I only eat brisket typically once a year, and I've been buying it from my local grocery store. Problem is the past few times and seems to be hit or miss as to whether or not it's tender or kind of like shoe leather. I was under the assumption that maybe I was doing something wrong, or perhaps my crock-pot was shot and overcooking things. So this year, having just heard of butcher boys I purchased a 3 and 1/2 lb tip. Crock-Pot for 7 hours and oh my gosh it was perfect. Now that I know this place exists and I've had a good experience, I'm going to head back over and try a few more things, like for example I see on their website that they have duck breast. I recently went to Butcher Boys since am getting back into BBQ. I wanted to buy quality meats and believe you can only get this at a butcher shop. Am fairly new to the New York State area and do not have a real butcher near me. I drove over 20 miles and after purchasing some items will GLADLY drive it again! I purchased 2 racks of ribs...one baby back and one St Louis cut. Haven't cooked them yet but they look great; and not that much more than from a grocery store. I also purchased Shaved Philly Steaks which are to be similar to a true Philly steak sandwich. They are shaved Rib Eye which is the proper meat for this. I made them tonight and was blown away by the quality. Out of this world quality! The meat was tender and delicious. I should know a good steak sandwich...I lived in Philly area for over 60 years! Today, Butcher Boy's Market denied my partner's trained Service Animal. The man behind the counter was rude and condescending, and does not know the ADA laws. When I called later to further explain the situation I asked if he knew he threw out a Service Animal and he said that he did know that but that the animal wasn't "tagged properly." This means that he saw a disabled person walk into the store and intentionally decided to make their day more difficult. He he spoke down to me. I have years of dog training and know the laws. He attempted to claim that there is a law that a service dog needs to have a Service Animal "card" in its vest and there is no such card that exists and no law. Even if there was at no time did he claim that the dog was poorly trained or acted out. He knew that this was a proper Service Animal. In fact, the ADA states only two reasons for which a business can deny a disabled person with their service dog. I am quoting directly from the most updated guidelines: "A person with a disability cannot be asked to remove his service animal from the premises unless: (1) the dog is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it or (2) the dog is not housebroken. When there is a legitimate reason to ask that a service animal be removed, staff must offer the person with the disability the opportunity to obtain goods or services without the animal's presence." When I called I ended up getting the same person. He talked down to me, was very rude, refused to give his name, told me to "come in on Monday," to speak to the owner - whose name he refused to give - and hung up on me. read more

If you are ANYTHING other than meek and passive, you will not be treated with respect here. You cannot politely inquire about their policies regarding disabled customers. You will be completely dismissed. I was willing to give these guys the benefit of the doubt, but they don't even care. They're not willing to try to work with disabled patrons so that they can shop in peace. I could go here alone and probably encounter no problem, but I'm not going to shop anywhere my friends cannot. I'm from Buffalo,NY and work in the Endicott area monthly. I wanted to pick up porterhouse steaks for dinner at a clients home. I googled looking for a butcher meat shop near me and found Butcher Boy's. I walked in and was greeted so kindly and mentioned what I was looking for. I was shown and explained each of their cuts. I did purchase five 1" cut porterhouse steaks , which a very professional butcher came out and explained his recommendation for grilling. They also have awesome tasting garlic butter that they make. While waiting for my steaks, a nice young woman who helped me explained that they are a four generation and the history of their family business. If you know anything about business, a third generation business usually doesn't make it, so a four generation business like Butcher Boys still in business, I believe they really treat customers with great customer service like I received and have a quality product. We grilled the steaks that evening and they were unbelievably great tasting. I highly recommend you visiting this company. They know what their doing! This place sucks , the staff are belligerent and think they are butchers, the time of only been cutting meat for 2 years one manager isn't even certified none of them are USDA certified. When they tell you they're selling you prime some days they aren't because they run out of prime and just cut a really nice choice strip. And on top of that a manager by the name of Paul m is a very very rude person I've ever been in contact with as a customer. Made me feel so low made me feel like I wasn't wanted like I was wrong doubting everything I said he should not be there working. He should not be working there let alone a fucking boss. That's funny. When I hate to say it he knew nothing every question I asked he had to turn around and ask someone else about it. Clearly not trained clearly unprofessional and clearly an a******. Do not patronize this business. I took a deer to Butcher Boys to be processed. Got it back and there were no tenderloins or back straps. Called to ask about the missing meat. Spoke to a young man who advised that the meat was unsalvageable due to the deer being shot in the back. I stated that was not true as it was a head shot. He put me on hold and another man came back to the phone. I assume this was the manager. He explained that they log any issues when a deer is processed and mine was marked as shot in the back. I asked if it was possible if they mixed up the deer as mine had been shot in the head. He said chances were slim, then asked me if I shot the deer in the back then took a second shot to the head. I reiterated that it was one shot only. He said there was nothing he could do. I calmly replied that I paid them to do a job and that they did not do that job. He angrily told me not to bring any more deer there and hung up on me. At best this is an honest error. At worst it is intentional theft. A simple apology and acknowledgement they made an error would have been appreciated. The fact the business was willing to take no blame for the issue shows they clearly don't value their customers. This is reason enough never to go back to Butcher Boys. I rarely leave reviews, but was compelled to in this instance. The man I spoke to clearly does not know how to manage a business or speak to customers. read more

High quality meats and they can order anything you want. I mean anything - I was standing next to a little old lady who was ordering a goat. They also have Boar's Head brand deli meats; very high quality stuff and it's priced reasonably. They're definitely a good alternative to the supermarket. Also to note is that they have the best spiedies in town. I get a ten pound bucket whenever I visit Endicott. Get some of their raw spiedie meat to throw on the grill. You won't regret it. read more

Fabulous meats at incredible prices. We go there for steaks, country-style ribs and duck breast mainly, but you can find just about anything. We order a Standing Rib Roast for Christmas and we're never disappointed. Not only do they have a great selection, but the place is nice and clean like you'd hope and the staff are always very friendly and always helpful as well. read more
