I was on a spectacular search today after finding out about the 10inch plants for $13.99. This was the only location that was still well stocked. I was able to choose a very nice Dracena and a Sansevieria. They both appear to be very healthy and are extremely full . Leah, the cashier was also very pleasant. ALDI has greatly improved. It is clean and the produce is good quality. Cheeses include good variety for most ethnicities. They have mostly "knock-off" brands. They offer great deals on items related to important holidays. Prices are very good. They are willing to help always. Be aware, carts are provided by installing a quarter in a cart lock. I find it annoying so I bring bags to avoid that situation read more

I must need to stick to the Aldi in my zip code to get the appreciation that customers deserve. Today, I happened to be in Lewisville, Tx and noticed an Aldi. I am unable to walk much without assistance. I looked for the electric carts that have always been visible at the front door. All I saw was a push wheelchair. I pushed it through about 1/2 of the store but then asked the checker if there were more carts. First she said no they must be in use. Then, she saw 2 over where they were not visible and not at the front where I have gotten carts before. She also said, she was not sure they were charged, neither was plugged in. So thankfully, the first one I tried worked. As I moved away, I saw a gentleman who happened to be a MGR. and told him that these two carts were not visible when you walk in and I had to go to the front to ask the clerk who told me where they were. I also told they were not even plugged in. To that he quickly replied with an attitude, well they do not need charging everyday. I had another motive for going to an Aldi since the location was more convenient for me today. About 2 months ago, I purchased 2 pkgs of deli meat (obviously packed by Aldi). In one I was shocked to see along with 3 slices of turkey there was a poorly made sandwich with a paper towel poorly wrapped around it. I told the checker as I checked that I had a return, to that she said what do you have? I said I have a picture of it, she said she could not refund without the product, and of course, I would not be returning spoiled meat back to the store. I said if you will look at the picture, you will see the problem. She still was not interested, I asked her to call a MGR. She saw one walk by and I explained the situation and I showed him the picture. He said I can give you a credit on a card. I said fine. I did not get his name and appreciate his respectfulness but I did not appreciate Manager Jay. I had told him after our cart conversation, I was not impressed with that store and won't be back. He did not care! It was like that's up to you. I said I know you do not care. This situation would NEVER have happened at my closest Aldi, in Carrollton, TX on Old Denton Rd. They have always been perfect. I had a return once, no questions asked and a refund. That store in Lewisville is not representing Aldi well at All! I did not want to put this tainted product in the press but I even informed Corporate and they said nothing! A total surprise. I will continue to be an Aldi customer especially will be loyal to my store in Carrollton, but Lewisville? never! I do not know why my address shows California. I live in Texas. read more

Aldi piqued my interest in my pursuit to break the monotony of shopping at the same grocery stores for the same items week after week. Once I had been I found reasons to return such as: - Extremely low price compared to other grocery stores. - Basics like milk, bread, produce, etc can be obtained without the arduous trek through a large store. - They carry out of the ordinary items that I wasn't even aware existed, but now I suddenly need to have, like Transylvanian cave cheese soaked in red wine, pumpkin chipotle pasta sauce, or crab rangoon flavored dip just to name a few. Many of these are seasonal so they will eventually be replaced with new, equally uncommon goods. Of course there are reasons to skip Aldi (albeit not super compelling ones) in favor of the familiar grocery shopping experience of going to Kroger/WalMart/Target/etc, such as: - A very limited selection. At most, you'll find just a handful of varieties to choose from for every item. But personally, I don't need to pore over dozens of different kinds of salsas to pick just one. - Loyalty to name brands has no place here. The majority of their stock consists of off brands with a few recognizable labels mixed in. - Nothing is sold in bulk. That's not to say that you can't buy 45 rolls of toilet paper. They just won't all be in the same package. read more

There aren't any of these close to me, but I enjoyed checking this place out with my friend who shops here regularly. The prices seemed pretty good and the employees were friendly. If I was in the area of some of these stores, I would shop here at least once. It's nice to discover new stores. At first I found it weird that they "charge" for shopping carts, but the quarter that you put into the cart handle is a deposit, which, quite honestly is a smart idea. read more

