Bad service, it was my first time nobody explain about the cars or the bag issues cashier wasn't polite really bad service AVOID THAT STORE

This is the worst Aldi of all the stores in the OC!!! This tall guy , Jorge , is extremely rude, never friendly, always grumpy with customers and every time you ask for help he is disrespectful and yelling. I was at the counter yesterday July 3,2024 for price check and he was not paying attention. When Îve asked him for help he raised his hand on my face and he yelled asking WHAT? What??? While his hand in motion upside down!!! What a nasty, gesture to a customer who just wants to buy something! And for him to be employed at this company!!! His pay check comes from the customers!!! Does Aldi even care when their employees are not fit to do the right customer service??? This is complete abuse to customers! As he feels comfortable being rude, nasty, disrespectful and all! And he thinks he is allowed to carry on such arrogance! There is karma in this world! No stars is what they deserve! Esp. For this tall guy who is very rude, arrogant and disrespectful! Great prices tbh. A lot of things to choose from. Big problem for me is the cashiers. They book it and do not help you put items in a bag... they go so fast you feel rushed! Even if you buy their bags or you are being mindful and take your own. It stresses me out every time I pay. read more

So it took me awhile, (like everything else I do) but I finally made it to Aldi. As the holidays grow near, I somehow am short of ingredients for dinner parties at our place. That, and items needed for Taco Tuesdays, Thanksgiving, and occasional this and that pretty much was the reason why I came here today. Well, that and the $10 off $40 coupon they had in the last week's circular. Needless to say when the eggs are only $0.85 a dozen, the Butterball Turkey are $0.99 cents a pound (without buying some crazy amount just to get that price like the national chain), and a decent price on ground beef that's made in the USA ($2.99 for 80/20), I was able to get my $40 worth with ease. Now, they don't have everything I need and the aisles are really confusing here. This week, I'm making a chimichurri sauce and red wine vinegar is one of the ingredients. No go and neither was fresh parsley. I think I found condiments and oil on one aisle as well as another aisle in the baking section. So layout is definitely strange here. You can find snow shovel in this store when there's no snow around in the last I don't know how many years here in the southland. Yes, you need to bring a quarter to get a cart or you can scan the parking lot to see if anyone got lazy and just dropped their cart. I got lucky because I didn't have any change and found one. You'll also need to bring your shopping bags here. The girl at the checkout counter was not the friendliest, but nothing scanned incorrectly so I was happy about that. Since my turkey was $0.99 on sale, you'll see they first scan the regular price then they will do a deduction based on the sale price. That was a little confusing at first. I found small bag of pine nuts for $1.99 here and almost bought it for my usual pesto sauces. I also almost bought some chicken wing sauce that was garlic and parmesan for $1.79. There are quite a bit of items that I almost bought because it wasn't expensive and it was interesting. This place is kind of like the 99 cent stores for people who cook except items are not 99 cents. But it's close enough. I do like this place but you won't get that exciting shopping experience like your neighborhood Ralphs or Trader Joes. However, if you have the time to browse and want to see and try something different , especially their private label items that are priced to sell, you have to come here and see for yourself. Oh, just make sure you bring a quarter to house your shopping goods so you can free up that locked up cart. read more

Really love Aldi! Always get what I need at good prices. Like the quality of their products too. Recently the BP Aldi rearranged all their isles. It makes finding what you need difficult. I find I am all over the store searching for what I need. I wish they would go back the way the had it. Otherwise I'm very glad to shop here. Can't beat the prices and quality. read more

Beware, they lie. They may advertise their products through their mail ads, but when you arrive, they have no inventory and will not honor with rainchecks. The manager was also rude and could not prove the sale was a specific day item instead of a weekly item. read more

I am definitely a big fan of Aldi! They carry fresh produce and you can't beat their prices. I was able to get avocados for .20 cents a piece! A few things to note when shopping here: 1) you need a quarter to get a cart. You'll get it back when you return your cart. That's how they can Lower the cost of their products. Not having to hire people to fetch the carts :) 2) you have to bag your own groceries. Another way for them to cut cost on their products. They have a section in the front where you can bag your items. 3) I suggest going there on Wednesdays. I think that's when they get new shipments. Get first grabs on everything :) If you want someone to bag for you and put away your cart, you may not like it here. This is my new go to market! Sorry staterbros! read more

