Great value and workers have all been friendly ... until today. I have brought my small dog with me for about year, with no issues, and usually friendly response. Since I knew of no policy, I assumed it was ok. Today, I was going down the aisle and noticed a female employee (probably a manager) pushing a wide cart in my direction. I knew there was not enough room, so (although I am the customer and have the right of way) I backed up, moved aside and let her through. She pushed the cart through, and I smiled as I saw her starting to say something (I vainly assumed it would be "thank you"); however, she said rudely, "You can finish shopping, but you cannot take that dog into the store again. Only service animals are allowed." I was somewhat taken aback by her tone, and I said, "OK," and she moved on without another word.
I since read that it has to do with federal policy regarding possible issues regarding food. That is all good and well, but the issue I have is with her rudeness. That is not how you resolve problems or deal with customers. If she is a manager, she should know better. I have been a regular customer for years, and that is not a good way to treat steady clients. read more