I will say, this is an interesting concept. A grocery store but with Ikea-like mentality. If you've been to Ikea you have an idea of what I am talking about. Ikea and Aldi snake you around the store so you see everything. This is not a regular grocery store. Aldi brands for the most part and like Ikea, if you want little extras like bags or shopping carts, you pay a little extra to get them. Being that it is only their brands, of course the place is alot smaller than a Kroger or a SuperTarget, so it fills up quicker. I'd suggest off hours and probably not weekends if you are looking to get in and out. It's a cool concept and we have one coming to Denton, so I will most likely check it out at least once or twice. read more

Unique, lower price than other grocery chains and has german odd and ends. Funny to take a double take of what they do w national brand packaging. It looks like the name brand but looking carefully you see it's an ALDI "knock-off". Meat and veggies are 1/3 less cost than Tom Thumb. Produce varies in freshness. Cheese is a little less. Chip knock offs are half price of real thing but not always same taste. They have specials labeled with red tags. Unique items you can't find anywhere. Great service. We love shopping at this Aldi location it can be busy at times but they staff the business with plenty of employees.

This is my favorite grocery store. Yes, you have to bring your own bags and a quarter for the carts, and most of their items are their own brand, but this allows them to keep the store sizes small and manageable and, most importantly, keep the prices consistently low, not just on one or two specials, but across the board. My only complaint is that they are lacking in some categories of items, like frozen dinners, but, in my opinion, this isn't enough of a complaint to deduct a star. read more

The store changes way too much and that is why it can't possibly be 5 stars. The Aldi in Corinth and Denton Texas are better at staying consistent with the items locations in their store. We love Aldi! It's a different experience but once you know how it works, you will love it! We save $50 each week (or more) and the time spent shopping is also shorter. The staff is friendly and efficient. If you walk up to a register and there are two full carts in front of you, don't dismay, the cashier will have you through in no time. Store layout is perfectly designed for a one-pass trip throughout. I love that there is not a hundred brands to choose from; I won't be hampered by my own indecisiveness. So, bring your reusable bags, your quarter, and shopping list, and enjoy! read more

I love Aldi! Its been a staple in my life since I was a youngin growing up in IN. Everywhere I move I try to find one. So I was excited to see when I moved to TX that they are not just in certain areas but all over! I've spent $40 at other stores and got 2 bags whereas here I get almost a full cart. I've been on a clean eating journey and I can say that I find a lot here. They have a good wine selection, many of them imported. This particular store is always clean and the staff is wonderful. We shop there probably every week so they know our faces. Its almost like going to the small town market! What would have normally cost us about $80 at Kroger, and $120 at Tom Thumb, cost us about $40 here. We make fresh juice every morning so we burn through produce like it ain't no thang. Aldi just changed my life with their ridiculously cheap fresh fruits and veggies. Bizarrely, Aldi somehow manages to have fresh strawberries when other major grocers don't. And just when I had sworn off ever buying a bag of apples or oranges again, I see that their bags are filled with large, fresh, and easily visible fruit. No tricky red and orange mesh bags here, bitches. It took me three times to get my Aldi visit right. You have to remember to bring your own bags, bring a quarter to get a shopping cart, and check when they are open so you don't end up sitting in an empty parking lot. It's small, it's not for browsing, but it gets the job done and CHEAP. Super cheapo wine and beer, here, too. I loved the $5 wine, but my husband claimed it was intolerable. I think he's just being a snob. But whatever, for $5, you can risk it! So come, enjoy they fresh veggies. Mayhaps take a chance on some generic dry goods. Bonus points - a LOT of fancy cheeses on the cheap. I haven't tried them yet, but I sense the cheapest cheese board EVER in my future. read more

Gotta love this location, opened today and it was built from the ground up. Yep all of the interior fresh and new after they demo'd an existing building on the site. As everyone knows by now, ALDI sells mostly their own brand of product and some of that packaged product is hit or miss. But the milk and eggs are a deal, the veggies and fruits are pretty good and a lot of the frozen stuff rocks. They also sell some small items that rotate throughout the year (like bedding, heaters etc) at pretty good prices. read more

