished me happy birthday. The waitress also told me to save room for apple pie and their special cinnamon ice cream. What a nice treat! It was delicious. But then again everything was delicious. We had the smoked seafood appetizer- wow !!! Loved it. For my meal I got one of their seafood specials: grouper served with green beans and mashed potatoes. Fabulous! My husband loved his meatloaf. Personally I would prefer a PBJ sandwich over meatloaf but hey, his meal. I hadn't noticed previously that they have 2 bars. They are back to back. One can sit at bar for dining too. A benefit of sitting at a table is the ability to talk freely because tables are well spaced with substantial dividers between them.

Our server Abby was amazing!!! She was so kind and helpful. Very patient with us. We were slow to choose what we wanted. Everything sounded so good. We settled on the clam chowder for an appetizer which we both just adored and the house ground meatloaf for our entrée which we shared. We each got a huge piece of meatloaf and some mashed potatoes and summer squash. There was a small plate splitting fee, which was absolutely appropriate. My wife and I agreed it's probably the best meatloaf we've ever had. Delicious!!! Abby was kind enough to gift us a piece of apple pie with the first taste of cinnamon ice cream either of us have ever had. It was made by a local creamery and was divine. We are still talking about that ice cream. The interior seems rustic, like an old Irish or English pub. So very cool. What a lovely experience and a total gem for anyone who lives in the area. We went next-door to the little store and bought a few things as well. We cannot wait to return to Annie Gunn's!
