If you ask me that is a rare combo in many health professionals! She is a true healer who loves her job and it comes through in your interactions with her. She is very thorough and intuitive. She has helped me immensely in my commitment to health and wellness! Her approach is gentle but has a huge impact on how you feel after, I have made great progress in my posture and alignment since starting as a patient with Natural balance. I have had such great outcomes that I referred a friend to her who also agrees that the care is top notch. During your first visit Chelsea really spends time with you to find out what your issues and needs are. She takes a photo of your posture and takes time checking your spine to pinpoint specific areas. During your second appointment she goes through the assessment with you thoroughly before your first adjustment. My neck has never felt so good. I feel as though I am in very good hands!

Chelsea kept my body in balance up until the day I delivered which I know helped tremendously during labor. And now for the past 2 1/2 years my son Conrad and I have rarely missed our weekly visit with Dr. Chelsea. The treatments that we received kept us super healthy! Conrad has never had an ear infection and if we got a cold it was gone fast. Along with all her care, Chelsea is also very pleasant to work with. She is always eager to help and very accommodating when scheduling appointments. Unfortunately, we recently moved away BUT we will never forget going to go get "tap-tap-tap" (as Conrad would call it) from Dr. Chelsea!!

I started going to Isthmus Wellness in July for a help with relaxation and a little fertility…read moreboost. Disclaimer: I had never tried acupuncture before and thought it was a little "woo-woo." However, I really needed to relax and figured one go couldn't hurt - if anything, it would be an experience. That first day, I talked with Lisa for over an hour (the appointment was for 90 minutes but I ended up taking 2 hours) - she's kind, funny, and I felt very comfortable talking to her. After my first acupuncture session, she gave me some tips for relaxation rituals other practices at home that could help me achieve my dual goals of ruminating less and starting a family. I went to see her twice before getting a positive! I have been continuing once a week during my first trimester and it is so relaxing. Since I don't have a point of reference for the ups and downs of a first time mom to be (except for the internet - which can be more detrimental than helpful if you want to be able to sleep at night), Lisa has been an amazing resource on this journey. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a compassionate, holistic take on feeling better in any area of life.

She dug deep into my tailbone, even asking me if I had ever injured it. Saying "no I didn't think so" she continued to work it until it was painful. That's after spending $250 including supplements that don't work. Do better Lynsey, not all people are created equal. You've damaged me. Can't sleep, can't sit can't walk. An apology would be nice.

Blowing the lid off of one of Madison's best-kept secrets, likely to my own detriment. Do you want…read morea great massage for $35? This clinic for the Madison College massage program is your answer. Appointments are hard to come by and you are limited to four per semester if you're lucky enough to snag them, but you get a full hour in a relaxing environment. I haven't had a ton of massages, but both of the students I've seen over the last year have blown the professionals I've visited out of the water for half the price. When I first signed up for a massage here I pictured a more clinical/classroom-like setting. In reality, they've really tried to make it as much like a typical massage place as possible. There's lots of soothing music, muted shades of tan and taupe, wall sconces, baskets of decorative knick-knacks, etc. Where things get different is that you may have an instructor pop in on your session to observe or offer guidance; I've had this happen once in six visits (but that was when I was super jacked up and was probably one of the more challenging cases of the day). You also fill out an evaluation form after, but that takes only a minute or two. I've come in seeking more therapy than relaxation and the therapists I've had have been game for for concentrating on my problem areas instead of sticking to a full body massage or just integrating what they're working on that week. My most recent trips have had some nice practice perks like aromatherapy and hot towels at no additional cost. Due to the lower cost I was able to visit several times with only a couple weeks in between and build on the work done for some huge knots to the point they've almost disappeared. I'm sharing this info because they do a great job, but I also will fight you for an appointment so get your dialing finger ready.