The first time I went here I did a walk though to see what it was like and see what all the prices looked like. I was very impressed with the concept of the store and I love saving money! I do recommend a walk through for your first time. Many products are seasonal, that's how they keep costs down. They only carry 1000 of the most used products for the season. **Bring your own bags! And shopping carts cost a quarter that you get back when you return the cart. Produce and meat are both great. They carry the staples of any household all year. As far as food, there's nothing I won't buy there. They do have a very limited personal item and pet section. They do carry paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates, ect. My favorite part is that it has saved me a lot of money. My husband loves that the store is quick to zip around (I rarely get distracted) and he's always impressed at how much food we get for what we pay. We love Aldi! read more

I've been coming to this location for years and love it. I'm a foodie and love to cook. Once u understand the quarter deposit for your cart , bagging your own groceries and the quick efficient checkout service it makes more sense. Meat and seafood is good quality. The knockoff brand products are great and 1/2 the price of your big box brands. They always have new products monthly to try. Premise is like Trader Joe's where many products are their own brand but the look isn't as fancy as Joe's. Cashiers are nice efficient and fast. They literally are the fastest cashiers you will ever see. The only negative is there are a lot of rude Insta cart shoppers now with covid that are speed shopping around you and don't care if they get in your space. The new world. Cheese dairy bread are great prices. I literally get 75% of my monthly items here. Give it a couple visits to navigate and u will love it and save a lot of money. read more

Racist employees and terrible customer service to African Americans. Every time my girlfriend and I go there we are being followed and employees never speak or greet us. Today at the store while checking out the cashier was attentive to the previous customer and the customers after us but did not acknowledge us at all. Even when we spoke he turned his head. Update 8/17: Fruit seems to have improved some. Bananas are warm and brown most of the time. 2015: I have been coming here for a year and constantly find moldy fruit every week. I love Aldi. Reasonably priced, adequate selection, short lines. I love to buy paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, sandwich bags, milk, coffee cream, heavy cream, cheese and many other "basics" here. My personal favorites of their's are the sweet potato chips, kettle cooked sea salt chips, and the white cheddar. You will occasionally find brands here but Aldi's brands are just as good as a lot of the big name, more expensive brands. With this economy, saving money is essential. At least saving money can be fun and a bit adventurous when shopping at Aldi. read more

I should probably go here more. Depending on what they have on sale, it really is very economical. You can get great deals on their produce when they are running specials but the quality of it can be hit or miss. More hit than miss....just like any oher store. If you need juice pouches and snack items for kids, this place has great prices. I cant get all my shopping done here as they dont carry everything you need, but still worth the trip. read more

I went in a few weeks ago and put a gift card with the items I was purchasing. The clerk snapped at me "you have to give me that at the end." And she handed it back to me. At the end I handed it to her. She swiped it. She said " there is nothing on this." I said " I know I want to buy it." Then she had that roll your eyes attitude towards me. Today I went in again and she snapped at the man on front of me. Why does she have to be so short with people? When I do go in I try not to go through her line if 2 are open. read more

On December 17, 2017 I was shopping at the Aldie's in Lewisville Texas. Was so happy to see that the store had re-modeled have wider rows bigger frozen food section you can see the products so much better. They did a beautiful job remodeling the employees are pleasant and helpful fully stocked. I had shopped at this Aldi about a year ago and was very unhappy pour stocking rude employees. My initial mindset was "dollar store" equivalent until I went for the very first time. New store built here just a few blocks from my home. That is certainly a plus. I have been several times now and will continue to shop there. Make sure you take a quarter to get your shopping basket. I keep one in my purse just for that purpose. Also, don't forget your shopping bags, otherwise you will have to buy some for a few cents to carry things home. There are no name brands there, only Aldi brands, so no use of coupons. I have to say I'm rather impressed with many of their products. The basics are great products i.e. milk ( even the no-lactose one), bread, eggs, produce, frozen foods, baking products, coffee. The prices are really good too. The exception seems to be the fresh meat market. You will pay more for fresh, chicken, ground beef, pork than most grocery stores. However, they have a tasty spiral sliced ham that I choose to buy instead of packaged lunchmeat. Coupled with their $5 off $25 coupons which I keep getting in the mail, it's a great buy for our family budget and tasty products too. Even my picky, name-brand only husband has commented about how much he likes what I have been getting there! No credit cards, only debit and cash. read more
