I stopped by the Aldi in Fort William for the first time on Tuesday 16 July 2019 on my way out of town before a drive and hiking through part of Glencoe on my way to Glasgow. In fact, it was the first Aldi I ever visited. The store is located in a retail park and has a large and easily accessible parking lot. Aisles were well organized and items fair in pricing.
It was day 13 of a 17 day heritage travel trip I was making to Scotland and I had not been able to do laundry, so I was not feeling at my best in terms of clothing. However, I did not feel out of place shopping here, which I found soothing. I went with items produced locally (in Scotland), including McTavish's Highland Toffee and and brochan Raspberry & Honey Porridge Oat Bars made with Scottish oats.
The toffee was a perfect snack for driving. I had bought a bag of Buchanan's brand from a Co-op in Kyle the day before, but had finished that in about a day... Found out on my trip that I REALLY like toffee. The porridge bars were also tasty, discovered I liked Scottish oats more than some of the ones grown in the United States of America.
