I have a regular meeting near this Aldi and I always try to wait to shop this store in particular. There is always plenty of parking, easy to get in and out with the self checkout, and never had an issue with not finding something I wanted. The produce at Aldi is sometimes hit and miss, but always cheaper than other stores. The dried mango slices are a go to snack and the milk and egg options are always just as good as other stores, and a lot cheaper. Never had any issues with people bothering me and the cashiers are nice if you do have to wait in line instead of self checkout. Came in to get some items for Thanksgiving. I usually come here every year to buy items because they have Butterball turkeys at very reasonable prices. I got at 12 lb turkey for $1.29 per pound. Their fresh veggies are always great and cheaper than most places. I also got some sliced sourdough bread, assorted crackers, and bagels. Ever go somewhere for a couple of things and then walk out with like 20 ? Yep, that's exactly what I did. The only negative I can say is that their cash register was very unorganized and messy. There were boxes and boxes stacked at the cash register and miscellaneous items down the entire span of the conveyor belt. The gentleman at the cash register was very friendly. He was very chipper when he said hello, rang me up, then asked if I wanted to borrow the cart since I had so many items. (Like I said, I bought more than I intended lol) I even managed to get a bottle of wine from New Zealand. I thanked him, but told him I'd manage. Nice to see such good customer service though ! As Aldi go this is a pretty good one. It's clean, organized, and generally well stocked. Prices are at or below what I would expect. They don't always have a cashier though now with the self-service lanes which can be annoying. I am a former cashier so I am pretty fast but there's always some minor issue and not every customer is very good at it. Of course every grocery store has self-check nowadays but one draw of Aldi is how fast and knowledgeable their cashiers were/are. One other downside is that the produce section is quite small. And don't forget a quarter for the shopping cart and bags to make life easier. read more

Bring a quarter and bring your own bags. Aldi has great groceries but it is minimal service and that means things are a little cheaper for it. You'll need that quarter to release the lock on your shopping cart and you'll get that back when you bring the cart back. No need for cart corralers (or cart corrals!) if all the carts come back to the store, right? The quality is very good but the selection is limited. You'll have one or two of each item rather than a full spread of competition here. That's okay and Aldi has been moving in more name brands and fewer "off-brand" products. The shelves aren't very pretty and there may be a bit of cardboard display stuff, but again, that's saving you money. Produce section is limited but also good quality. Stuff isn't sold by weight here, because scales cost money. You'll be getting bags of tomatoes or onions or potatoes, rather than picking through a bin and paying for them by weight. Lots of dairy, fresh foods and dips, plenty of cheese but only one kind of eggs. Frozen is great but the selection is similarly limited. Aldi started accepting credit cards for purchases a while ago and that convenience is helpful. Your cashier will ring up your groceries and put them back into the cart. Over to the side, there's a counter where you can bag them up yourself (they might have some boxes) and you're out to the car. Easy, inexpensive, not high service. That's Aldi. read more

Aldi is AMAZING! Such great value. Your dollar will go a lot further here than it would at a traditional grocery store. I haven't had any problems with the aldi brand yet and I've been coming here for a long time. Everything is so much less expensive here so you really do get more for your money. Bring a quarter so you can get a shopping cart. And don't forget to bring you town bags too! Or you can just grab one of the empty boxes in the store and make it your giant carry all so you so you don't have to spend 7 cents on a paper bag to take home. Be like me and buy the bags and then never remember to bring them back to aldi so it's just an endless cycle of bag buying. Aldi has an amazing thing called "the aisle of shame". It's an aisle in the middle of the store that basically sells anything including the kitchen sink. Fall in love with a satin sheet set while trying on a pair of bumble bee rain galoshes in your size! Today was the very last time I will step foot in this Aldi. The older man who is the cashier has finally done it for me. He has yelled at me before, but today he humiliated me in front of every customer waiting to pay in line at the front of the store on a busy Saturday. I am on the other side of Covid and had on a N95 mask for others' protection. I was checking myself out. It rang up grapes too many times. I signaled for help & he proceeds to yell at me from across the store. When I responded, he told me he could not hear me with "that mask" on! At that point I told him I could not remove it, as every customer looked at me ... total embarrassment & humiliation. Never will I go in there again! We continued to yell across the store. I really like this store! I come here weekly for my groceries. I can get a ton of organic produce for half the price at the regular grocery store. The produce is usually very fresh and the prices are just incredible. They carry their own line of products (much like Trader Joe's) The savings are passed on because they don't use cart return people (you have to bring a quarter to rent the cart and your quarter is returned when you return the cart), they don't spend time on stocking (the items on the shelves are not individually unpacked but rather the entire box is set on the shelf), there are barcodes on all sides of the products so that when they are checking you out they aren't searching for the barcode. The lines here are usually long but they move really fast. My grocery bill is usually about $50 for so many groceries. I nicked one star because even though I can get almost everything at this store, I still inevitably have to stop at a regular grocery store to get an item or two. read more

Aldi is like the Sam's Club of grocery stores. There are no frills, you have to pay a quarter for your cart, and there are no baggers because there are generally no bags. This location, in front of the Black Lion has bags for purchase, something I had not yet seen in an Aldi. The cashier and the selection were in line with other Aldi's I have been to. This location in particular I think needs to do a better job with scheduling employees because the lines were ridiculous. They also only take cash or debit cards, so be aware when you get to the checkout line. read more

I love Aldi! Where else can you purchase avocados for $0.59 each?? Aldi's business model is phenomenal. Why pay extra on food items just to cover extraneous overhead costs (plastic bags, fancy product displays, laborers bagging stuff for you)? I really don't like the wastefulness of plastic shopping bags (I'm looking at you, Harris Teeter!), so I love that I can come to Aldi, shop, grab a few boxes off the shelf, and pack up my groceries by myself. Aldi has also been increasing their organic product offerings, which I love. They now have nitrite-free bacon and organic salad greens, in addition to the many wonderful food items they've always sold. Have you tried their bacon-wrapped filets? They're $4 for two whole cuts of beef! This store is truly amazing. I recommend Aldi to any person looking to save money on great food! read more

Went to Aldi Park Road in Pineville this evening and I could not believe how dirty and poorly stocked this store was. I only saw two employees and both were on the registers. The girl checking me out was not nice either. Food Lion will get my business until things change for the better. read more

Once upon a time I go there for my favorite dark chocolate. Great quality, and you cannot beat the price. Veggie and fruits change there with season and in the summer time their raspberries were the best tasting and again, of course, the price is very good. read more

Visited yesterday for the first time. Great updated store, inventory is well sorted but the cashier's attitude was horrible! Stood in line at the far left check out line around 5ish. She clearly had a bad day, in pain (wearing a wrist brace on her right arm) but the vibe and facial expression along with her snippy comments were a complete turn off. No welcome, or the standard "did you find everything ok". Even after the final transaction I gave her the opportunity to pull herself together and give me an ounce of friendly customer service after I kindly said "I hope your day gets better" and she simply looked at me and gave me a heinous laugh. No farewell greeting. I left and questioned if I should return or go back to my regular location in Fort Mill after their renovation completes. Great low prices! It definitely cuts my grocery bill down! Also, I bought zucchini there last Saturday and within 2 days it started to rot and I hadn't even opened it yet. By far one of my favorite places to buy groceries. The prices are typically unbeatable, and the quality is pretty good. It is sometimes hard to gauge what they will have in terms of vegetables but they always have something good for a great price. There have been a couple times I have bought bread and had to return it due to it being moldy. The fruits also go bad a bit faster than other places I have noticed but if refrigerated it can be preserved for a bit longer. read more
