Great campsite, we stayed in a tent site which was awesome! The tent sites were filled with little rocks instead of dirt which was cool, it stayed cleaner. The site had electricity, water, fire pit, lock box, covered picnic table, benches and it is fenced in so it is pretty private. The restrooms and showers were very clean, pretty much everything was very clean. The man who worked at night was super cool and helpful. He helped get us some firewood since we did not have any. We slept well through the night, freeway was not a problem. It is in the city so I understand city noise being possible. I would definitely stay again. read more

This has to be one of the best run KOA's that I have been to. At check in, the nice gentlemen who runs the gate escorted us to our site and made sure we were all set to hook up, level, straight. The bathrooms are very nice and clean. Garbage is picked up from your site. Just all around very well organized and well run. So why not a five star? It isn't really camping - more of just a parking lot. It is off the freeway and sort of in a neighborhood or industrial area. It is a great stop over location or home base kind of place if you are going to do activities around the area. Side note - we were able to get delivery here from the local pizza shop, Straight Up Pizza. After a full day of driving and getting in late this was a life saver. Not to mention, their pizza was really great! read more

My family and I stayed one short night at this campsite on our way through the states, so unfortunately we didn't get to experience a lot of the amenities. The pool looked nice and I wish we could've used it! We were very close to one of the bathroom/laundry buildings. They were nice, probably quite new. The laundry section is always open, $2.25 to wash and $1.75 to dry. The exterior bathroom door opens to a little hallway with four doors in it, three of which lead to private full bathrooms. The showers were nice, although there was A LOT of standing water and only one small floor mat, so I was slipping around a bit. The floor drain outside the shower wasn't very strategically placed. There was a really nice off-leash fenced dog area with doggy bags provided, and we really appreciated that. Otherwise, the campsite was neat and well-paved, gated, and comfortable. read more

This place is good. One of the better places we've stayed at on our 6 month trip. Clean, friendly, level and good amenities. That's all we can ask for during our stays. Super clean and very nice park. We just needed a quick overnight stay during our move to Texas. Originally we thought we would need 3 days to make the trek and made reservations at Grants and Amarillo KOA. 2 spaces at each as we had an additional truck and utility trailer with us. On the first day made realized we were making great time and could make it to our new home in 2 days if we pushed through and stayed in Albuquerque. Sadly the Grants and Amarillo locations would not budge on refund so we would be out $300+. I called the Albuquerque KOA and they were SO kind and welcoming. Even had a place for us to park our 2nd vehicle at no additional cost. Customer service was top notch. Bathrooms and showers immaculate. Every site well groomed. We had also heard horror stories of people moving and staying in Albuquerque and having vehicles broken into and stolen. We felt so safe inside the gates of this KOA. I highly recommend. read more

*Cabin review* We arrived late and the staff that meet us was extremely pleasant. Even offering to keep the pool open a little late so we could swim as it'd been a long day. (Which we did) The cabin was great. Fridge, sink with dishes and plates. Palmolive too. Bedrooms were clean and well appointed. Plus window units in each living space. Bathrooms clean and tidy. These are a true bargain compared to hotel suites and because they're separate from other structures, there's no midnight stair and floor racing or early birds out to get the first waffles. What more could you ask for when driving across the country on a summer vacation? read more

Wow, If I could give more than 5 stars then I most definitely would. This is an immaculate campground. You don't even have to find a dumpster for your trash. Just place your trash curbside and they will pick it up......fast! All spots are very nice....especially for the larger RV. They go out of their way to help. For instance, the maintenance manager saw us working on our bicycle cover hanging from the back of our RV. We asked if he had rope in the KOA store. He called the office and no rope so he went to his maintenance shed and found us some. We also noticed a propane tank was low at one of the open barbecue spots. We told the office and within 5 minutes, they were taking care of it. The only bad things are the I40 noise and that the park is located in a sketchy neighborhood. But campground is fenced and gated and we never felt unsafe. We would definitely stay here again. read more

This was in a very sketchy area. I thought we'd be able to ride our bikes to the grocery store but there was nothing really close except family dollar. Got an Uber to walmart & the man warned us not to walk outside at night. The park was okay, the front desk ladies were nice. Other staff not so friendly. Nice laundry & shower rooms. In my travels moving from North Cali to NM, I stayed at this KOA. At first making the reservation over the phone was a bit troublesome. I was driving with my travel tailor and the lady asked for my credit card to reserve it--the past 4 KOA didn't do this. I gave her my numbers.. ummm well some numbers.. and she accepted them lol. I really thought, this is going to be a very lame place to stay. At first sight, everyone was very helpful and took care of me so much--must have been my smile. The best customer service. Yes the location is not the best, but it is safe inside the KOA grounds. Join the family, and all will be ok. Please let me digress. Tonight, I saw the New Mexico sky-- beautiful display of lightning and winds that made me remember how much I missed it. Cali. Does not have this! The smell of the rain, the sound of the crack of lighting and my hair blowing across my face. I could stand here all night long. First, I should say, we normally stay in State Parks, so probably not fair to judge a KOA to them. Big reason for two, not one star is the bathrooms were clean. After checking in, discovered staff did not have much information about area, no detail to anything written in the handout they give you. Why two stars: after asking third staff member about areas to visit, response was to be back in the park before dark as KOA in bad neighborhood?!?! Made for an unrestful night. read more

