It was very clean, shady and a great place to run off some steam. There are also no people bathrooms, just 2 porta potties. (I'm not that adventurous lol) I saw some complaints of homeless people, there weren't any around the park and my mom and I felt just fine walking in and out of the area.

This dog park fit the bill and was about a 2 minute drive once we took the exit. It's a decently sized park with a separate area for small dogs towards the back. I didn't see any faucets for running water (which is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5) but buckets are everywhere for people who bring their own water. Poop bags are available and I only saw a few pieces of poop around the park so I like to think most people clean up after themselves. There are lots of trees for shade and several benches for humans to sit and chat while the dogs run around. It's right next to a softball field, so that could be an issue when games are going on but did not affect us. All in all, I'm glad we stopped and I would definitely stop here again on another adventure!
