He also took an additional $3,800 from us for drafting and engineering work last April of 2023 and has NEVER provided any work. He refused to give us, or the ROC, the name of the design firm he supposedly subcontracted that to. He claimed the county was holding up the permit, but the county confirmed it was never submitted. We sued and won a judgment against him, but now need the sheriff to intervene in confiscating property. Don't fall prey to this crook and professional con man.

I hired Sunset Masonry for a masonry project that involved coordination between three neighboring…read moreproperties. While the masonry work was completed, communication and project management were significant issues. On multiple occasions, the project manager initiated phone calls by immediately yelling. These calls included repeated references to cost concerns on other parts of the project which were unrelated to my scope of work. My portion of the project was limited to cutting an opening in an existing block wall and adding two columns for a gate I had already purchased. When the gate installer (one they frequently recommend) came to install the gate, he notified me that the hole was too large for my gate and there would be a noticeable gap. When I contacted the project manager to flag the issue, the response was another phone call in which I was yelled at. While the final result is functional and the gap issue was eventually resolved by adding a piece of metal, due to the communication style, lack of professional conduct, and quality control issues, I would not recommend this company, especially for larger projects or projects requiring coordination.

A few days later they were already at the house starting the repair and then the next day stuccoing the wall. I am very happy with how it turned out. My only gripe was that there was some trash(water bottles, gloves, debris) left at the house, but it took me just 10 minute to clean it up. I am mostly just impressed with how quickly this project got done. It took 6 days from the first message to have it finished.
