I love Aldi for their AOS! (Aisle of Shame) the fun aisle in the store! Where you purchase the items you didn't know you needed!

Noutta Sushi And Thai - Seared Salmon Toro

Noutta Sushi And Thai

(103 reviews)

Excellent sushi and Thai food in an unlikely -- but very convenient -- spot. The small strip mall…read moreat Kings Point (Atlantic Ave & Jog Rd) has long been known for bagels and appetizing... but that's about to change with the arrival of Noutta Sushi and Thai. Sushi is clearly the story here. After a successful career at larger venues, Chef Noutta set out to create a place of his own -- one where he could showcase his craft, offer top-tier sushi, and really engage with guests. I had heard good things from reliable sources, and while sushi isn't exactly my lane, I came with two serious sushi experts and grabbed seats at the counter to watch the chef in action. They went all in on the sushi, while I explored some of the Thai side. Chef Noutta received very high marks from my friends -- they were impressed across the board. The fish, sourced both from Japan and locally, was pristine and incredibly fresh. I enjoyed the Thai dishes, and sitting at the sushi bar with the ongoing dialogue with the chef made the experience even better. He's clearly talented and passionate -- a real asset for Delray Beach. All the sushi was excellent, but two standouts I tried were the HAMACHI KAMA, infused with ponzu and sweet chili sauce, and the DELUXE RAINBOW TORO ROLL -- Spicy chunk otoro, hamachi toro, salmon toro ( mixed with spicy mayo ), tempura flakes, Avocado, cucumber, topped with otoro, hamachi toro, salmon toro, yum yum sauce, U.S.A sauce, and tobiko ( red, green, black). Big flavors, beautifully executed. On the Thai side, the Shrimp Wonton Soup was very good -- simple, clean broth with well-made wontons. The Yaki Udon with Chicken -- thick noodles with carrots, cabbage, bean sprouts, and scallions -- was perfectly cooked... loved it. Our server, May, was very personable and provided excellent service. Kirin Ichiban and a small bottle of Suijin sake rounded out a really enjoyable evening. The dining room looks comfortable, but real sushi lovers should reserve a seat at the sushi bar. There's a large à la carte menu (you can review it on his new website), and the chef also offers a 10- or 15-course Omakase Experience. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Service very efficient and pleasant. We unknowingly went and 15 minutes later a huge birthday party…read morecame in with children, balloons and the 9 yards. This in addition to an already crowded Sunday early evening. The place does not have the best acoustics so we had a difficult time with loud noise. We ordered a sushi role to begin and it was quite good. This was followed by a couple of noodle dishes which was way too oily for my liking. I would return to try more sushi and maybe some curries but not the noodles again.

Snow Bunny - West Boca Raton - Chicken Katsu Bao Buns

Honestly very disappointed in this spot. For these two drinks I was charged 17.66$ which is absurd…read morefor quality of the drinks. I asked for less ice and less sweetness, and they failed to inform me that it costs an additional $1 for less ice. I have never heard of this happening before- I understand that you use more product, but you should inform the customer before you add that charge. My annoyance only grows as I left my drink for 15 minutes and the milk and matcha completely separated, please see the photo attached. Overall, the matcha itself was not good. It's very grainy and had no flavor. Additionally upon reviewing the menu, each "snow drink" comes with a foam topping which I was not asked about and not received. The ube taro smoothie's first sip was amazing, but every other sip tasted like ube flavored ice water. The actual boba pearls themself are taste great, but they stick together and I can't even get the drink or the boba up the straw. I wouldn't recommend coming here for the boba and I don't plan on coming back.

I loved the decor immediately, as an otaku it felt a bit like Weeb Heaven seeing large holographic…read moreNaruto, Aang, and Goku [the awesome 3] in large frames on the far right as you enter and the poster walls with iconic anime characters in the bathroom hallway were a very nice touch. They also had Astro Boy playing on the bar TV! Astro Boy was also featured on their menu alongside Sailor Moon. The font and graphics on the menu gives manga. I wish I could rave about the food as much as the decor but unfortunately, it was pretty displeasing, to say the least. I had an order of the chicken Katsu Bao buns. I am a huge fan of dim sums and Bao buns (I typically don't eat the open-face ones) so this was very disappointing. The Katsu was so dry, overcooked, and chewy that it seemed like it was leftover, not fresh at all! I'll pass on Baos from here next time. The bobas were great though I got the matcha milk and my cohort got the Ube taro. They were delicious and bobalicious [they were not stingy with the boba] The cashier was very welcoming and our waitress was nice and attentive. The food alone would make this a one-star review but the boba and ambiance helped get it up to 4 stars. I recommend their Bobas, be cautious when ordering food.

I was so happy to find a Chinese takeout place that had vegan protein options, most notably that…read moremany of the chicken items could be made with tofu! I got the Sesame Tofu, and it was a good-sized portion of nicely fried tofu and lots of perfectly cooked broccoli. My boyfriend got the Garlic Chicken combo dinner and he was pleasantly surprised with everything, even the wonton soup that came with his meal. The guy working there that day was not expecting us to want to dine in, since it seems like all of their customers order takeout or delivery, but he gladly gave us some disposable plates and plastic utensils after we got our food in takeout containers. He was very nice and seemed both appreciative and amused that I attempted to speak in Cantonese with him (I am very rusty). Again, since it's a takeout spot, there were only two small tables inside and no outdoor seating, but it was extremely clean inside and very bright, unlike most Chinese takeout spots. Would happily come back here and try other tofu dishes!

Going to retry tonight after 3 years. Parking difficult and need to turn around on powerline…read moreinconvenient. We thought prices were excessive 3 years ago. I'll update my post after retry. Here's the update. 2 combo dinners were $49. Mongolian Beef my wife enjoyed. My kung pao chicken was satisfactory but not special. Our two sides were egg rolls which are large and good. Florida thick skin egg rolls. In Chicago there is a thinner skin preferred by us - but wtf do we know using knives and forks for pizza. I digress. My hot n sour soup EXCELLENT. We opted for white rice with both orders. Order ready as promised in 15 minutes. Again - the parking is difficult and high curb along with tree roots make exiting my car a challenge. I recommend parking to the South of the building and getting some exercise with less risk of falling.
