I like Aldi and usually shop at the one in my own town. I was in the area and needed to pick up a few things. For anyone who shops at Aldi, you know they don't carry every variation of a product, but what they do have is typically high quality. The produce can be hit or miss, but the prices are significantly lower than most grocery stores. The checkout lines can sometimes look long, but the cashiers are like well tuned machines and move items through at an impressive pace. Picked up a few items for dinner. Pretty okay Aldi with the usual annoying Aldi customers. Always someone in line who isn't ready but is in front of me. The shelves are usually well organized without rotten or aging produce. As pointed out in other reviews, there is some really bad parking going on here, I don't know why so many people find the need to drive vehicles much larger than they can safely drive. Anyone remember when Aldis didn't use scanners and the workers memorized prices and punched in the prices manually all faster than today's cashiers with scanners? Date of visit: 10/31/2022 I had to stop here for a gift card as part of a collection at work for a co-worker and it was the easiest one to get to between work and home. The stores are not very impressive, inside or out, but that's really to be expected at this point, right? Aldi is not the kind of place to me that you can get everything that you need, grocery-wise, so it's not a place that I usually bother frequenting, who has time to hit up multiple grocery stores? But since I was here getting the aforementioned gift card anyway, I decided to take a stroll through and see if they had any oat milk. No go there but they did have the lactose free milk my husband likes for his cereal and a coffee creamer that may or may not be the same as the name brand I usually pay a bit more for at other stores. The most surprising thing here was the friendliness of the cashier! He didn't have a name tag, so I can't give him a personal shout out here, but he was friendly and engaging, which is a combination that appears to have been lost to the retail game years ago! read more

I have only been to Aldi a handful of times, but I like it so far. From what I know, they are a good company, so I don't mind patronizing them. Aldi stores are billed as being cheaper than other grocery stores, however I find the prices to vary on all of their products. If you know your prices, you can go to Aldi and focus on purchasing items that are better deals than elsewhere - and there are plenty! Aldi's snacks and charcuterie are my favorite things to browse. They have a fantastic variety with excellent prices for snacks - including their trail mixes, chips, and crackers. The charcuterie selections are excellent - a lot of fun cheeses and meats, my favorite of which might be their pre-assembled (3 meats included) Italian charcuterie containers for under $5. This one is perfect to take to a picnic or a party to accompany your cheese board! Aldi's produce is just okay, as the selection is not always there. The quality and prices are fair. I do appreciate some of their meat prices - the whole chickens are a great price, but other meats are the same as your average grocery store. Aldi is worth a trip every now and then and is a fun place to browse. Make sure you bring a quarter for a cart, or as I prefer to do, bring a large reusable grocery bag for your shopping. You also need to either purchase reusable bags there or bring your own. read more

When the Oak Creek location opened, we shopped there often. The clerks were friendly and helpful, shelves were well stocked and the atmosphere in the store was 'mellow'. Something changed during the last year and this simply isn't the same store any longer. They seem to be understaffed and with that, the clerks who are there are stressed out. We wanted a case of an item and asked someone who seemed to be part of management to check in the back. Her response surprised us....it was like we had asked her to do something that wasn't part of her job. Needless to say, we didn't not get the item we asked about. We've since started shopping at the Glendale location. What a difference!! Well staffed, happy clerks, helpful ....just an overall great experience every single time. Hopefully the Oak Creek location will get its act together again and turn the store around. If that happens, we'll be back. Until then, Glendale, here we come. Btw, just for the record, we no longer live in CA. We are back in Milwaukee for the foreseeable future. read more

Overview - I was skeptical, but now I'm in love! Customer Service 4/5 When you hear generic grocery store, it's always a little disheartening. But I've had pleasant experience after pleasant experience! The selection is surprisingly vast. Anything I'm wanting to get (within expected reason) is available. Obviously I'm not going to Aldi's for ethnic spices, but the American staple diet items are all present. My favorite items to get here are the $4.50 bacon wrapped steaks and ground beef. Seriously, with some salt and seasoning the steaks are SO good! Small, but delicious! And beef is so cheap! While I've had to wait in somewhat long register lines because only one is ever open, the employees are nice. With recent renovations to the building, its defiantly more eye catching. I enjoy shopping at Aldi's (except for having to pay for grocery bags) and recommend everyone to make it a regular grocery S top! read more

This review goes for most Aldi, since it IS a chain. There are no words to describe my love for this place except that it is cheap and quality (the chain is German, and they are pretty anal about things being good quality). Things to watch out for: Their European chocolate Assortment of amazing cheeses, including goat cheese Goat cheese pizza by Mama Cozzi (the other day I couldn't find it, and was devastated). I know, 1st world problems... Lume hair products-identical to high end salon products (the ingredients are the same, as well as smell and results), their leave in tonic is magic on hair. So, before, I said "I'd love to give aldi a 5 star" but that statement, no longer stands. I have three dogs who enjoy dog lick mats so I go into my fridge to grab some ingredients that are dog safe, one being cottage cheese we had bought around a week and a half ago (6/08/21) and I look at the expiration date even though WE HAVENT EVEN OPENED THE TUB YET and I see that it expired 05/07/21, THIS STUFF EXPIRED LAST MONTH, WE BOUGHT IT THIS MONTH. This isn't the first time we've gotten expired product from aldi, but it's the first time aldi has hurt mine and my dogs feelings. I've had HORRIBLE experiences with aldi but I alway vouch for them because I'm a loyal customer but not anymore. They were really gonna feed my dear ole mother expired cottage cheese? I mean, she's the one who actually enjoys cottage cheese so I guess it's natural selection but what if it was my poor dogs eating that expired cottage cheese? Huh? Are you anti-dog or something aldi? I was familiar with Aldi before having lived in Bavaria, Germany. You deposit a refundable quarter to pick up your cart and thus enter the store. It's a compact store and this one is Ludington is actually a very good Aldi as it has a lot of everything. I picked up a gallon of milk last wednesday for $.97 and I love it that Aldo carries Turano Pane Italian bread which is the best!! The brands are off-brands but the quality is comparable to regular grocery marts. Aldi is strong on German products - their Radler summer beer is to die for - and they have some other german meat treats---they have really good frozen foods at very cheap prices - their produce is weak in some (lettuce, corn) and strong in others (small peppers, cucumbers) and produce is reasonably priced. They have allot of nifty hard to find curry sauces, flavored pesto sauces, etc. Compared to overpriced humdrum white bread Meijers and musty Walmart and super expensive Shop and Save - this Aldi is great! Note: there are no bags - you bring your own bags or use their cardboard boxes - return cart - insert chain and get quarter back - there are no cart barns in parking lot!!! read more
