The Vestal Farmer's market runs from June to October on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:00am-2:00pm (or until the vendors sell out).

The market has locally made crafts like jewelry, candles, and jam, a small selection of fresh produce and meat, gluten-free pantry items (not a huge selection, but more interesting options for pasta and cereals than you can find in a mid-sized grocery store), spices/tea in bulk, and locally roasted coffee beans. For the size of the store, they really have a good variety and strike a good balance of basic groceries vs gourmet items. The coffee shop has the standard coffee and tea drinks with some seasonal specialty drinks plus a moderate assortment of baked goods. I tried the blueberry muffin, lemon lavender scone, and a matcha latte from the coffee shop. The baked goods were great. Both had great texture (none of the dryness that cheap GF baked goods often suffer from) and nice flavours. The scone was closer to the dessert side of the baked good spectrum (sweet and almost a shortbread cookie texture), but the muffin was less sweet and wholesome-tasting. My matcha latte was pretty good, easily the best matcha I've had in the Binghamton area. I was with my mom, who got a black tea, and while I didn't actually have any of her tea, I know and like the tea company that they use. The vibe was friendly and welcoming. I'd like to come back here next time I'm in the area!

Stopped here randomly on a quick visit to Binghamton. The plant based soup sign caught my son and…read morei eyes. Upon entering we were greeted with the most lovely lady! She showed us around the store, explained the isles, and invited us to sample the taco soup she had on the daily soup menu. My son and I loved it! We both order a bowl and a fresh juice. I did some light shopping and couldn't believe the prices! I've been to health food stores all over the country, and this on by far has the best prices! Homemade, organic soup was $4.50 a bowl, a huge fresh organic juice, that was so big I almost didn't finish it was $7.50!! Lots of affordable bulk items (organic brown rice $1/lb!) also got my favorite Valarian root liquid. If I ever come back that way I will definitely stop again. The greatest service, prices, and yummy soup is a win!
