So we tried that, but I could not get comfortable on her table and though she applied the stones and pressure as she could, she never really achieved enough pressure to relieve my pain and situation. I left there unrelieved, and a chiropractor the next day took care of the problem. I feel like there were some language issues as well, so your experience may be different.

He politely corrected them, but they continued talking about him and I being together which just annoyed him but he kept quiet. He went in on Sunday 07/26/2026 while we are on our annual vacation, and unfortunately it ended up being the worst massage he's ever had. He's an incredibly easygoing person who never complains, so for him to come home this upset says a lot. He doesn't complain, but I have zero problem saying something. When he arrived, he was left sitting alone in the massage room for about 20 minutes before the therapist came in. During the massage, the therapist left the room around five different times. Before the session started, he specifically explained that he had a recent wasp sting and asked them to avoid that area because he had an allergic reactions few days prior and it was itchy. They completely ignored his request. The massage itself was terrible. The pressure was extremely light, barely enough to even feel like a massage. The most disturbing part was that the therapist repeatedly offered him a "happy ending" and asked multiple times if he wanted a hand job. He clearly and politely said, "No, thank you," every single time, but the offers continued. When the massage was over, he left a cash tip in the room and went to leave. The manager stopped him, insisted he hadn't paid, and demanded a receipt. He explained that he had paid but wasn't given a receipt and that his payment should be the most recent one. The manager then demanded a tip. He explained that he had already left a cash tip in the room. She made him stand there while she went to check, then came back and simply said, "Okay, you go now." From the rude staff, poor-quality massage, ignoring a health concern, repeated solicitation of sexual services, and the way he was treated at the end, this was an incredibly unprofessional experience. I would not recommend this business. There are things that need to be fixed. I hope it all gets sorted.

They consider crocs "swimming shoes" apparently. I saw a woman today in a regular T- shirt, denim shorts and crocs come inside the pool. Fully dry-obviously did not shower beforehand, which is required. There needs to be a lot more supervision. If you do plan on coming here I'd highly suggest renting out the private tubs instead so you don't have to deal with everyone else and get the ick like I did. Probably won't be coming back here though.

Other schools focus on getting you quickly out the door and leave you with basic understanding on what this profession can do. Bodhi Tree Center for Healing Arts was far from that experience. The commitment and love from the owners to teach their students the years of education and experience is incredible. They go beyond what normal teachers would do to help you succeed in whatever you come to them with. Their flexibility and willingness to work with you, even having busy lives of their own, does not go unnoticed. As a student, besides the basic requirements, you are able to choose what classes suit you best as a therapist. I never had to be in a class I didn't have an interest in, because that's how they have set up this school. Again, you choose your path, which in the healing world is a big concept. You decide your experience, they will help facilitate. This school has been producing some of the best therapist in Reno/Tahoe/ Carson areas and also contributing to others with their continuing education classes. Thank you for all you do!

I thought the therapist had really good technique but the overwhelmingly loud music (something called tribal beat) made really relaxing very difficult, and that was without my hearing aids. People were all professional, friendly and very nice. I guess my issue was mostly a cost/value issue. I thought the prices were really high. Both of our treatments were holiday gifts. I think my daughter would go back but I just can't justify it. Guess it just comes down to what you are used to paying.
