The car park is free for customers. However, after making payment at counter, the customers' needs to make entry of car registration number on t the display screen next to exit door. Regrettably, it appears that during this process, there might have been an error on my part--I may have inadvertently entered an old car registration number or, worse yet, forgotten to input the details entirely. Upon receiving a notice of car parking charges from the rental company, I promptly lodged an appeal, attaching proof of my shopping receipt from ASM as evidence of my visit. Despite providing this concrete evidence, which unequivocally verifies my presence at your store during the specified time, my appeal was callously overruled. This unjust dismissal of my appeal, despite furnishing proof of purchase, suggests a blatant disregard for customer goodwill and fairness.

ASM Cash & Carry is a surprisingly large Indian grocery store in the style of Worldwide Foods in…read moreRusholme, although ASM has the added attraction of a sari shop under the same roof! All the usual favourites are there, the dhals, rices, spices and speciality fruit & veg and fresh herbs. So if you are in Ashton experiencing hunger pangs for okra or yam or a big bunch of coriander leaf or fenugreek or a box of honey mangoes - ASM Cash & Carry are your people! On this visit, I discovered some different poppadum makes and varieties - including one incorporating fenugreek leaf which I can't wait to try! A plus for me is that this place appears to be totally vegetarian, and that would make sense as the adjacent Indian café-restaurant is called Lily's Vegetarian - I think Lily's is owned by the same people. The staff are really sweet, and the atmosphere is understandably a bit less hurried than Rusholme equivalents. I will definitely visit ASM when I'm in the area, and any Ashton foodie worth their salt should be a regular visitor!

The store its-self, is quite large but in general isn't a really nice place to shop due to the decor and color scheme, they even charge 5p for a bag here despite not being a large enough store with over 200 employees, instead just being one store, which was strange as they didn't need to comply with this law as far as I'm aware. They had a good selection of drinks, including Lipton Iced Tea, I picked up the Mango flavor, which is normally hard to get, they were sold at their RRP of 99p which was reasonable, despite being available cheaper at Heron Foods at 4 for £1, this is still the average price and I was happy to pay it. I noticed my drink tasted funny, I originally blamed it on a problem with the fridges until I taken a look at the expiration date, which stated November 2015, at the time of my experience, they were 4 months past this date, with no notice on. I was angered for this to happen, the staff didn't seem too helpful either, they just seemed quiet and talking to them, was near enough like a scan-it yourself machine, the manager seemed to do well in "clearing the stock", but the rest of the staff seemed poor. This isn't a great place in general, and mainly acts as a local shop, just by Tommyfield Pub and Market in Oldham city center, but I've really been put off this store by the issue with my Lipton Iced Tea, and other factors mentioned in this review.

This is a handy medium sized grocers and greengrocers that sells both Asian (Indian subcontinent)…read moreand English food, and a wide range of both, with a halal meat counter at the back and chest freezers with a range of fish. I go there for the basics like milk and marge, but also for rice, herbs, spices, cheap cleaning items, large bags of dried fruit and nuts, oven chips, frozen samosas, and tahini and tinned chickpeas for making my own hummus. They also have a very big range of soft drinks. Service at the till is no better or worse than most shops, the people at the tills are mostly young and a little offhand, like shop assistants in most small businesses. But they are helpful if you need to ask them where to find something. I like that they open slightly longer than average hours, too, it makes it more convenient to shop here.

A pretty decent Sainsbury's store located on Lord Sheldon Way, in-between Ashton West Metrolink…read more(for the restaurants at Ashton Moss) and IKEA, I prefer using the former stop to get here on foot as it's pretty hard to navigate the roundabout on foot. It is a little difficult to get to on foot as a result of this, but it can be done. A pretty modern store, it has the only Argos store in Ashton now after their branch in The Arcades shut down, it also houses a Lloyds Pharmacy; both of which are pretty much a given when visiting a Sainsbury's nowadays. I couldn't find every item I came in for, but they did have a good selection in most areas, especially the Nespresso Compatible Capsules, they had the new Christmas blend variety in which I haven't seen in any store before (October 2020) I had mixed experiences with staff members, based on three interactions - One shown me where a product was - Someone else told me the aisle number - I was ignored by another staff member. 3* - Couldn't get the items I came in for which was a shame, good selection in most areas, however.

The store it's self is a good size, with a large clothing Dept and House hold goods section. Both of which are well staffed and kept nice and tidy. It has an instore bakery and Deli counters. The store has a good selection of foods like most sainsbury's stores, You can always find staff on the shop floor who are always willing to help and very friendly. You find all the offers you expect in sainsburys and the Quality is always good. I've never had to wait long to be served. The Cafe in this store is fantastic, always clean and well stocked. The Food is really nice and great value for Money.

This Iceland store is located in the Centre of Ashton Town Centre near the Outdoor Market…read more It is quite a large store which also sells Fridges and Freezers at reasonable prices, and with lots of special offers. The Freezers are always full of good quality foods and lots of special offers a really good place to go if like me you have a large freezer. I normally spend about £50 a month and fill my freezer up with food and treats. You can buy saving stamps out of a machine that cost £1 each and save them up til Christmas and do your Christmas shop there. They always have some great deals on joints, desserts and Party Foods. This Iceland also stocks a good range of Fruit and Veg, Cold Meats, Fresh Meats, Toiletries, cleanng product, beers, wines, tinned foods and cakes and Biscuits. They offer Free Delivery of your shopping if you spend over £25, once you have signed up for Delivery. A great Shop, with fantastic deals and offer, and very helpful friendly staff.

This is a very large Tesco, definitley one of the largest in the local area…read more Last time I was here in September, I was outraged and reduced to tears by the amount of gluten free items, still on shelves way past their cell-by date, but I decided to call here while shopping at Costco to see if they stock any of the new gluten free foods which are so hard to get even though Tesco have released them. As this Tesco is so bad, you have to go up through escalator like machines from the underground car park into the store, which is actually over 2 floors, with a huge clothing section, a cafe and electronics being located above all your standard groceries. I didn't notice any out of date items on my visit today, although I didn't have a close look at the section in question. This store is probably one of the biggest in the UK, I like to say about this store "It sells 99 percent of all Tesco products" and honestly with it's size, it is hard to doubt my comment. They is a Petrol Station for this Tesco, which is near enough across the road, nearby include lots of shops and franchises including Dominos and Subway. I feel 3 stars is very fair for this store as it is one of the biggest Tesco's in the UK and stocks some products all the other local stores don't. I don't want to increase this rating yet until I have thoroughly inspected the cell-by dates on non-frozen free from items.

The only problem I have is that although most staff are helpful I am finding the younger ones on the tills a tad rude, they don't aknowledge you and sit turning their heads to shout across and have a conversation with the someone else on another till. Once there was an employee speaking very ill of his supervisor infront of others and the customers, swearing etc.
