I like to shop here every two weeks or so. Today as I approached the store in West Chase I was very disappointed at the entrance. The garbage can was piled high adjacent to the front door. Trash and fliers were everywhere on the ground. Not an inviting entrance to a food market. I do like the Mama Cozzis pizza, their cheese variety and yogurts. I usually love the seasonal goodies as well. The prices are well below other stores and the cashiers are very efficient. As for the front entrance, I think this store should get its act together. read more

First impression: A OK. ALDI is a hit or miss discount store offering an eclectic collection of German brand foods, fresh produce, and household items. Shopping carts must be paid for with a refundable quarter. BYO shopping bags. My visit felt like a miss because I didn't score any of the unique items I've seen advertised. My selection was mostly junk and junk food. I struggled to find healthy or gluten-free items. During my visit there was only one cashier available and the line was backed up an entire aisle length. I found it difficult to social distance in such a small space. Super cheap! Organic broccoli, mashed potatoes, bananas, turkey bacon, and fresh Atlantic salmon cost $14. The fact that products frequently change will keep ALDI off my grocery rotation, but I'd like to stop by occasionally to see if I get lucky. read more

I have only been to Aldi a couple of times... but their produce is fresh with a good selection. Same for their meat department.. it looks good, even if everything is all prepackaged. A lot of unfamiliar brands, but they all seem to be quality foods. I have been happy with my purchases here... and service is usually decent too. read more

I appreciate the store and love the deals however, two days in a row I watched the security guard at the door harass patrons. on the second day myself and my daughter were her target. I assume her job to stop thief's NOT to accuse honest shoppers of stealing. it's DEFIANTLY NOT to tell my daughter I'm teaching her how to steal while showing her how to use the cart return NOR call me "Karen" for having words back to her. yes, I reported her to the Aldi management and yes, I will be calling the security management company in hopes she will get a disciplinary action that fits and learn stick to her job v/s being cart cop. read more

This is a nice Aldi. It's much bigger than most of the Aldi's in Tampa. The isles are bigger. However I take issue with them leaving a huge pallet in the middle an isle so that the oversized carts can't get through. That's my main beef with this Aldi besides the fact that I have to get used to the new layout...other than that I'm a fan. My order of grocery shopping is Aldi, Costco, then Publix. I also frequent specialty places on the other side of town, but in my top 3 for basics Aldi is numero uno and I supplement what I can't get at Aldi everywhere else. I've been an Aldi shopper for a few years now especially when they decided to be more conscious about suppliers and even went mostly GMO free last year by banning a lot of chemicals from their stores. They have a great organic brand too. I usually will shop Aldi once a week because there are items they get in and once they're gone they're gone. I'm glad I have 3 Aldi stores in my vicinity. When one store runs out of something I can check the other 2 without going across town. read more

Definitely not my favorite Aldi. It seemed really disorganized and was quite a bit of a zoo. I thought it was interesting with the new arrangement of the produce right when you walk in. I think it teaches buying natural before packaged which is pretty cool. I felt bad for the people working here. They do not have enough staff. The person checking me out was awesome and super multitasking and still super nice and energetic. I'm not sure if I will come back to this location but it's nice to know it's here. Aldi cuts overhead costs, passes it to their customers, so you are able to purchase groceries for 50% less and is more competitive compared to Publix. I was delighted and made happy shrieks seeing the construction of this store and eyed it closely for it to open. It is my go to neighborhood store located to my favorite one of all time which (*Drum Roll*) is Costco! I love that I don't need to purchase large quantities which is more usable. The fun part is inserting a quarter to release a cart and to get your deposit back, just return it attached to another cart to where you picked it up by inserting your quarter back into the slot. The aisles are barely wide enough for two small carts though... I mainly get fruits and vegetables, which is very affordable, but inspect carefully because I've come across stuff that's already decomposing. Just like all other Aldis, it's always packed and the good stuff runs out fast! read more