I feel like so many people LOVE Aldi. It's just not for me. There are so many things I shop for that they don't carry even in an "alternative brand". I've been three times and each time the line was obnoxiously long. I mean so long, no one knew where it ended. It was straight down the middle aisle and customers to the left and right aisles were trying to merge like they were at the Orange Crush. So many people and only one cashier. One time I abandoned my purchase and went to another market. It just wasn't worth the wait. Maybe it's just this location. I don't know, but I'll be sticking to my usual market instead. read more

Pretty much my new favorite grocery store- but the inside just is kind of meh . Not sure what it is? Maybe the lighting? The color? Not sure, but outside of my weird feng shui issues, the products and price are always wonderful! The produce that I get from here is always very fresh! I usually buy squash, zucchini, tomatoes, salad stuff, and fruits, and when I get home and unpacked, I'm never disappointed is what I've purchased. Meaning- there's never mystery sorts spots, or rotten, bottom-of-the-container strawberries. Their cheese and meat selections are BOMB! So bomb. And they have their own brand of protein bars (Evolution) that have macros comparable to some of the top products out there. I like that. I like the produce prices, they're quite reasonable and usually fairly stocked. I'm not a fan of many of the Aldi brand when it comes to anything dairy. I bought their fit and light active shredded cheese and cooked it. It never melted. What is this stuff? What I don't like is it's difficult to find a worker if you're looking for an item that's not on the shelf. There are 5 lanes typically with one open. Today there were two lanes open, but one cashier only had his open to bring down the line. When I got in line there were three people in front, two who had a lot of items, myself and another person. The smart thing to do would be to bring us over. Instead he walked away to go push one of the bins to a different aisle, meanwhile the line is getting longer. He finally comes back and I'm still stuck behind the large purchases and the people behind me finish before me. They should make one lane a self serve lane since there's hardly ever a second cashier. I wish they would put more people on. They want you to be ready and put in or swipe your card before everything is rung up. But I don't feel you should rush me if we as customers don't seem to be your priority. I go here because it's close to me since the other grocery stores have closed down. read more

I've shopped ALDI for a few years, in a few states in which my wife and I have lived, we always were satisfied with the chain until recently. We took our usual once a week trip, the employee who helped my wife was quite rude and discourteous. The cashier Amber was loud and obnoxious, saying to the customer ahead of us in a loud voice where everyone could hear her and looking at my wife, "you know some people are so rude they can't wait for a few minutes to put their items on the belt." There was no sign or anything indicating that only one customer at a time could have their items up on the belt, and I know we kept our 6 feet distance. My wife was humiliated to say the least. After she told me what had transpired I went back into the store and got into the same line. I watched the cashier for a few minutes, witnessed she didn't tell the customers who were behind us, what she remarked to my wife as she let multiple people put their items on the belt. I proceeded to Amber the cashier, asked her are you always vocally loud? Her response was, oh yeah! I like to be heard!! (Laughing as she answered). I told her you embarrassed and humiliated my wife with your comments, I asked her where's the sign at! Why didn't you say that to any of the customers behind us? Her response to me was, I was just joking, I tried to save the situation! I responded there was nothing to save! You were/are rude, you're not very professional! We'll never go to ALDI! We used to shop Aldi in the Midwest, but have been slow to shop here since there isn't one located terribly close. Today, we decided to do a side by side price comparison to see if it would be worthwhile to make the trip here every so often to save on our grocery bill. The answer was a huge YES. We saved over 40% On items we regularly buy. After buying the items at Aldi we immediately went to Ralph's to price compare. Then we went home and taste tested for brand comparison. I had recently read that their brands are made in same factories as the national brands and I 100% believe that to be true. They are no way cheap knock offs..they are the real deal. read more

I love coming to this location, first thing in the morning. The store is practically spotless and you're typically one of less than 10 other customers in the store. They have a great selection of produce, fresh fruits, and deli meats and cheeses. I also love the different little products they have for your patio or things to use around the house. Prices here are affordable and the quality is great! Aldi is my go-to for groceries because I feel you get the best deals here. The staff in this location are also very helpful and genuinely seem happy to be there. I always recommend Aldi to friends and family. read more

