Asda in Barnsley is a fair sized supermarket with lots of choice. The range of foods and homewares, clothes, cleaning items and gifts is immense and there is plenty to see. I like the value range - not everything is delicious but with a bit of trial and error it is possible to make some serious savings from your regular brands. The clothes are good too and low prices, as are the DVDs, books, CDs and beauty products. Honestly you could do your full xmas shop here including the gifts and wrap!! Following a breakdown between the petrol station and McDonalds I needed help. The customer service ladies and petrol kiosk lady were fantastic and made a terribly long experience(from 4.30 to 10.30) manageable. Their attention went far beyond customer service into protection. I like this Asda more than others in the area mainly because there is always things reduced that I stock up on. The staff are the usual miserable supermarket lot but you don't go to a supermarket for that I love the make your own Pizza counter and the bargain offers too read more

You always get good quality and cheap prices at Asda and this Asda has a good range of food, non food, electricals and clothing - you can sometimes get clothing items here that you can't get at the larger Asda stores. Parking can be a nightmare though, especially when Barnsley are playing their home matches! You need a sense of humour and lots of patience if you're going to visit on a weekend!! read more

Asda is the one place in Barnsley which sells its unique products to customers. I go on a weekly basis and am never disappointed by the staff and the products they sell. The area is a friendly and clean area to shop in. Items can be reduced to the lowest in the market and sells items from clothes to electricals to food. read more

Asda in Barnsley is located on Old Mill Lane and the best feature of the supermarket is the plentiful and totally free parking with plenty of mother and baby and disabled spaces which is good to see. The prices here are generally quite low with lots of foods on the £1 offer, for example frozen chips, boxes of teabags and eggs, things that you use often. The fresh foods are very good and there is a lot of choice even for people with dietary requirements. Checkout staff and floor walkers are all very nice and helpful and a pleasure to speak to.
