After 7 years, it's time to update my FTR on this wonderful grocery store. Some things have changed, some things have not. You still need to bring a quarter to unlock your shopping cart (which you will get back when you return it). You still need to bring your own reusable bags and you're still going to be bagging them yourself. What's improved is the quality. I find the store to have excellent produce, dairy, milk and meat. We picked up two amazing steaks for $5 each that were as good as a $15 steak at the other supermarket chain. They don't have everything. You're still going to need to go to Publix or Harris Teeter to fill in for some of the stuff that they just don't sell at Aldi. That's okay because your full cart of stuff here is going to be way less expensive than what you're buying at the other stores. Aldi does now accept credit cards and that's a huge plus. No carrots, cabbage going bad, and other produce not available or going bad makes this Aldi miss the mark. Not good. On the plus side, checkout was a breeze. Maybe next time it'll be better as with Aldi, it is what it is, hit or miss. read more

Help us all, I drove way over to the University area to get LouAnn's peanut oil in the 1gal 3.5L bottle to avoid buying the 3 pack and Aldi's had it for $9. Peanut Oil for Turkey frying Sam's = $10+ Aldi's = $9+ Wal-Mart = $12+ Talk about whew. I don't care for the surly service that I usually get here but Corporate Aldi's handles it pretty decent. I will say a good amount of things were marked down Wednesday before Thanksgiving 2017. I actually walked right up to an open line and got out. You can catch some fairly decent things from time to time but I go for produce (fruit and veggies) that are cheap and fresh PLUS bread. read more

This aldi is was remodeled about a yr ago. and they do restock vegetables and fruit daily. The staff is pretty helpful if you ask about items needed but suing peak hours after work or church on Sunday la they are really busy. They have about 6 register lanes and today when I had to check out they started with 2 then opened up 2 more the line was so long, so I was thankful for that. Definitely one of my fav grocery stores. read more

Just bring a quarter to get a cart outside and bring your own bags or ask if they have any empty boxes you can have. I've been coming here since 2006 and I have never had a bad experience at all. If you have never been in an Aldi store then you need to check them out. This store had a good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables at very low prices. I saw a large selection of baked goods but I took a pass on those as I saw an open package which could have been done by a customer or a careless stock person. Either way, I skipped that section and went over to get some chicken. Again the prices on the meats were also very low and they had a lot of different cuts to choose from. In addition to food Aldi offers household products such as blankets, some clothes, bath mats, cleaning products, baby care items and specialty items for the home like patio furniture and small gifts. The prices are reasonable but if you want it, you should get it as once it goes, it is gone. Service: There is no real service here. It is self-serve and then you go pay at the register. Bring your own bag or box and you are on your way. For what it is, discount shopping you will get a good deal everyday. I recommend you try it. read more

I normally go to a Aldi that is closer to my house but since this one is closer to work I've decided to stop by on my way home while waiting for the Friday traffic to slow down. It does not not matter which one you go, Aldi always looks the same. Although, this one, in my opinion, seem to be smaller than the ones in other locations. Seriously, I have never been to a Aldi where the staff was SO nice! They are so nice that I've been thinking about going there every time I need to go to the grocery store instead going to the one near my house. I love their frozen section, deli section and desserts. I also love the pork ribs they have. Besides being nice ribs they are cheap. Aldi is my every week grocery spot and this one became my favorite! read more

I am a huge Aldi fan. You can generally get fresh produce, eggs, and cheese for very reasonable prices. Until I lived in Charlotte, I never really had an issue with cleanliness at these stores. However, this store suffers from a funky odor (like something rotted) that makes it seem unclean. Slightly rude employees working here also does not help. Not only does it have that odor, but I came here on a Monday and they were completely out of eggs - there wasn't even a case there that contained eggs. That was weird, but hey - I came here for produce anyway. On my quest for a package of zucchini, I had to dig to the bottom and scour four packages until I found one that contained no rotting parts of the produce. Other than the few produce items I got (which I scrubbed well when I got home), I got a few packed cheese items and other shelf goods. I definitely don't feel comfortable trying to buy meat or other dairy products here. To make matters worse, I almost got bowled over twice by some employees working there. I was trying to do my shopping and one lady almost ran her stocking cart into me. She did not bother saying "excuse me" or even bother paying attention to the fact that she almost ran into me. This was frustrating, to say the least. This is not the worst Aldi location in Charlotte, but I was hoping to find a good Aldi near my home. I doubt I will be returning to this store. read more

I go to this Aldi quite often as it is less than 10 minutes away fromt my home. It always has most of the things I need, friendly employees, and good prices. Have never had an issue with this store. read more

I've shopped at Aldi for many years and have loved it, but this store is pretty awful. We recently moved here from OH where the stores were fantastic, this location has some serious problems. Constantly out of stock of basic items. Their ads drop on Wednesdays so obviously that would be a busy day for them. How can a grocery store have NO EGGS ? They have been out of stock of varoius dairy items like almond milk and half and half for OVER TWO WEEKS? I have to drive 20 minutes to get to this store and often cannot get 1/2 the items on my list , OUT OF STOCK. The staff basically shrug and say its a busy store...well if it's that busy perhaps someone should order stock accordingly. Sorry to say I'm done, not wasting gas and my time to shop here. read more

I love that Aldi's has SO many organic options from produce to meat etc. Although there are some basic things you may not find on a trip here, it's always a main stop for me. I had never been in an Aldi before stopping here before a painting class to pick up some snacks. It's ok, definitely good if you are very price sensitive and do not need name brand items. The isles are very short and their selection is limited. The cashier was nice, but he sits, you load the belt, and there are no bags, kind of like a Sams or other club store. There was also only one cashier, but the line went pretty quick. read more

I typically like shopping at Aldi but this is by far the worse Aldi I have been to. The food is poorly stocked and they don't have a fresh product refrigerated area. It typically looks unorganized and low on items. read more