Hopefully management reads this. Besides being disappointed with the limited inventory to choose from I have chosen to never go back to this store because of the cashier. I had a small order and paid by card requesting cash back ($10). As the cashier handed me two fives, I said "oh I wanted a 10 dollar bill." "I thought I stated that on the screen." She proceeded to say, "I don't have any tens." then she actually pulled out her cash drawer, lifted it up and literally showed me her stack of cash and said," See, I don't have any tens." I felt she was extremely passive aggressive and acted as If i didn't believe her in the first place. Fine, she didn't have any tens, well I can live with that. It is what it is. However, to actually be so condescending and showcase the cash drawer is quite unprofessional. I doubt she learned this in her training, to show your cash drawer by lifting it out? I've read other bad reviews here and I'm pretty sure those are legit. If she treated me like this, no doubt other customers have received this poor customer service. (only cashier open 2/2/22 6:45pm pst) This employee needs to be let go. You're losing customers Aldi. read more

Normally,I buy a box of avocados every week. I'm happy with all products. But the guy who organize produce stuff(he is rude). One day,I walked in and picked my avocados. He saw me and told me that "Miss..! After u pick your avocados, organize it back the way it should be" (he's mad). I was like okay...I dont like to argue with people.here it is. I absolutely LOVE Aldi. A little background: For those that don't know, Aldi owns Trader Joe's. They also cater to usually neighborhoods in working class area. And a lot of their food is CHEAP not because it's bad or something necessarily happened but because a lot of stores have excess that Aldi can sell! Also if you noticed there are not as many employees in Aldi! They usually hire less for cost efficiency. Many of their items you'll notice is left in the boxes rather than having to shelve everything. This also saves time and money. I shop at Aldi once in a while when TJs is too far to go to. And this location seemingly has a good array of everything someone may need. It's just about like any grocery store, smaller select of items, but it has just about everything that most people need and also everything is much cheaper. Really helps for those on a budget or college fund. read more

Cashiers has terrible attitudes. It is seldom I encounter anyone friendly. I know they want to move customers along but there hardly anyone in the store. I go to this store cuz it's close to home but twice now they try to take the cart that I put my own quarter in. Why didn't they try to keep the carts from the people before me? Why can't they keep track of their own cart? I don't know what happened their cart. I know it's only a quarter and I wouldn't mind giving them my cart but because of their attitude it's hard for me to give up my quarter. read more

If you like low prices but leaving feeling absolutely stupid then have I got the store for you! I get they're trying to go for a "no frills shopping experience" however for a place with "no frills" they sure do have a lot of unspoken rules that employees will ridicule you for not knowing. Apparently on my trip there today I was guilty of wearing a backpack in the store, going the wrong way down an aisle, and bringing my own bag? Each time an employee or one of their cult like shoppers caught me breaking some rule they would say in a snippy tone "that's now how we do that here" or something of the like. I stopped in on my day off so I wasn't too dressed up but they sure did act like I was some delinquent for having a backpack as a purse. Anyways... I finally worked my way through the store and I'm getting up to the front. When I told the cashier I had brought my own bag (they don't do paper or plastic) she gave me the strangest look then proceeded to throw all my groceries back in my cart. No "oh, we actually don't bag the items for you" or "you need to bag the items yourself" just "ok...?". I pulled off to the side to get my stuff into bags so I didn't have to make another trip and the cashier looked at me like I was crazy then demanded I leave my cart where i was. I went to try and get my quarter out of the cart and she acted like I was stealing the quarter...? I'm pretty sure I figured out the whole "put your quarter in the cart, get it back when you put the cart back" rule but whatever I guess it's just a quarter. I think she eventually figured out that I was just trying to get MY quarter back and just gave me one out of the register. It was a pretty awkward experience. I've been here about 3 times now and I've yet to figure out all the micro rules and it's basically been the same cold employees every time. Not sure why the cashiers are rushing people throughout the line, when there is not much of a line. I watched the cashier hand a woman all her groceries at once. Some fell and the customer yelled oh my god as her avocados fell to the floor. The cashier then said for the woman not to yell and called a manger over. I think the exclamation was just a normal reaction to having dropped something someone handed to you. I myself also experience a rush through feeling here where the cashiers say nothing and just stare at you to pay. read more

