I just had such a pleasant experience here. The young man Allen working the register, was very helpful and understanding.

My favorite Aldi store! Great management team and staff, fast checkout, good selection of food items and great pricing.

No wine or beer sales on Sundays deserves 0 stars. So outdated and lame. Do better Aldi.

Went to Patterson for a friend date after my sister recommended it for their amazing donuts…read more My friend and I hadn't seen each other in a while, and the trails behind Patterson Fruit Farm were the perfect surprise--we got to walk, talk, and catch up before heading into the store. Once inside, we found a wide selection of goodies. I picked up some apple butter (incredible--solid 10/10) and a dozen donuts for my sister. We also grabbed two pumpkins, all at really good prices. The only hiccup was the checkout logistics. If you buy items inside and then buy more outside, they don't use "paid" stickers, so we were asked multiple times whether we'd already purchased our things. They also didn't have bags when we visited, so we ended up awkwardly carrying small items and pumpkins at the same time. They do have baskets near the entrance, but none further inside where you actually realize you need one. Minor inconveniences aside, Patterson is a wonderful place, and now I know what to expect next time. I'd absolutely go again.

It's fall y'all. And everyone likes to decorate with pumpkins and gourds. And enjoy apple cider…read more I know I do. This place was great. The selection was huge. For everything they sold. I didn't feel like they would sell out if anything while I walked around. The staff was friendly. But not overly as well. Finding this place was very easy. I seen several signs. And I also used gps. You still have a couple weeks left. Get here before fall is over.

TONS of food to eat including both different types of food (popcorn, breads, pastries, pasta, MEAT, SEAFOOD I could go on and on. But also a lot of repeats (probably at least five different places to buy macarons for example. There are so many things to see and watch it is entertaining in its own right. We got coffee (with fun flavors, delish), a cheese roll (should have also gotten a pizza bagel from that place don't botch it like I did.) some pastries (good) and flavored popcorn (also good). Probably my favorite thing we did in Cleveland.

I love food halls and markets, and I always try to check them out when I travel, so I had some…read morepretty high hopes for this well-rated spot! Starting off with parking, there was some construction going on and I missed the first entry, there was nowhere to turn for the parking lot address I had on 25th St (turn on 23rd)! We ended up doing street parking but there's 90 min of free parking if you make it into the lot. Moving onto the main attraction: food! Most of the food is real market food for folks cooking at home. Think sausages, fish, various other meats, and pastas. There was a great deal on fresh made pasta near the front for $2.50 a bundle, but I was on the hunt for ready-to-eat lunch and those didn't quite hit the mark! I also saw a lot of baked goods (apple fritters, macarons, breads), fried foods (empanadas, hand pies, etc.), and sauces/dips. When it came to food options I actively considered, I narrowed it down to spring rolls, crepes, and gyros, but ultimately the gyros were priced really high ($16!) and we ended up dining at the West Side Cafe (which was great, I'll review that separately). Long story short: fun market to shop around if you feel like cooking a nice meal, not so fun for a lunch while you're out. Also I'm learning that there was seating upstairs, this was hard to spot while inside!

Found my new produce stand at the WSM--done and done…read more I'm a CSA gal, Fresh Fork to be exact, but sometimes you just need some extra ingredients and that's where Rooted In Cleveland comes in. Here there is no question where your produce is coming from--most likely it's from across the street at Ohio City Farm! Yep: the farm that helps refugees find work and teaches them to farm to make money (Refugee Responce)... the farm space that helps people in need find fresh produce while also supplying local restaurants in Ohio City with tons of homegrown goodies. That farm! The stand has pretty much all seasonal items, but when I stopped by last week they had everything I was looking for. Herbs, root veggies, tomatoes, greens--yum! I'm not sure what the stand will look like in the winter months, but I'm sure they'll have something out there that's delicious. Their FB page says it best, "We're a seasonally and sustainably-oriented produce stand at the West Side Market providing local and organically-minded specialty produce." Prices were way cheaper than Dave's Supermarket and pretty on point with the rest of the stands. But what really stands out? No yelling or selling! That's right--no one at the stand will try to sell you or trick you into buying overly ripened produce they don't let you see first before they throw in a bag. In general, just picture this: You're fighting your way through the produce wing at WSM on a Saturday afternoon, then you turn the corner to suddenly find a peaceful place where you can take a breath of fresh air and buy bad ass local produce. Yes, that was a bit of a run-on, but you get the point. Hint: It's near the Ohio City Blooms stand.

Much has staid the same since the previous reviews... great weekly newsletter/ online store / bag process for 22 weeks in the summer... and a kind of wonky but refreshing winter subscription... summer starts in June and runs through october... winter picks right up but is only weekly to Turkey day and then changes to every other week. Shopping the online store is like having a farmer's market at your finger tips! Every week they also bring items to the stops for grab and go purchase... but if you really want milk and eggs... order online! They can sell out at the truck. This winter we tried the new Carnivore subscription... over the season smeveryone gets the same cow / pig / poultry and value add (lard, stock, deli meat, sausage, bones) but there is less flexibility... you need to go to the same stop each week. No dietary substitutions... everyone gets pork for example. The only downside to the omnivore winter subscription is the cabbage... lots and lots of cabbage... sauerkraut... more basketball size cabbages... so the carnivore is a nice change while still having access to the store and avoiding out of state protein. They post the newsletters and photos of the weekly bags online and have an epic treasure troce of recipes!

I'd say an update is due, considering how much I talk about FFM on a daily basis!…read more The Winter Share is off the chain--if you're even considering it, do it. I'm a regular Summer Share member (2yrs running) and it's my favorite. However, last year I didn't do the Winter one and this year I did--holy crap was I missing out. Totally worth the price. You pick up weekly bags in the beginning and then switch to once every other week as the cold months kick in. You get tons of winter veggies, greens and then you'll start getting freshly frozen, long-lasting items that store well. Lots of root veg, cheeses, jars of pickled goodness, grains, dried beans (not like those ones you get at the store, trust), pastas and lots and lots of meat! Oh--and if you haven't tried their Thanksgiving Bags, please do so this year. You won't be disappointed.
