It's a chain so there are several of them sprinkled throughout the city. This one seemed less busy compared to the others. We ordered the sumo burger, chickn burger, onion rings and truffle fries. They were out of the pink aioli so I opted for the garlic sauce. It's a bright space that makes eating vegan food fun and easy! The only downfall was that it took a long time for us to get our food, almost 40 mins, and the restaurant wasn't even at max capacity. Something about their system messing up and there were a bunch of deliverers coming to pick up food. Pretty much everyone was waiting. They should definitely give priority to guests dining in. The worker didn't apologize for the long wait. Good thing we didn't come too hungry... Bedsides the wait, the food was tasty. My chickn burger was crunchy and a great alternative to meat. I'd come back when I'm in Amsterdam. Wish there was a spot like this in the states.

Vegan Junk Food Bar - Red velvet cake with a shit of baileys almond liqueur. Not good at all. Missing the cream cheese frosting. The icing on it was gummy.

Fast forward a few years and now I'm delighted to accompany them to vegan restaurants such as Meatless District in Amsterdam, NL. The food was exquisite as was the service. I'm now obsessed with watermelon sashimi. I prefer this vegan bitterballen to the traditional because I didn't like the texture of the meat inside. I feel the dutch really like pureed meat. The mushroom bitterballen was so delicious as was everything else. The braised artichoke was just ok. Nothing to write home about but nothing wrong with it. It's just that everything else was so unique including the desserts. Lovely ambiance in the restaurant. I give my experience a 4 overall for the artichoke and I must mention the bathroom. This is more of a Dutch thing than anything else. Gender neutral bathrooms are cool. We Americans don't see that a lot. The problem is the individual stall was up a flight of stairs and so small that I couldn't even sit on the toilet and then there was nothing to pull myself up to get out the position I had gotten myself into. It was awkward. This stall needs a bar or something to help those of us who are not as able as we used to be. I'd go eat here again to try more of their dishes.

We came with our family and loved being able to walk around, check out all the different options, and grab a little bit of everything. The staff were really friendly, and I also liked that there were staff members walking around to clear your dishes once you were finished. It keeps the whole place clean and makes the experience feel more organized, especially when it gets busy. There's a lively atmosphere inside with plenty of seating, and it's a great place to come with a group since everyone can order something different. We tried a few different things, and everything was flavorful and satisfying. The variety is definitely one of the biggest draws here. There is a beer stand and couple of bars serving adult beverages to go along with the meal. I visited them the most. Ha It can get busy, especially around dinner, but that's part of the experience.