Had family come to visit me, and this where they stayed. ADORABLE cabins. Beds were comfy enough (a queen and a bunk bed). Cabins have fridge and microwave. Outside porch has bench and swing, fire pit, grill, and picnic table. Very, very cute You could probably find a motel for a little cheaper, but this was definitely more my vibe! I was a little uncomfortable after the sun went down - the surrounding neighborhood seems less-than-desirable, and the cabin was RIGHT on the street, RIGHT at the entrance. I think I would have felt more comfortable had there been lots of other campers there, but it was the middle of the week and we were pretty much the only ones, although way across the lot there were a couple of RVs. This is a very nice KOA. Lots of sites, but well laid out nice and level. We have a cumbersome 41 foot 5th wheel but both times we stayed there in May 2020 we had no problems at all ....many nice big RVs there. Like many KOAs the only drawback is they are right up against the I40....so overnight or short stay here, don't spend your vacation here. The neighborhood is pretty sketchy....just go to and from the park....once you get into the park it is nice and they do have gates that close at night. We will be back whenever we travel thru ABQ! read more

Conveniently located off the highway. Great for a quick stop on a road trip. We didn't like the location as far as the surroundings. Lots of apartments and businesses. Staff in the office was pleasant and fast. We reserved the lodge cabin even though it was overpriced. No bedding the first time we checked in but they quickly brought us some as bedding was supposed to be included. On our way back home, we checked in again and this time, there were no pillows for the bunk bed or toilet paper. It was after hours before we noticed so we just made do. Pros: Convenient off highway, clean lodge (did not try camp bathrooms). Cons: Loud neighborhood, odd location, overpriced lodge Will not stay here again unless in same situation and need a quick stop on a road trip. Motel lodging with hotel prices. read more

I just have to say we have been incredibly happy so far. Our first day here we were pleasantly welcomed by Julie, Delinda and Jerry. All were very nice, professional and extremely accommodating as our plans are to stay long term. I've read reviews about the hiway noise and "bad neighborhood", please don't let this detour your stay here. It's an extremely convenient location as everything is very close. If you want to stay where there is no traffic noise go to the mountains. The neighborhood really isn't that bad but we just moved from Northeast Las Vegas, NV (not the best part of town) and I feel safer here by far! The gates and security is for your safety and peace of mind. I'm glad it's gated! The grounds are beautiful and I have to say their maintenance crew do an amazing job keeping the park as beautiful as it is. I highly recommend this KOA... as we call it our home! read more

We just stayed one night in a tent site. Great campground! Very clean and quiet. The only noise is from freeway. Sites for tent have pea gravel rather than dirt ground which kept the inside of the tent much cleaner! There was a fire pit with benches, nice picnic table, lock box, and electric. Storage review: I would not recommend anyone store their RV at this KOA. Mine was vandalized a couple years ago and recently burglarized. The rates are high for what you get and the security is lax. The gate and nighttime guard are just for show. Anyone can come in during the day and do whatever they want. I have also been allowed to enter at night without providing any identification or proof I rent a space there. Find another location and do not trust the KOA name to protect your belongings. read more

Again I'll keep this short and sweet. I only stayed here for a single night traveling cross country so I'm not sure what it would be like long term. This KOA was clean, easy to book and easy to get to off the interstate. The sites were all well maintained and they have large (and again clean) showers, restrooms and laundry on site. There is 24 hrs security with a locked gate as well which you require a parking pass to get through. I didn't see many other amenities again because of the short stay but I don't doubt they have them. There seemed to be plenty of families and children having fun here too and everyone abided by the 10pm-7am quiet rules. I would definitely stay here again if me and/or my family are in the area and need a place to crash short or long term. read more

Conveniently located to people I visit, I've stayed here half a dozen times. Before my most recent visit, I've been happy with the place: it represented the KOA franchise very well, and all the amenities were there: clean bathrooms, easy to use wifi, laundry, well-sloped dump. This latest visit disappointed. The main men's bathroom had TP holders that wouldn't roll or were out of TP. The dump's hose wasn't working (though one was conveniently close). But the TengoInternet wifi was just a pain: the way the park has it configured (requiring signup with a coupon) isn't compatible with my iPad or Chromebook. I'm hoping it was just a fluke, I want to stay here again, but working wifi is becoming a dealbreaker for me. read more

