PW Warrior can NEVER be fully in sync with their own ad, which I assume comes out of corporate. They started offering a weekly freebie earlier this year with a specified minimum overall purchase amount. So you grab one, meet the required $$, get in line to check, then notice you've been charged for the freebie. Why? Because the one selected off the shelf doesn't EXACTLY match the picture in the ad. Went one time specifically for one particular item, only to find there was none in the store. So I asked the department manager if more was coming in. He said no, because he'd stopped buying the item, since "every time I ordered something from them they didn't send it." Guess whoever plans the specials should've checked with that guy before putting things in sale. I've spent MANY long minutes standing in line while the cashier (and I need to say here that the cashiers have always been helpful and understanding) calls the manager, who has to take the sale item back to the middle of the store, check this and that, all while customers are waiting in line behind me, to finally stroll back, get on the register, key some things into the register, then walk away - all without saying a word to me (most times, not all). Today the ad showed Coke 12-pack cans at 2 for $10. I check out and stupid me forgets to watch the register. I'm looking at the receipt while walking to my truck and notice I've been charged full price for both cartons. I'm eating that extra cost today because I will NEVER EVER AGAIN set foot in this miserable place. I'm sick and tired of having to fight my way to save a few much needed $$ savings. And the pricing is completely transparent - loads of big signs around the store saying "10% added at the till" as well as similar disclaimers on the price labels for most of the individual products. Even allowing for that, the prices are still broadly comparable to Aldi. It's worth your while to check them out.

I patronized the Meat Depot to pick up a couple of items on my way home after two stressful days at…read morethe office. I cleared the aisle so the customer behind me could proceed with their purchases. I could not find the receipt. With respect to the lady behind me, I was waiting until the cashier TERNICE to finish with that customer. A male cashier came by as I was waiting TERNICE stated to the male cashier "I don't know why he standing there for" and before I could ask TERNICE if she had given me my receipt, TERNICE began shouting loud of how much my purchases were and how much change she had given me. The male cashier stated "he is looking for his receipt" and I followed behind him to let TERNICE know that I was looking for the receipt and that I had found the receipt. I work in the corporate field and politeness goes a long way. Other customers were looking at me. I have never been that embarrassed or yelled at like TERNICE had done.. The tomato itself was $3.88c. (wow!) That is why I wanted to review the recept. When my mother, sister and in-laws would visit, I would always take them to the Meat Depot, Huffman. I also referred my secretary to the Meat Depot. She and her sister travel from Pelham to shop there. I will make sure to let my family and her sister know of the treatment I received today. Remind you, my family visit from over 100 miles visiting me. Before they would travel back home, they would stop at the Meat Depot, Huffman. I will now take them to Fresh Value, Trussville.
