I purchased a used 2014 BMW from this dealership and have had nothing but ongoing problems with both the vehicle and the dealership's staff. After discovering oil contamination in the coolant, I was originally under the impression that the head gasket had been replaced under OpenRoad's 90-day used vehicle warranty. After getting my car back, I later found out that the head gasket had never been replaced and that only the oil filter housing gasket had been replaced instead. I repeatedly asked Mazda whether this had resolved the issue and whether any further repairs would be needed, and I was reassured that the problem had been resolved. In my experience, the 90-day used vehicle warranty was not properly honoured. Instead of addressing the underlying issue, the repair ultimately felt like a temporary band-aid fix, which left me dealing with the same problem again months later, which was not honoured by the same warranty. Several months later, the coolant became brown again. I brought the car back to Mazda, but after weeks of going back and forth, I was told there was nothing they could do. I eventually decided to bring the vehicle to OpenRoad BMW. My experience with BMW was completely different--they were professional, honest, and treated me well. BMW advised me that the current issues were likely related to the previous work performed by Mazda under warranty. I then spent weeks trying to resolve the issue with Clarence, the General Manager at Mazda Port Moody. I was repeatedly told that the repairs would not be covered, despite BMW advising that the current issues were likely related to the original warranty work. Communication with the management at Mazda Port Moody was extremely frustrating. I called multiple times trying to get answers, was repeatedly told that I would receive a call back, and often never heard back. This went on for weeks while my vehicle was sitting at BMW and was not drivable. Overall, this was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. The way this situation was handled was extremely unprofessional, and based on my experience, I would not recommend OpenRoad Mazda Port Moody to anyone.

Their return policy is awesome, and their prices for every part I have bought are considerably cheaper than LORDCO. Even with a Lordco business customer discount all the parts I have bought from B & J are cheaper. eg: Recently I purchased spark plugs for a 91 Toyota Previa, and they were over $3.00 cheaper @ B & J for the same plugs @ Lordco with business member discount. We told the story of how the car overheated while in line at the border because the fan wasn't working. He said it was likely a fuse. He pulled the faulty fuses and sold us a box of replacements. Said we should still take it into the shop to find out why the fuses blew once we get back home. This was a lot better than my original plan of adding coolant until we could get back to US and call AAA. Wish this store was in my hometown.
