I generally find this branch of Aldi's pretty good. The only problem with it is the usual problem with Aldi - you can't go in there and reliably find any item that was there last week. I guess that's the reason they can provide decent quality at a remarkably cheap price - because they go after, wholesale, whatever is a good bargain, rather than paying the market price for a fixed shopping list.
And if you're prepared to do you own shopping (on a much smaller scale) according to the same principle, then Aldi's is a great place to go. I find the selection of cheap wine especially good for cheapskates like myself: at the price I'm willing to pay I'm usually choosing from between five or so bottles at regular supermarkets. At Aldi it's more like ten or fifteen in my price range.
I can live with a few gaps on my shopping list for the sake of that. read more