This Aldi right next to our house had us switch doing our groceries from Publix, which I've done all my life. Shopping at Aldi has cut our grocery bills in half... sometimes even only a third of what we normally pay! How much of that is me going in with a plan and not being tempted by BOGOs or they are just cheaper... I'm not totally sure. Shopping at Aldi comes with some adjustments. Make sure you bring a quarter to get a shopping cart. You get it back once you return your cart, no worries! You also bring your own bags or buy them there. You are your own bagger! Take your cart over to the bagging area after you pay. So far, we have been happy with every purchase. I was concerned that quality could be lacking, but that hasn't been the case. The biggest downside is items they are missing. I still have to head to other stores should I need rotisserie chicken or certain meats, but that's not too big a deal since I've got Costco next door! The inner aisle with Aldi finds is always a good stop! They stock household items and even furniture here that changes weekly. My little one even had her first meltdown over a toy they had. (Yes, she got it. She doesn't have many toys anyway!) This is our new grocery store, and we are so pleased it's here! read more

The Aldi execs really fancied up this location to appeal to the Westchase crowd, lemme tell ya. 7 years ago, I was molded into a full-on Aldi shopper and I've been to them all in the tri-county area, as well as St. Louis, and this is by far the nicest and most uniquely laid out. During my last two visit to this Aldi, the floor was smeared with dirt. It was very uncomfortable to shop here. The Town N Country location on Hillsborough & Sheldon is nice and clean. Perhaps it is a training issue on the floor cleaning equipment but this is unacceptable. read more

Aldi is the best! We won't go anywhere else! We live in an area where we have about 7 different grocery stores that are 10 mins or less, but we go a longer distance just to get to this Aldi. It's always clean, they're very fast at the checkout line, and the employees are so kind. The special part is that they remember my family from the moment we walk in. definitely makes you feel special. I'm always excited to shop at Aldi because of the "Aldi finds" section and the home goods area. I've gotten so many cheap items from this area of the store. I just love Aldi! I was really surprised when I walked into this Aldi. It was so clean and moderately stocked. It was 3 PM when I went so shelves might have needed to be restocked. There some items that were off brand but​ were less than your regular grocery store. I purchased a bag of (8) Roma​ tomatoes for $1.69. A nice head of cauliflower​ for$2.69. If you like Kerrygold​ butter I purchased (2) sticks for $2.85. That butter depending on where​ you are shopping is really all over the place. I have seen it as high as $5.25 for the (2) sticks. I have read that Aldi and Trader Joes are owned by brothers. Saving on groceries is always a good thing. You should try this clean well-organized​ store. read more

My wife and I like to stop by this Aldi before we go to Costco. It's brand new and really clean, but it can get pretty busy during the evenings. Unlike most Aldi's, the produce at this particular Aldi is really good and doesn't go bad after just a day or two. The downside to this location is that they tend to run out of the nonfood items really fast. If you're hoping to get that really great deal on a welcome mat, you'd better get to this location as soon as you can because they'll be out by Friday. read more

I love the new look of Aldi and the direction they are taking their business model. While not everything's a hit for me at Aldi, certain items are really good at a really good price. Their move towards organic at non rip off prices is wonderful, and I give their fit & active branded items two thumbs up! Their meat selection and quality is underwhelming, but that could just be due to the fact that Costco just kills them in that area. If you live in Westchase, the double header of Aldi and Costco and Starbucks in one location, with massive amounts of parking, just made your life incrementally easier. First time, no bags, quarter for cart, no clear explanation of how that works from check out person, and saw no signs about that policy so had to hand carry my items to car without a bag.That pissed me off as I got injured and have to use a cane so I'm walking to my car hand carrying items with a cane. Ridiculous! Store is clean but not that big. Off brand items with good prices but few name brand. Meats are NOT high quality. Produce is almost all packaged with little individual items. Go to Sprouts for meat and produce. Walmart prices are just as good or better but it's Walmart. Now that I know about the bag/cart thing I still won't be back. read more

I expected low prices and great merchandise at the Westchase Aldi's in front of Costco's; but, was very impressed with an employee name Ryan. I wanted to purchase a large item and not only did he help me with finding the item but loaded it into my car. It was not so much his actions but his attitude through it all.