This KOA was definitely the highlight of my trip. I got "stuck" in albuquerque because ABQ shuttle doesn't run on sundays...so i was in town for a day. So i stayed here and fell in love with KOA all over again even seriously considering it making where i stay exclusively. This KOA is whats known as a journey KOA a basic campground but they have a playground, swimming pool,hot tun and are pet friendly. I walked in with no reservations and got a little cabin for two nights and the lady checking me in was smart enough to put two and two together and adviced me to not go walkin the neighborhood as there were some unsavory characters.super sweet lady told me how to get to the sprouts market. I am almost exclusively bus and public transit so this KOA was within a walking distance to a bus stop two gas stations and a whole ton of RV centers getting on the #66 it is a straight shot down central to the biopark and old town. I would advice going else where bought hot dogs for 1.99 can get those at walmart for 80 cents and 5.00 for plates which you can go elsewhere and get em for a buck.it is right off the highway but you don't hear much freeway noise. Everything was nice and clean. Real quiet. Can have a fire too but we didn't. Our only complaint is that the pools not open until 9 am and closes at 9 pm. On these hot days it sure would be nice to swim earlier. But on a good note it was clean and refreshing! read more

We stayed for one night. We arrived at 6:30 pm and the staff was extremely nice. However, be prepared, this park is in the ghetto. I thought our GPS was off until we turned the corner and saw the big bright KOA sign. The park itself is very clean. It has a great dog run. The spots are a little close but for one night it worked out just fine. If you're looking for clean and easy this is it. Not really a "vacation" park, more of an "on the road and need a place to crash park ". All in all, it was OK. read more

Ooohhh! Albuquerque KOA, y'all really made the best of what you have. The neighborhood could be better...I would not recommend a late night moonlit stroll, but the "escort" rolling around all night on his golf cart and the tall security fence really helped me achieve a peaceful night sleep away from the freeway. The campsite had several amenities and was well kept, but we did not get a chance to use them as Albuquerque really isn't the place to stop for more than one night in an RV. read more

Albuquerque KOA was awesome! The customer service was above and beyond!! They were kind enough to keep the pool open so my kids could swim after our arrival on a hot June evening. The space was shady and quiet. The showers and laundry were clean and well maintained. You are greeted upon arrival with smiles by their friendly staff. would definitely visit again. After a long day of driving we stopped in Albuquerque to rest. The KOA was right off the 40 fwy with easy access. The Mgnt were outside signing people in and then guiding us to our spots. The price was very fair for the luxurious campground. Our spot was spacious and most of all clean and level. The restrooms and showers were the cleanest of any we stayed at thruout the east coast and mid west. I would recommend this campground over just about anywhere we stayed at. Be very careful when you make a reservation at this KOA as if you have to cancel for any reason, you will forfeit the full stay during any special events! I had my R.V. break down and I tried to cancel my reservation. I was told" too bad you forfeit the entire amount of your stay". I have stayed here before and have seen them make exceptions for their friends and other customers. So here is your $241.00 worth of bad publicity and by word of mouth tell of your double standards! read more

We tent camped here for one night. Tent sites were right by the highway and loud, though the gravel beds were well kept. Pool, laundry and hot tub were great, showers and bathroom nice. Hosts were very welcoming. Would never tent camp here, though the RV side of the park looked really nice. read more

I am not big in writing reviews but felt the need in this instance. We have not stayed at this KOA location because we could not get anyone to call us back. My wife contacted the office to inquire about a 2 month stay from May to June 2018. She was told that the manager would return our call within a couple of days. After a week of not hearing from anyone, we called again. They apologized and said we should hear from a manager by the next day. As you can guess by the 1 star rating, we never heard back. I know as a small business owner that it seems that there is never a enough time in the day but making time to return phone calls should be a priority. It was clean and nice. We stayed in the deluxe cabin which was great. My complains come in that there were no clear instructions on how to check out or where to leave the key if you want to leave before 8 AM when the office opens. Also, I had to make up 3 of the 4 beds. When paying that kind of money I expect to come and have the bunk beds ready. read more

Wish I would have read all the reviews and known it was literally right across the street from a...less than desirable... neighborhood with loud cars, people doing burn outs and young adults outside sitting on their cars drinking and hollering. You need a code to get into a bathroom when they are open. The cabin was nice if it hadn't back right up to the loud road. We also had an RV spot in our group. The space was not very roomy but at least it was quieter being further into the site. Will not be returning to this KOA mainly because of its location. Also there were no smoke detectors in the cabin, there were holders where they go but none actually there. I feel this is really unsafe especially around 4th of July. read more