Love our local ALDI. I've never been disappointed by their products, actually very happy with them. The cashiers are always very friendly and helpful. I have to point out that their paper towels (Boulder brand) are thee best. Better than target, walmart or the big brand names. The price is a steal. Went yesterday for the first time to this new store. Yes, it was crowded and hectic, with too many wild children and rude shoppers but it won't stay that way. Prices seemed ok, but did not seem less than other stores. I walked all the aisles and didn't see the screaming bargains I had heard about. Brand names are very few as I had heard. Most items seem to have inexpensive dollar-store packaging design, but too bad they don't have dollar store pricing as well. I purchased 5 items I needed at the same prices I pay across the street at Walmart. Quality of the few items I purchased was mostly ok, but I later found my asparagus had sand in it. At least it seemed like sand, who knows what it really was. Not a good experience. Very nice help with positive attitudes. I saw people working hard to make things go smoothly at this very busy place. I've been in retail all my life, and in fact have set up many check out lines for many different stores... and this is the worst. A customer sets their items down on the belt, just like in a normal store. Then your stuff moves along to the cashier. But after your items are rung up, there is no place for the cashier to set them. Who's bright idea is this? Also, this checkout design with the cashier sitting down in tight quarters just makes it necessary for them to reach, twist and turn too much. It's not an easy and natural set of movements for the human body. It's actually easier to stand and do this job. Ask any long-term cashier. Overall, I'm glad to see a market open in my area. I was expecting more from a company with such a sterling reputation, though. read more

Sorry to say this, but to me, based upon their lack of diversity items and employees, Aldi is Oddie. Plus, they have a lack of cashiers. Not worth the hype IMO. I was in the area tonight and decided to stop by and see what's up. I was low on raspberries and blueberries and they were priced more than they are at Sprout. I ended up paying $30 for about 5 things so I don't know where all the super savings come from. Everything is generic in the store as in Wizards instead of Leprechauns in the Lucky Charm boxes. You need a quarter to get a cart and if you don't have one then your screwed. A man didn't have one just as I was leaving so I gifted him my quarter. I guess it's a good place to to get good karma. Bring your own bag. Or pay .10 for paper or .15 for plastic. I was smart to read reviews before coming so I was prepared but the man paying ahead wasn't and the rude ass cashier didn't tell him until he asked after he paid. I felt bad for the dude as he walked out with a handful of generic crap. It was the end of the night so maybe the two cashiers didn't feel like being professional. They kept hollering at one another while they rang people up and playing basketball with boxes. I get it...low prices equals crappy customer service. Overall, meh. I went to the meat section and it was similarly priced to my Trader Joes so I didn't bother. I did get a 24 pack of water for $1.99 so that was as spectacular as it got. oh I do not like this store. First thing that made me not happy was you needed a quarter to get a shopping cart. So I scrounged around the bottom of my handbag and came up with a few dimes and a nickel so I went back to my car and located a quarter and freed a cart to be used. I went in and the store was open and organized, but the selection was meh. But I push on. The produce while limited in selection the necterines I purchased were really good. Oh they won't bag for you, not a deal breaker as I usually bag myself at Trader Joes, just to pass the time while my groveries are being rung up. But they say Thank you. Seriously? I don't know what everyone sees in this store. Southern CA is the most competitive grocery store region in the world. It's clear they did zero research about the area (the 'hispanic section' is frankly offensive) preferences. First, there's minimal choices for key items. One case for ice cream and popsicles and 2, count them, 2 options for toilet paper. The bottled water section looked like it was being rationed. This won't last in Southern CA, it's a picky fierce market - so not Germany. The checkers sit down - (it's been tried before and it doesn't work) and then load your groceries into a different cart from which you then reload into the cart you got because you had a quarter - again, no research and no common sense. Also, they were slow and not friendly. I'm fine with surly employees but at least have a personality. The product is all in cardboard boxes, it looks shabby and it won't hold up in a moderately busy store. The pasta and grains were all collapsing under the weight of the product. The bread is still in the racks and the water/juice on pallets! It's so lazy. Plus, the food quality and ingredients are a joke. Trader Joe's has interesting products with quality ingredients - this place slaps their label onto rice o'roni and calls it a day. Where's the quality? Every sliced meat had Nitrites and Nitrates - really? Catering to the gluten free crowd isn't going to fool savvy label readers. I did find a salsa I am excited to try and looked for chips - there weren't any nearby. Lazy product placement leads to lost sales and frustrated consumers. Lots of unused space and retail commercial space isn't cheap. This place won't last. Thank the gods this brother left Trader Joe's. I'll take Cerritos Trader Joe's on a Sunday to this empty weird store any day. Laughable attempt. Aldi's is out of their league, they will be gone before the holidays. read more
