As it turns out the leak they didn't find was on my side of the line! I also asked if they could put a new flapper on a toilet they said yes and did it. Then upon turning the water back on they said the toilet was leaking and had to be replaced. So they replaced it for $1200. I had no idea what it should really cost until later. Later I googled the actual toilet installed and prices were $200-$400. Which means they charged me between $800-$1000 for the half hour of labor to install the new one and remove the old one. I found out the labor costs should have been $200-$400. So their charge of $800-$1000 is beyond ridiculous price gouging!! It would seem once S&D was acquired by Beyond Wow Plumbing they decided to make their prices give you a stroke. Avoid this company at all costs!!

Puncturing an internal PVC plumbing pipe, illegally wrapping it in black duct tape, and immediately hiding it behind the new siding is not a 'punch-list' item - it is active fraudulent concealment. The 'Fraudulent' Financing: We authorized the payment because they claimed to follow actively concealed the duct-taped plumbing. Inducing a customer to authorize a loan by hiding severe damage is the legal definition of fraudulent concealment. Contradictory Public Statements & The BBB Complaint: JP Exteriors is using public platforms to feign cooperation. On our active BBB complaint, they claim they are waiting for our independent inspection report before taking action. However, their own written record proves they inspected the property themselves on June 11th and issued a superficial patching offer on June 22nd. The very next day, they explicitly stated in writing they were not willing to expand their scope to a full replacement, formally refusing to cure the hidden defects before our third-party inspection was even conducted on June 24th. The 42-page independent inspection report, which we received on June 29, definitively confirms that the widespread, concealed code violations and structural deficiencies cannot be resolved through superficial patching. The back room of my house is sectioned off from the main structure. The contractors completed the main house, packed up their truck, and were actively ready to leave. They did not say a word to me about any issues. I had to stop them and explicitly ask, "How did you get into the top of the back room to put insulation in?" Only AFTER I asked this direct question did the contractor finally admit, "We were not able to access the room." Had I not stopped them to ask, they would have driven away and left me under the false impression that my entire home had been insulated as promised. To make matters worse, when I confronted them about trying to leave without telling me, Justin shifted the blame onto me, saying something along the lines of, "Well, you knew about it and should have told us." He then claimed, "There is no possible way for us to get back there." I find it highly unlikely that it was truly "impossible" to access; it felt much more like they simply did not want to do the extra work or take the time to adjust the original estimate. Further, Justin defensively informed me something along the lines of, "I am not arguing to get paid." I had not said a single word about withholding payment; his immediate defensiveness showed exactly where his priorities were. As the professionals hired to do a job, it is their responsibility to inspect the site and communicate issues not blame the homeowner or get defensive about money. A professional contractor should proactively communicate and adjust the final invoice, rather than hiding incomplete work and hoping the homeowner doesn't notice. I cannot recommend a business that operates with this lack of integrity. Ultimately, the company did deduct $288.00 from the final invoice to account for the uninsulated room, and as far as I can tell, the main portion of the house was insulated correctly. For those reasons, I am leaving two stars instead of one.
